You will have a good idea about the temperature cycle of the weather where you live. For instance where I live we have 3 dry hot months between March and May. At the end of May, beginning of June the rainy season starts and it cools down. In the hot months the peak temperature reaches about 40 Celsius at around 4 pm and I switch on my AC at 2 pm when the temperature is still about 32 Celsius. Obviously cooling down from 32 to 28 takes less time and power than from 40 to 28, so I anticipate cooling to stabilize the AC so it only has to keep the temperature at low power and energy saving at 40% when it gets really hot. It really makes a big difference in power consumption and, of course, lessens the wear on the compressor, fans, etc. I never use the Jet function. That's like red-lining your car engine.

Some models having a mark "Mute (3s)" next to the Light Off button. When you see it, press and hold Light Off button in your remote control for 3 seconds and then the chime will be muted.
Air clean modes means when you switch off the aircon, the fan will still continue to run to blow any moisture dry for the next 10 mins. Without air clean mode, aircon will off together with the fan. This will cause moisture on the coil that will turn to mold.

dehumidification is mositure removal from the air with out affecting temperature. This occurs a little bit with the proccess of air conditioning so the setting must put more energy into extracting moisture from the air rather than cooling.

Hi, That's not possible we have to set timer everyday.
