  • Surely many of you have heard about a dish called Chicken a la King. Picture a chicken pot pie, but ditch the crust and serve that creamy chicken and veggie goodness over noodles. Well, seeing as I've been a Queens, NY boy for a good chunk of my life, I'm ditching the noodles and subbing in some biscuits and calling this one Chicken a la Queens! It is a huge hit in my original orange book and is now made readily available right at your fingertips.

I like to split the biscuits open and butter the halves first. Then dish up the chicken and sauce. Yummmm

Jeff, in the good ole days (the 1960s), one would wallop the biscuit can on the (often metal) edge of the counter, as the spoon thing worked poorly. This might work for you - but don't try it, if you've a fancy granite or other modern counter. Thanks again for yet another terrific and easy recipe!

Exactly. My mom would wack that container on the side of the counter without blinking an eye..😂

I still wack mine on my fancy granite modern counter! It is made for this!

Oooh! I missed where you taught how to make the “Boursin” like cream cheese. I’m going to look for that now! Buying it ready made can almost put you into bankruptcy! Lol. Have your book - so amazing! Love your food, Jeffrey

I saw "Chicken a la Queens" and I had no idea what that was. Then I heard "Chicken a la King" and thought, "Oh, okay!" even though I have no idea what that is either. But I'd at least heard of it. And now...I know what it is?
