It sucks when someone or something that has always been there and left such an impact and print on your life suddenly disappears. Especially when it's caused by something horrible. Same here. I thought this focused on the loss of a child, but after I lost my brother over two years ago, this song (especially the chorus) hit me even harder. It's a beautiful song, and I felt like it really described how I felt at that night when my dad broke the news about him.

My step-nan who lives in France is dieing from cancer and I rlly want to see her. 😭😭😭😭. My dad has gone over to say goodbye. I don't see her very often and now I am scared that I will never see her again. 😭😭😭😭. I've known people who have lost their children, but even then you dont know how much it hurts...until you're the one going through it. I realized something. I think this song might be about mothers losing their child, more specifically, about mothers losing a baby. Think about it some of the lyrics:
"Your hand. So small. Held a strain of my hair so strong" Babies like grabbing things as they get older. My baby cousin used to grab my hair all the time and pull it.
"I waited so long for you to come" You usually have to wait 9 months for a baby, sometimes they will come earlier and be premature, but you usually still have to wait a while.
"Then you were here. And now your gone. I was not prepared for you to leave me. Oh this is misery" The baby was born, but died. Either after labor or days or weeks later. Also, you can never be prepared for your child to leave you. It sucks.
That's all I could think of. If you have more, tell me. Now, it sucks for a mother to lose their baby. My grandmother was pregnant with my dad when her nephew/godson died. He was only a couple weeks old, maybe a month
