I like how these videos show the screws holding the rotor on coming off so easily with just a screwdriver....LOL! Impact driver, PB Blaster, 2 hammers, blowtorch, and finally drilled out. Much fun and kudos to Honda engineers.
I recently replaced the front discs on my 2003 Jazz. those screws were no problem whatsoever!... Easiest disc replacement I have ever done on any car!...
Yep, just replaced my rotor (on my Honda Accord Euro) and it came off dead easy with a screwdriver, no problems. I just sprayed the screw with wd40, just in case. I think the screws are just better made on these Hondas.
I almost had the same problem the screw was stripping out from age so I had a wild hair up my rear to try beating the shit out of the rotor with a deadblow and that magically loosened the screw
This is so relaxing to watch! I managed to get an entire steering knuckle from a wreckers for less than half the price of a new bearing. That should also save me the drama of pressing things in and out. Here goes...
Thank you for your feedback! In this case we skipped the replacement of the inner bearing race, but we used a special puller 1775N-60 HAZET. We have added this information to our new videos. Stay tuned! Kind regards, Autodoc!
At 7:20 what is the size of the metal used to take the hub off? It is not that easy to take that off and there is a bearing cap missing from the hub :)
Thank you for your feedback ! The mechanic removed the bearing race by the special tool after he hammered out the hub from the knuckle, you can watch it at 7:43. Best regards, Autodoc.
autodoc.co.uk that is not correct. The inside race of the bearing will come off with the hub. The clip has nothing to do with that part. One must use a cut off wheel and carefully cut a groove in the bearing race then put hub in a vice and whack the cut with a hammer and chisel to break the inner bearing race free of the hub. I believe for this car there is no edge to grab it with a puller to get the race off of the hub so it must be cut, broken free and slid off. This is an important consideration for your video.
That's true... If you don't have a garage at your disposal then you need a cheap tool (I've used) that clamps under and grips tight.... Then wrench it off and it slides the inner bearing case off the hub shaft
The process is very informative....but there is no way all those nuts and bolts came off that easily and an impact gun to torque everything back on. No spec? I wished I had it that easy.
Thank you for your commnet! In general, the replacement will be similar, the only thing may differ slightly in the design features of your car. You can find more information in the technical documentation for your car repair. Best Regards, Autodoc team
Thank you for your request. You can choose this mantle of the desired size on our website. Here is the link www.autodoc.co.uk/spares-search?keyword=Mounting+Lever Best Regards, Autodoc team
my only issue is it appears the hub came out without the bearing race. but the bearing race is missing from the bearing. I feel like they failed to show how they got the race removed from the hub. lol. It almost never just comes off
Thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately, we can't recommend another tool as per safety regulations. we recommend that you contact the Car Specialized Service. Best regards, Autodoc.
I'm really thankful for your reply I hope my comment was not too harsh I'm just obsessed with perfection the really annoys me when I see a dot on my screen while I'm watching your video lol
all the other bolts came out with an impact gun ball joint was rusted solid can only get at it with a spanner which even with heating it rounded the castle nut yes bad design by honda although it hasnt been off in about 10 years so disaster. time for the scrap yard as its not worth fixing
And the driveshaft wheel nut size is 36 millimetres and the others are 17 mm and sometimes 19 and you cannot hang out the ball joint from the screw side you need to Hammer the side
Thank you for the feedback! It is appropriate to use a special puller instead of the hammer in order to avoid the risk of their damage. Best Regards, Autodoc
best to get a bolt screw type extractor though, no need for a press and abolt extractor kit is like $40-80 on amazon, get the "ATD Tools 8625 Front Wheel Drive Bearing Adapter Kit", otherwise ABN sells a knockoff of that
Thank you for the feedback! This construction is designed by Honda engineers and despite the simple design holds the bearing that it doesn't take off. Best Regards, Autodoc
Thank you for your feedback ! In this case the bearing should be mounted strictly in one position, this video shows it correctly. Best regards, Autodoc.
Thank you for the feedback! We are glad that our tutorial was helpful for you. The music can be turned off in the area below the video for your comfort.. Best regards, Autodoc.
Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate your comment, we will surely consider it when making new videos and try not to make such mistakes. Watch out for our upgrades. Our new video will turn up soon. Best regards, Autodoc.

