I have all those 2U listed even the 25. But what was that 10 mm? Socket that you were looseing something with. ?
The oil filter housing has the egr valve or blatter housing inside of it. When it wears out it will whistle air out of the dip stick tube. Best thing to do is just replace the whole thing. It’s about a $700 job at a garage and even more at the dealer but it’s a normal thing for every 100k on this engine. Unfortunately it’s not like a v8 engine back in the day. Just do some research and DONT take it to the dealer to replace it. Big time expensive.

Onliest Thang I'd recommend is to loosen negative battery cable... but I LOVE THIS CAT

Plugs for the s40 should be gapped already. NGK plugs were.
