Early Muslims did not hate Paul. During the Middle Ages, Muslim scholars said that Paul was a faithful follower of Jesus. That was before the Islamic scholars got around to comparing the Qur'an to the Bible, which is when they realized that the Qur'an CONTRADICTS the Bible instead of affirming it. Ever since then, Muslims have been scrambling to find a way to explain this giant gaffe on Allah's part. Modern Muslims have simply chosen Paul as the scapegoat. After all, Paul was not one of the original disciples, plus Paul wrote a large portion of the NT. What Muslims fail to understand is that Paul did NOT change the teachings of Jesus. Ya-seen 36:14 says that 2 messengers were sent who were rejected, and that a third messenger was sent to reinforce. According to Ibn Kathir 36; 13-17, the first 2 messengers were Simon Peter and John, and the third messenger was Paul (Bulus) who was sent to Antioch.
Muhammad never met Jesus or any of the original disciples. Muhammad knew nothing of the Hebrew scriptures. When it comes to a choice between Paul and Muhammad, the logical choice can only be Paul.

A good argument can be made that there are 2 reasons why our Muslim friends hate/dislike Paul:
Reason 1
Muslims would tell us that it was Paul who founded Christianity. This would then mean that they would credit the person of Paul for single handedly creating the world's largest religion for the last 2,000 years.
Reason 2
Muslims believe Allah gave Isa a book and that no one can change the words of Allah and yet Muslims claim that Paul changed the words of Allah. Our Muslim friends claim that Paul managed to corrupt, destroy and changed Allah's words. So the book that Allah revealed to Isa did not even survive 30 years and yet the "corrupted" book that Paul wrote survived and is preserved for 2,000 years until today.
Neither of these two reasons makes a lot of sense...
Either case, Paul comes off as stronger than Lalah.

Young can also be 18 or 20 - its a very flexible term whereas what we have in the Islamic literature is hard evidence that Aisha was 9 at consummation. So what are we going to do about this?

The book of Jasher clearly states that Rebecca was 10 when she married Isaac at 36. The catholic encyclopedia clearly states that Marry was between 12-14 years old when betrothed to 93 years old Joseph.
These historians who exposed the age of marry are the same people who your scholars quote to prove Jesus crucifixion.
the Book of Jasher (24:40) states that Rebecca was 10 years old when she was married off to Isaac. Additionally, the same source indicates that Isaac was 40 years old at the time of their marriage.
The above age is usually when girls get married at the time of Jesus, one of the early church father Jerome considered Mary to be a young woman, when she gave birth to Jesus which means she was just after reaching puberty which lands her between 10-13 years old.
