    I like how these videos show the screws holding the rotor on coming off so easily with just a screwdriver....LOL! Impact driver, PB Blaster, 2 hammers, blowtorch, and finally drilled out. Much fun and kudos to Honda engineers.

      I recently replaced the front discs on my 2003 Jazz. those screws were no problem whatsoever!...
      Easiest disc replacement I have ever done on any car!...

      Yep, just replaced my rotor (on my Honda Accord Euro) and it came off dead easy with a screwdriver, no problems. I just sprayed the screw with wd40, just in case. I think the screws are just better made on these Hondas.

      I almost had the same problem the screw was stripping out from age so I had a wild hair up my rear to try beating the shit out of the rotor with a deadblow and that magically loosened the screw

    Seems a very easy task. I got the bearing today. Now I just need to buy a car lift and a hydraulic press and I'll be ready to go.

    This is so relaxing to watch! I managed to get an entire steering knuckle from a wreckers for less than half the price of a new bearing. That should also save me the drama of pressing things in and out. Here goes...

    How did you remove the inner bearing race? Every other vid shows having to cut it off the hub shaft.

    • @nrvsauto8990
      @nrvsauto8990 5 лет назад

      Your will need to cut it off, they you can see he pops the hub of and there is no race left on or in the old bearing. This was all set up

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  5 лет назад

      Thank you for your feedback! In this case we skipped the replacement of the inner bearing race, but we used a special puller 1775N-60 HAZET. We have added this information to our new videos. Stay tuned! Kind regards, Autodoc!

    At 7:20 what is the size of the metal used to take the hub off? It is not that easy to take that off and there is a bearing cap missing from the hub :)

    How did you remove the bearing race from the hub? When I hammered out the hub from the knuckle like you did, the bearing race end was left on it.

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  5 лет назад

      Thank you for your feedback ! The mechanic removed the bearing race by the special tool after he hammered out the hub from the knuckle, you can watch it at 7:43. Best regards, Autodoc.

    • @somedavehikes
      @somedavehikes 5 лет назад +4

      autodoc.co.uk that is not correct. The inside race of the bearing will come off with the hub. The clip has nothing to do with that part. One must use a cut off wheel and carefully cut a groove in the bearing race then put hub in a vice and whack the cut with a hammer and chisel to break the inner bearing race free of the hub. I believe for this car there is no edge to grab it with a puller to get the race off of the hub so it must be cut, broken free and slid off. This is an important consideration for your video.

    • @stuCameraman1
      @stuCameraman1 2 года назад

      That's true... If you don't have a garage at your disposal then you need a cheap tool (I've used) that clamps under and grips tight.... Then wrench it off and it slides the inner bearing case off the hub shaft

      all the other bolts came out with an impact gun ball joint was rusted solid can only get at it with a spanner which even with heating it rounded the castle nut yes bad design by honda although it hasnt been off in about 10 years so disaster. time for the scrap yard as its not worth fixing

  • @FgtTunning
    @FgtTunning 7 лет назад

    And the driveshaft wheel nut size is 36 millimetres and the others are 17 mm and sometimes 19 and you cannot hang out the ball joint from the screw side you need to Hammer the side

    • @autodocuk

      best to get a bolt screw type extractor though, no need for a press and abolt extractor kit is like $40-80 on amazon, get the "ATD Tools 8625 Front Wheel Drive Bearing Adapter Kit", otherwise ABN sells a knockoff of that

    every part of this video is bullshit btw im a real mechanic and do this stuff everyday. first, remove wheel bolts always in a star pattern. slide hammer the hub out, leave the spindle in the car and use a bolt type screw press to remove the bearing shell, cut and chisel the inner race off the hub, press a new wheel stud in where that one was stripped and then use the screw press to install bearing, then clip then the hub. easy takes about a half hr and yes you need some sort of impact driver to remove rotor screws, the abs sensor will never come out easy, and never smash the threads on a tie rod end like that, hit the knuckle to dislodge the taper. this is childsplay with the right tools, and i would never ever use a bench press for this job its just rediculous
