lap done on last year september, not very proud of this lap, as you can clearly tell this is way messier than the 40.0 86d lap (which i basically is using as a standard now), which means the 86t can probably do low 39 or 38

@@Paimonchuchuchui saw the top run on pk akina and the driver in that vid didn't rev match when downshifting most of the time so I believe he was turning more or less with the help of shift lock. it's a hard thing to pull off i think but still doesn't sit right with me
@@Paimonchuchuchu so your record is better in the regard that you don't lock up the rear axle when you downshift
@@ki2uk i see, understandable, i personally don't think there is any issue with thicc's run and the use of shift locking for rotation, it is just another driving style and it is a fair technique i'd also use in very tight corners for example in 1st gear hairpins in happogahara
@@Paimonchuchuchu yeah it’s just that it bothers me from a technical standpoint, nothing else. in ac terms it’s a valid technique just like powershifting to get better times

What is your cornering technique? or how do you go about these hairpins? Do you just brake hard to lower speed, lower brake pressure so you dont lock in and then handbrake to get the angle right? or am I missing something or even completely wrong? Sorry I am big beginner

does the tuned version have ABS? I swear any time I even brush the brake pedal in the 86 the wheels lock up instantly
no it doesn't, if you feel like you're locking up too much and can't cope, try moving the brake bias backwards (lowering the number to maybe 67%)
