- Jo Ann Pflug appears on the show for the first time in a while announcing she is pregnant. Remember, Jo Ann Pflug was married to Chuck Woolery.
Bert Convy, Brett Somers, Charles Nelson Reilly, Jo Ann Pflug, Richard Dawson, and Joyce Bulifant
Just happened to watch this on 9/7/18, the day after the world learned that Burt Reynolds - the #1 answer on this episode's Audience Match - had passed away. Truly the end of an era. Memory eternal.
Yes indeed!!
Yes, and Burt actually appeared on the show once, although sadly, not as a panelist. He was taping an episode of the Dinah Shore Show or something, next door, and just stopped by to say hi.
I love Bert Convey. He has the cutest dimples.
Second best gameshow host EVER after Allen Ludden

@@kristabrewer6736He seems totally fake to me.
Jo Anne's baby would be a girl named Melissa, the only child that she and Chuck Woolery had...
Wow! Didn't know that!!!
@@janeporter818 Try Wikipedia. It's a great cheat sheet!
Nice.
13:04 Richard smoking right next to her.
They didn't think about 2nd hand smoke much back then.
The late Messrs. Convy and Reynolds formed a game-show production company called Burt and Bert Productions. Nice to see Joyce again.
H/H match update:
Note: We haven't a successful H/H match since #499!
This week sees the return of Bert Convy, Jo Ann Pflug, and Joyce Bulifant! This is the first time ever that all six panelists have a history of 3 or more successful H/H matches under their belt!
Joyce has the least H/H match experience of this week's celebrities, but even she has been chosen 4 times and matched 3 of those -- not bad!
I'd say this is a lucky week to be a winning Match Game contestant with such a wide variety of "dingbats" (Gene's word) to choose from, all with good to great track records of winning H/H matches!
Or will everyone just keep choosing Richard all week?
Speaking of Richard, he seems temporarily stuck at 99 H/H matches, because today was his *fifth* miss in a row, dropping him just below Brett in overall accuracy. This is now the fourth time in MG history that Brett's accuracy rating has surpassed his...
Here's the updated leader board showing the 11 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy:
Orson Bean - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts).
Gary Burghoff - 83.3% (5 wins in 6 attempts).
TIE: Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts).
TIE: Joyce Bulifant - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts).
Fannie - 50% (9 wins in 18 attempts).
Betty - 48.4% (15 wins in 31 attempts).
Charles - 45.9% (17 wins in 37 attempts).
Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 wins in 18 attempts).
Brett - 36.6% (15 wins in 41 attempts).
Richard - 36.5% (99 wins in 271 attempts).
Bert - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts).
*These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 506, excluding the lost/missing episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325. (As per MatchGameProductions, these episodes "are nowhere to be found and also aren't in the Goodson/Todman Library. Sadly, looks like they are lost forever!")
And making its debut here is the second version of the neon money sign (notice that the digits are skinnier, and the "1" that goes down the middle in the second digit (for $1000)) and this would be in place until Episode 1245.
What about Bert and Ernie (Sesame Street)?
Jo Ann Pflug is cute-nuff said!
The theme music brings me back to such a simpler time!
That was kind of rude of Bert to call the contestant's wife in the audience "not in a skinny condition." Maybe she was pregnant, but still...
They spelled BERT. Reynolds and Bacharach spell their first name Burt. Lol
yes...strange!
Jo Anne is gorgeous
Love these guys
Same !
Whoa!! Lucky Chuck Woolery!!
Jo Ann your so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️💐💐💐💐🌹🌹🌹
That’s 5 misses in a row for Richard!
Pancho Villa - Pancho Gonzales
Orange peel - banana peel
Cloud burst - cloud nine
Saint Nick - Beat nik
Charles Atlas - World atlas
How about Brianne Leary, Cute as a button as a contestant, and then next year as a panelist after she got a role on "Chips "
Wow. Cool.
Jo Ann Pflug had a minor part in the 1966 science fiction film "Cyborg 2087."
I recently found out I could watch Match game on buzzer. But like Game Show Network they seem to skip around between seasons. Last week on the 5 PM CDT they showed the episodes with Jack Cassidy. We forgot to watch yesterday. We are watching and we watched the last two games of 76 and now they are showing the first week of 77. It looks like you could watch every episode of the run on line. So why do they skip around.
I just plug in the episode number so I get the in order.
Gene’s walking kept him out of the Army but the AF took him.
Air Force?
JoAnn always made Brett's insecurities show up even when pregnant
Brett was never the pretty girl in school.
Panelists:
1. Bert Convy
2. Brett Somers
3. Charles Nelson Reilly
4. Jo Ann Phlug
5. Richard Dawson
6. Joyce Bulifant
Jerry had the aura of a used car salesman.
I love Brett's blouse! Just thought I'd mention. :-)
No
Colorful.
Yes, but I love Charles' attire, it looks so rugged. I don't think he knew how attractive he was to women. 🥰😍❤
Brett trying to cut Gene off when talking to Bert about his show
I can't believe that guy didn't choose Bert Reynolds. Geez Louise. Trying to impress the stars, I suppose.
It's Burt .Reynolds .idk how they didn't check to see how it was actually spelled .in my opinion it shouldn't of had counted 🤷😄

Gene Rayburn !!!!!
Brett; "you tell em fat kady." Wat the heck is that supposed to mean?
It looks like Joyce Bulifant really has a thing for Richard Dawson. I mean, look at 11:18-11:19, and you'll see what I mean.

I hate it because they don't try to match
Am I the only one who thinks Brett was annoying on these shows? I think the actual stars on the show were annoyed too.
A couple of us quit watching for a while for that reason. A little Brett is plenty and the amount she interjects is way too much. IMO
No there a quite a few 9f us
@@garfield2439 are you still watching?
I think she was annoying too.
Brett, the playboy club, really? I thought you were better than that. Hollywood is a little extreme and so are you all. However, you all are a lot of fun. Sometime a little full of yourselves. But, you Brett, are one of my favorites. Love you, guys and girls.
JJ --- well I guess somebody's gotta like her. There's always one
Maybe you're thinking of the Playboy Mansion? Because there were a few Playboy Clubs (I think) and celebrities of all sorts would go to the clubs. And likely the mansion as well on certain occasions I believe. Especially back then. For entertainers performing them it was just another gig to most I bet.
it is different from the playboy mansion. it was a chic club. no nudity
