Breloom is the Goat of all the grass types in Hoenn. It has only 1 downside, it belongs to the "Fluctuating" exp growth group which means it takes the most exp to reach level 100 and the level/exp curve is a very weird peicewise function.
It also has pure garbage special attack, which by gen3 rules eliminates all damaging grass-type moves. But yeah, Breloom is bae. Alongside Cacturne, which is a free win ticket against Tate&Lisa, Juan and most of the Elite 4.
@@DeuxisWasTaken true, gen 3 rules for attack damage category being typed based really nerfs a bunch of pokemon. For example sneasle is a physical attacker but both dark and ice types are special. And its signature move beat up deals typeless damage. Granted after gen 3 they didn't get better about matching physical/special attacker to the move pool of pokemon making some pokemon suck for no good reason just because stats and moves don't match.

And then you can scream "NO BOB!!!" and it feels personal, you know? The goal is to hurt yourself more through emotional connection to your teammates To some though, it's just a silly thing they do. Especially people who run Nuzlockes more often and are more 'efficient' & 'strategy' based rather than just in it for the fun stories. They'll be more bummed out about their Bob dying because he was good for the next gym, rather than the attachment through a long journey - more often than not. People do still get attached, even if it's not that deep

New to the community so this is probably a dumb question but are you allowed to save at all? Also, if you lose a gym battle or something does that mean you automatically lose? Or are you allowed to pull a different set of pokemon in the box since it technically isnt violating any of the rules?

I got lucky and RUclips recommended me your first ever video right after it came out, and I haven't missed one since. You've come so far and it's been great to watch.
Hoenn R/S/E had good variety with grass types though tbh. You have Sceptile, Ludicolo for a water type, breloom for a fighting type, Shifty or Cacturn if you want a dark type, Tropius if you need a flying type, Vileplume or Roseila for a poison type and Cradily for rock type
Too bad that Shifry and Cacturne are physical attackers, but dark was a special type. Same thing with Roselia -- special attacker and poison being q physical type.
I have only watched two of your videos but damn your content is amazing. The fact that you actually use an strategy for these fights is so nice, like setting up attack boosts and calculating the right EVs for your team unlike other youtubers on their challenge videos. I'm totally looking forward to watch more nuzlockes from you.
Very well done! Breloom's one of my fave Pokemon and my fave Fighting type. :) Honestly? Might be a hot take but I do think Wallace is actually pretty scary for Nuzlockes. Yeah he's a Water type specialist but in Gen 3, where Water's weaknesses are Special AND the fact his Mons are Specially bulky (Gyarados, Milotic, Tentacruel, Ludicolo) gives him an easier time wearing down teams for hardcore Nuzlockes lol. His team has some pretty good synergy to cover Water's weaknesses too. Turns out, Water's an amazing type. :V

I always read the species clause as being optional. If your encounter on a route is a line you already have, you MAY choose to reroll the encounter. I thought it was supposed to help you avoid being stuck with 6 wurmples, not ban you from choosing to do it.
