Thanks for posting all these classic games, some of the greatest memories in sports for me... and hold on a second here...there I was...2:03:50, the vendor walking down the steps selling "ICE CREAMS BARS HEEERE!!!". I cashed out at the bottom of the 7th and went up to the 500 level with the louder fans!!!!
What gets lost in this game is that if Mitch Williams retires Joe Carter, Game 7 is practically assured. Why? With 2 outs, Alfredo Griffin would've been the batter as he ran for Olerud one inning prior. The Jays' bench was a bunch of Maytag Repairmen during the season, and Mitch Williams likely gets Griffin to send it to a 7th game. Thus, Molitor's hit was pivotal. If Mitch got Molitor, you'd likely see an intentional walk to Carter even if Rickey was on first base, because you don't let the MLB RBI leader from 1986-'93 beat you. With one out and two on, Williams had to pitch to Joe, as if he walked him and then got Griffin (or another pinch-hitter) for out #2, he still would've faced Roberto Alomar, and anything could've happened. But one bad slider to Carter, and we'll let the pictures speak for itself.
Thx for video, this what I was look for as Mitch William,by looking at mound using his feet slip down so much, and his hand on the mound, that's cause the Homer run!😉,I like classics games although I'm red Sox fans 👍💯😷
It still makes me sick as a Phillies fan, seeing Joe Carter's home run. This was also the last MLB game to be broadcast on CBS. Also the last championship final that Sean McDonough would call until the 2022 Stanley Cup Finals on ABC.

I would have went with Roger Mason to pitch the bottom of the 9th. He gave the Phillies two good innings. I would have took my chances with him. Not Mitch Williams.
PHILLIES FAILED TO REACHED GAME 7 OH BOY!!! WELL THAT'S IT NO MORE BASEBALL FOR TONIGHT SO IT TIME TO GO HOME AND GET SOME SO FOR ALL OF US HERE HAVE A GOOD NIGHT AND A GREAT RUNAWAY ADVENTURE. HAVE A GOOD ONE AND SO LONG FROM TORONTO. MAN:AND WE ARE CLEAR.
I think that Tim was talking about the fact the Phillies' fans were afraid of seeing them blow the 6-5 lead--and as it turned out, we know how this turned out.
McCarver mentioned this because the Philly fans and some players, notably Curt Schilling, had a habit of either covering their heads with a towel, not watching the game play, while Mitch Williams was on the mound. It was most prevalent in the MLB Postseason, when everything is magnified. Even as a Blue Jays fan, I felt it was kind of cruel for the fans and players to do that to Mitch, especially in the postseason. Pitching in that situation is pretty high stress as it is. Also, Mitch saved 40+ games for the Phillies in the regular season, and even got the save to clinch the NL Pennant that year. The worst time to fail is definitely the postseason, but Fregosi even said that without Mitch, Philly wouldn't have gotten to the WS.
it was a pussy move for shilling to do that to Mitch Williams you had dysktra who's a crack head Kurt who's a Trump supporting coward who failed in the video game world once a pussy always a pussy
@@Aokoebor You salty? Curt Schilling is, without a doubt, one of if not the greatest postseason pitcher of all time. He shut out the Blue Jays the game before this.
I can proudly say I was there! Epic moment for Blue Jays fans.
And as a Mets fan, it takes great pleasure in seeing the Phillies lose and also Curt Schilling sitting like that. Can’t stand that guy.
THANK YOU! You're so classy to post these as a Phillies fan. Much love and respect from Toronto.
This is the game that made baseball my first love.
The best part of these videos are the commercials. No DEI commercials.
1993 Phillies had a great year and didn't expect them coming this far.Blue Jays was a real tough team,
This still hurts

Don't care about your ice cream lies.
Blue Jay fan forever but the 1993 Phillies were a really good baseball team. Old school!
It's Phillies vs Blue Jays. This was in Toronto.
Curt Schilling sitting motionless after the walk-off says it all
@Tim Jones yeah, like he knew that was coming at the time

I’m a giants fan, but this game is my earliest baseball memory. What a classic!
The Americans hated seeing the Blue Jays win the WS.
The greatest World Series of all time

Crazy how 91 was seen as high velocity back then lol.
Best offense I have ever seen.
The last CBS broadcast of a MLB game to date.
3:38:38 The moment.
I remembered being heartbroken when JC hit that hr i was only 12 😂
Thank you for posting these last few games. The ClassicMLB11 channel hasn't posted any games in over a month. Dicks
"Touch em all, Joe! You'll never hit a bigger home run in your life!"
I still feel the pain from that gopher ball by Williams.
I'M STILL HERE!

IT WAS ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 23, 1993.
I steaked downtown and lost my wallet
This World Series was lost by the Phillies manager.

Nice to see Joe West NOT THERE in this game.
Hey, guess what you have a chance to win it the year!
I would have went with Roger Mason to pitch the bottom of the 9th. He gave the Phillies two good innings. I would have took my chances with him. Not Mitch Williams.
I like how the umpires are watching Joe to make sure he touches all the bases..I mean, COME ON..it's a homerun. They won.
Still have to cross home for it to count
That’s literally what an umpire is supposed to do.
I love watching the Phillies sad faces
3:31. Thats a man right there. Now today players miss almost a week cause of stuff like that.
Darren Daulton 😢😢😢😢😢😢
One thumbs down from Mitch Williams as of 4/29/20

3:28:52: what in the world is Tim McCarver talking about? Once a tool, always a tool. This chump should have retired years ago.
