Yeah if you could somehow get someone from nitro circus there, that'd definitely make for a great video

Man I wish I could have gotten this kind of support from skaters back in my inline days. Being the only aggressive blader in Olympia, WA I got a lot of hate from the skateboarders. So seeing you all hyped up with those pros was really cool.
Im a blader from Saginaw mi and probably the only one here and most of the boarders here support me i really wish we had more bladers ober here
Was gonna say the same. That ending was nothing but love and support from everyone. Respect is hard to come by in these extreme sports. It’s kind weird actually
Fruit bootz
The biggest beef between bladers and boarders was over two decades old, I think we've gotten older and maturity is starting to bury the hatchet.
I think blading needs it, blading would recover if they were invited to more boarder events or even given the X Games again.

After skating on and off for 5 years I watched this video and ended up buying a set of razor shift V1's and giving it a crack . Anyone who argues about the two sports being harder or better than one another needs to grow up IMO. It's been a refreshing experience and everyone's been through that stage where you try something new and get stoked off landing new tricks and hitting milestones. Super stoked I tried it out and I'm loving it . Peace ✌️
I've been skating in-line since I was 8 (I'm 18 now) and I absolutely love it. I don't get why people hate on it or atleast hated on it. Getting comfortable with just your balance going forward and backwards takes a long time.
Last time I put on a set of Rollerblades I hit a massive milestone. I guess I should have been watching where I was going.
As a fellow blader, I agree my dude, skated for 12 years, got to the point where I could do handrails and jump 14 stairs, then I fucked up my knee, but I miss those days, this vid took me back.
I tried both when I was younger and had an easier time balancing on a skateboard I couldn't do tricks as my older cousins wouldn't teach me
@@sorrym8421 it had alot to do with jealousy when rollerblading was at its peak. Skaters were mad that Rollerblading was more popular and they didn't struggle for years to get popular and build a culture
I love this video. I probably watch it once a week. Just seeing a positive vibe between skaters and bladers...I never thought I'd see the day. I was 12 in 1999 so was fully swept up in blading. I tried to do skateboarding after but I always felt more at home on "fruit boots". Thank you guys for making something that i never thought would happen, happen.
What did you skate back then?im from the 2000s and rn i have a pair of aaron feinberg pro model solomans om gonna prolly get a pair of cult streets
Basics are easier on rollerblades but serious tricks with rotations ( example 540 to some grind) are complex like a complex flip on board, and really dangerous. Every extreme sport had it's own hard stuff. I'm so glad to see skateboarders and rollerbladers give support and respect to each other, basically they are all SKATERS.
I kinda agree, blading is an easier sport at the beginning and intermediate but at the highest level Blading is flat out suicidal poetry in motion. You can have so much style and ease - STEAZE, and be so expressive, but the moment you raise the amplitude, speed, size of obstacles, it makes for the risk of serious injury because you are locked into the skates. You CANNOT bail. At some point the trick is to big, too technical, and you pay the price. Blading fell off in the mid 00's because the scene progressed to a point where it was too dangerous to really keep upping the bar and if people were falling a lot in the XGames... people wouldn't enjoy watching falls and incomplete runs. BLADING AND SKATEBOARDING ARE FOREVER THE TRUEST GRAVITY DISCIPLINES. Thanks for showing Blading and all its glory. Disney movie: Brink.
I think it's time for older bladers and boarders to bury their beef more publicly. I think that would pave the way towards the blading industry finding its footing again.
This is seriously the best thing to happen for blading in such a long time. 🙏🙏🙏 Thank You to the Braille Crew for showing us in a positive light
For sure! I skateboarded for 3-5 years but I bladed for 20. Boarders where I lived always looked down on blades. It's sad. Getting over "your own superiority" and have fun with each other, that's what Braille promotes.
They have to do the same with professional scooter rider I think it would be great
I finally we are in the light!
@@Pot2fleur_osu Yeah but scooter is known, not like blades!

