    I spent months looking around at other PT videos on RUclips, and they all either keep you on the hook to watch more videos without quite telling you everything you need to know, or worse, they try to sell you an exercise plan (or products with the promise that they'll help!!) after they hook you. I appreciate that you provided so many options and levels to the excercises, this way I was able to find variations that my body didn't say "nope, that looks painful, I'm not doing it" to and felt challenging just the right amount and pain free to practice. I recently figured out that the cause behind the pain I epxerience in various parts of my body is most likely from unstable joints. I watched, practised excercises and took advice from several of your videos and I am so thankful for the in depth explanations and guidance. Even after one time practise I felt at least temporary relief in the targeted areas and I am sure with consistency I will be able to strengthen my joints so I can move pain free and without the risk of unnecessary injury. The point is thank you so much for your efforts, I love your videos.

    Wow, you are doing an egregious injustice two many people who think they might have this condition known as snapping hip syndrome. Indeed, it may well be many of the numerous conditions you described with various tendons, but… And this is a big but, the problem can be femoroacetabular impingement. To flippantly say it’s nothing to worry about is an error, because in fact, sometimes it is a lot to worry about. As you should know, every case is different when dealing with the human body, of course, you really shouldn’t have to be told this.

      Fair point. He does mentioned his FAI when talking about the third type of snapping hip. I have FAI and have some popping in my left hip, but it’s painless and is hard to tell if it’s related to FAI or snapping hip. I don’t have any of the other FAI symptoms (like groin pain or inability to deep squat) but do have the popping sound. Could be painless labrum damage

    I have internal snapping myself since a friend pulled away a mat when doing long jump 15 years ago (a poor joke). I'm also a physiotherapist. Although my hip still snaps I was able to take away a lot of the "tightness" and all pain with three simple exercises:
    -Small (glute) bridges
    -Lying hip rotations
    -Dead bug (this one produces the snap)
    I have no scientific evidence for this program but I did it three times a week after my rucking sessions and it helped. Do what you will with this information.

      @@darioxbrow9223 I had some soreness after the first few times, but nothing major. If you have stabbing or sharp pain it might be worth having it checked, otherwise I would wait a bit and see if it goes away.
      If you are older and get pain from bridges that is pretty common. Almost everyone above 30 have some kind of disc-degeneration and depending on the way it looks excessive flexion or extension of the back can produce some pain.

    • @RasmusSvedin
      @RasmusSvedin 5 месяцев назад

      @@darioxbrow9223 Don't know why my last comment disappeared. I had some soreness after doing them for a few weeks but nothing major. If the pain is mild I would push for a few weeks, but if it's more of a sharp stabbing pain you might want to get it checked if you haven't.
      Also, pain from small bridges in the back is common when you have some kind of disc degeneration/herniated discs which almost everyone above the age of 30 has. Most are completely asymptomatic though. Our mechanistic understanding of pain is not as good as some physiotherapists want to make it seem. In later years we have come to understand that state of mind plays a huge role in all painful conditions, and I've had several patients who's become pain free once they understand that nothing in them is broken and they learn that moving is good for them.
      On the other end of the spectrum you have mechanistics nerds like Stuart Mcgill who try to predict the future on flawed models and tells you your back is super fragile. I can say with confidence that he's wrong though, and his school of pain/dysfunction only make people hyper vigilant and afraid of moving. Your body is made to move. Move as much as is comfortable, and stop if you have a lot of discomfort or pain, but soreness is normal, especially when you haven't done something a lot before.

    I'm no expert by any means, but for me my internal snapping often goes coupled with anterior pelvic tilt from excessive sitting.
    The cause of my snapping doesn't seem to be lack of strength or mobility on its own, but more an imbalance in strength and mobility causing improper hip to femur position during certain movement.
    Which just means I've been slacking during my workouts on my full range of motion strength exercises, or over working/under working certain muscle-groups.

    • @DavidBertossi
      @DavidBertossi Год назад

      You are just weak or uncoordinated in that position of hip extension, while you go to the eccentric and stretch you need a good deal of stability coming from the trunk and also control of the hip musculature, i have it too because my left leg is weaker than my right but while i focus on stabilizing the left, the snapping dissapears. Just a matter of repeating and getting stronger in that position and being aware of not letting your pelvis go to anterior pelvic tilt at the end range otherwise you are missing strengthening this very aspect of the motion that is beneficial, keep a pelvis in slight posterior pelvic tilt while doing it and over time i think even with the anterior pelvic tilt you won't have issues as control and strength should have been developed.

      @@wetbreadno8279 I would try loaded hip movements that strengthen the hips through a wide range of motion, "quadruped fire hydrants" with a band are worth trying

    you had me at the first part ngl, but then "activity modifications" part is kinda ridiculous. If you are a soccer player, try not to hit the ball too hard. OMG, seriously?

    Could you guys do one for Distal Clavicular Osteolysis? I'm having pain in the collarbone. Wondering if it's my weak neck or overused shoulders.