every part of this video is bullshit btw im a real mechanic and do this stuff everyday. first, remove wheel bolts always in a star pattern. slide hammer the hub out, leave the spindle in the car and use a bolt type screw press to remove the bearing shell, cut and chisel the inner race off the hub, press a new wheel stud in where that one was stripped and then use the screw press to install bearing, then clip then the hub. easy takes about a half hr and yes you need some sort of impact driver to remove rotor screws, the abs sensor will never come out easy, and never smash the threads on a tie rod end like that, hit the knuckle to dislodge the taper. this is childsplay with the right tools, and i would never ever use a bench press for this job its just rediculous

@@itsallrobbish probably because they have been removed before.even tie rod s no that easy
I almost had the same problem the screw was stripping out from age so I had a wild hair up my rear to try beating the shit out of the rotor with a deadblow and that magically loosened the screw
Seems a very easy task. I got the bearing today. Now I just need to buy a car lift and a hydraulic press and I'll be ready to go.
Baka po ma share nyo ang serial number bearing bago ako magkalas makabili muna po ng bearing. TIA
This video inspired my husband to do it himself. 3 days later he finally finished...hahaha not as easy at all. Anyway, thanks for the video :)
We are glad that this video was useful to you!

Thank you for sharing your story with us!
How did you remove the inner bearing race? Every other vid shows having to cut it off the hub shaft.
Your will need to cut it off, they you can see he pops the hub of and there is no race left on or in the old bearing. This was all set up
Thank you for your feedback! In this case we skipped the replacement of the inner bearing race, but we used a special puller 1775N-60 HAZET. We have added this information to our new videos. Stay tuned! Kind regards, Autodoc!

Unfortunately we cannot answer your question.
I like this guy. No stupid chatter.
How did you remove the bearing race from the hub? When I hammered out the hub from the knuckle like you did, the bearing race end was left on it.
Thank you for your feedback ! The mechanic removed the bearing race by the special tool after he hammered out the hub from the knuckle, you can watch it at 7:43. Best regards, Autodoc.

Is the bearing magnetic for the abs sensor to work?
It is not possible to answer your question unambiguously, this information you can find in the technical documentation for the repair of your car.
Does this apply to the 2nd gen (GE) as well?
Thank you for your commnet!
In general, the replacement will be similar, the only thing may differ slightly in the design features of your car.

That ball joint nut location is such a bad design by Honda
Thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately, one faces the problem of design solutions in Honda for good car driving qualities. Best regards, Autodoc.

What ton press is that?
get the 20 ton or at least a 12 ton, 6 ton too weak
best to get a bolt screw type extractor though, no need for a press and abolt extractor kit is like $40-80 on amazon, get the "ATD Tools 8625 Front Wheel Drive Bearing Adapter Kit", otherwise ABN sells a knockoff of that
Thank you for the feedback! We use a press with the maximum load - 10 ton. Best Regards, Autodoc
I wonder how this whole bearing is holding on just 2 tiny snap-rings, how can it hold the abuse of hard cornering??
Thank you for the feedback! This construction is designed by Honda engineers and despite the simple design holds the bearing that it doesn't take off. Best Regards, Autodoc
I just give her Honda's are Ike full size go carts
Honda Jazz also known in America as the Honda Fit
OMG - Now I know it will be expensive for one of my Honda Jazz's Wheel Bearings to be replaced this Monday.
Thank you for sharing your opinion!
The music was like gran turismo 1 lobby music
Fye ass beat lol good video
It looks like he's installing the wheel bearing backward
Thank you for your feedback ! In this case the bearing should be mounted strictly in one position, this video shows it correctly. Best regards, Autodoc.