MORE!! THIS is what we need to see!! There is NO reason for bad blood between skaters and rollerbladers. We’re all skating. And the more skaters there are, the more skate parks will be built, the more skate shops there will be, the more contests there will be, the more money there will be for pro’s, the more innovation there is in equipment, etc. It’s just like skiing and snowboarding: They need each other. There aren’t enough snowboarders for “snowboarding” resorts, and without snowboarders, many ski resorts would have to shut down. Plus, they feed off each other’s culture and technology. Blazers and skaters unite!!
What does blazing and skating have to do with eachother? Just kidding i know they go hand in hand
Early X-Games coverage was brutal for inline athletes. The announcers snubbed them, skateboarders pushed them around. It got to the point where X-Games literally pushed inline out before the sport even peaked. This moment in history was a turning point for boarders. They now had the "go ahead" to spread prejudice, intolerance, homophobia and hate: causing a decline in roller-bating and an incline in senseless beatings.
Blading is gay.
Explain to us exactly how you know blading is gay, whether you enjoy it, and whether you regard “gay” as good or bad.

As a kid born in 1985. I grew up watching the early x games. When rolletblading was still included. I did it all. Rollerblade, skateboard, and bmx. I loved them all equally, although i was always best on my rollerblades. I never got too crazy, but launch ramps were the most fun for me. Now im 33 and glad to see skaters and bladers coming together. Im a grown woman now, but was very much a tomboy as a child. Great times.

@@SB335i Also of the '84 vintage. Sometimes my body sure feels like it's older than it is.
I also did both skateboarding and inline skating as a kid. In my early 20's I even had a gas powered skateboard, in fact, I still have it somewhere now that I think about it.
A few years ago I bought a pair of Powerslide Triskates 125mm. While I'm not tricking as much as the teen inside me would like to, I just enjoy bombing around town outpacing younger people on my massive wheels. It gets me out and moving and has rekindled my relationship with fitness.

@@smashingpunkkids You got points there. Check out the Barely Dead blading documentary, answers a lot of questions.
Yeah, the american xgames really helped fan that hatred. Wasnt there at least 2 early 90s skate based movies? Airbourne and another...
I used to blade a lot in the 90's, but I also grew up in Hawaii where BMX, skaters and bladers all got along because we did it all, we all skated, bladed and BMX'd, then I moved to the mainland and that is where I learned that they called blades, fruit boots lol.
There was hate because people are followers. The 90s was a funny time, and even skateboarding wasn't socially acceptable. But there would still be hate and separation amongst people who bladed verse skated. Nevertheless, as much as skateboarding wasn't socially acceptable, it still attracted followers. And those followers hated just as those they idolized did. Glad to see it isn't about that today.

As a rollerblader who also like skateboarding I like seeing the two sports together. Too many skateboarders have a negative view on rollerblading and vice versa. Both are equally difficult. Skateboarding is super technical, based on balance and footwork. rollerblading is all about committing to the trick, balance and footwork. Tired of seeing segregation of 2 sports that are so similar. I like that the skateboarders tried it and would be interested in seeing the rollerblades skateboard with you guys. Great video
It's kind off funny how most roller bladers also skateboard but not really the other way around. But way back in the day I got a few of my skateboard friends to buy a pair of blades.
Couldn't agree more, It's a shame that so many skateboarders have a crazy negative attuide, it tends to be them more than others, they are like that with scooters/rollerblades and a bit less with bmxers for some reason. I love skateboarding, but HATE the elitist attuide. I love bmx/inline/skateboarding, not sure why it's one or the other.
People keep on hating similar things that are not the same. Skating and Blading, Camaro and Mustang, Coke and Pepsi, Marvel and DC... That's the source of raciscm.
@HappierHealthierYou I think I know what you mean. But at least technically what you write doesn't make much sense.
When you're a blader who is also skateboarding then you're also a skateboarder. A skateboarder who is also blading.
@@HappierHealthierYou oh hell yeah, I used to go to the skatepark all the time with some friends except I rollerbladed and they skated. Of course I picked up skating too just because of the ridicule and nagging from others but I never forgot about the blades.
