2 Questions here, 1. (see at 7:12 in the video) the T. settlement contours (bulb) are not uniform known that the applied load is uniform, is there a reason for that? I am expecting to see same as the uniform stress distribution (stress bulb) below the strip footing but here it is not !! 2. Is there a way to see the footing failure region (i.e. General shear failure shape/envelop) your videos are really helpful, thanks a lot for that.😍
@@geotechniq Sure, yes. I have not cleared my point, actually my questions is general in modeling any shallow footing, because I tried to do it and it failed but non of the options showed me the failure envelope.
@@raedrefaei2529 you go to check deformation, then go to incremental,... Then can see the failured shape. It is more clear to check the safety check. C phi reduced, failured will be shown.

1. At the center of footing, settelment is maximum.
2. We can check failure shape, easily.
@@geotechniq Great, I've tried many option but I couldn't find the best described one. Is there a specific option allow me to get it?
Thanks
@@raedrefaei2529 because your structure is not yet failured, how can you see the failured shape.
