I was a fan of Creed when this album came out. This song immediately became my favorite over the other singles from this album and that was before they became a commercial success with songs like " Higher" and "Arms Wide Open".

I believe this song was dedicated to 9/11 the victims how the world was torn apart at that time.
Creed is an amazing man saw them at Nassau coliseum and they sound amazing live and this was performed!

Great band! This particular song is not my cup of tea. I can hear good qualities that others, without my 60's, 70's, and 80's biases, would hold the song up as a huge hit.
Their songs "Arms Wide Open" and "Higher" are amazing hits, IMHO. They hold their own with the best of Rush, Kansas, and Styx.

It's the lyrics for me, it's a bit harder than my normal preferences too but the lyrics and the meaning behind them pulls me in.

Many will comment on this, I'm sure, so I will just say that Creed was unjustly dismissed by some rock fans. They were big for a while, but suddenly they became ridiculed. Along the same line as Nickelback. One reason for this disdain was probably that some of their songs had Christian themes.
Creed has a good number of hits. And their videos could be very creative and thought provoking.

The thing is, they were never a Christian band. Scott himself *is* a Christian and grew up in a religious household so his lyrics sometimes pulled from what he knew but it wasn't intentional to *be* religious in any way.
