- There are WAY more versions of Base Set booster packs than I ever knew, and over the past 8 months, I've been working on completing this collection. In this video, I'll show you all of the variations and the distinct features of each, and I also tell you how to enter to win one of the extra base set packs I gathered during my collection building.

If I could magically open a pack, it may be the jungle pack with scyther on it. That pack is nostalgic, that and the Blastoise base set.

As for what booster I'd like to open... it would have to be 1st edition base set. The one that started it all.
I would choose to open HeartGold SoulSilver Undaunted or Call of Legends. Those are some of my favorite sets, and I wish I could go back and buy up a ton so I could open them up later in life.
My favorite “error” type pack would be the missing logo jungle base set pack. But, if I could have one pack instantly, it would definitely be the first edition team rocket pack. I always loved the addition of dark versions of Pokémon for some reason. Anyways thanks so much for doing this!!

Even though it is not very creative, I would still love to open one of the base booster packs again. That is what I remember from my childhood :)

Doesn’t have to be 1st edition but would love to open a team Rocket pack, and maybe Japanese so my chance at a holo is better.
I’d love to open a Short Crimped Base Set “Shadowless” Booster Pack to see if the cards inside are actually shadowless or not! Imagine getting some shadowless starters or even a Pikachu when it isn’t guaranteed to be shadowless 👀

If I could choose, I’d try opening any of the Shadowless Base Set Booster Packs since I’ve heard that there are some error packs with the 1st Edition stamp on the cards inside. I’d like to pay for a Shadowless Base Set Booster Pack and get a 1st Edition Charizard… lol

First and foremost, congrats on the 50K+ subscribers Pat! If I was given the opportunity to open any booster pack it would be the 1st edition base set, hands down. Reason being is because I'm all about taking care of my things and collecting but given the fact that I was only a kid when 1st edition came out I never had the opportunity to buy any sealed booster packs.

Found my collection from my childhood recently and realized i went hard on the Team Rocket set. Would be so cool to get into one of those again. Still one of my favorite sets after all these years!

It absolutely has to be Legendary Collection, just such a sick set! Those reverse holos are insane. Also, I've always wanted to open Shiny Star V, which I know I could still easily do, but I've never gotten around to it. It's an amazing set

Definitely a Aquapolis pack! The E-reader cards are so awesome and nostalgic! I recently graded a crystal lugia and got back a PSA 9! One of my favorite sets of all time!
My favorite pack that i would love to open is a pack from the legendary collection. Those reverse holo's are sooo awesome! And there is also a chance of getting a holo wich makes it even better! But actually any vintage pack would be awesome to open (i have never opened/had a vintage pack in my life).

Only one word I can say right now is "wow" I have never know there are some different packs such as triangle and long crimp, short crimp, etc until this video! I would open a Japanese Leaders Stadium pack, I remember going to an Classic American Car Show (In England) and a stall had some of these packs on sale for £2.50 - which for a 9 year old in the year 2001 was a lot of money and I was 25p short so couldn’t purchase one! Still have qualms/flashbacks about it this day! Keep up the great work Pat!

I would totally love to open a Diamond & Pearl base booster, those where the first Pokémon cards i had as a kid, and everytime i see them on my collection i remember those times. I even learned to read with those cards.
So yeah, no doubt about it. I would love to open one and feel like myself learning to read again
I would definitely love to open the base set packs as that was when I originally got into Pokémon, and although I haven’t played or collected as much since, I’ve been wanting to get back in and I think starting at pack that is very sentimental to me is the only way to start.

Just for the vibe and the rarity probably the Shadowless packs! They seem so cool and the cards are just so clean without the shadow and the 1st edition logo!
If I could open up one pack, it would be one of the Cosmic Eclipse packs. I absolutely love this set, with many full art trainer cards (with some throwbacks to the original games with Red & Blue and Professor Oak's Setup), but also the secret rare Pokémon cards, together with their trainers. There's also some GX cards, which show Pokémon with trainers. I always loved this idea, of a set showing the interactions between Pokémon and trainers.
I grew up watching, playing and eventually opening pokemon cards. As much as I'd love to open up some old nostalgic pack from my childhood, i'm too in love with the fat pikachu boy from Vivid Voltage. One day i'll get my hands on the big boy 😍😍 (oh, and POKEREV :D)
Ex Deoxys for me. The packs are ludicrously rare and the Rayquaza gold star is one the best looking cards out there. I found my childhood cards about a half a year ago and found a couple of reverse holos from the set but don't remember opening the set back then. I would love the chance one day to finally have the memory of opening some (even if it's just one pack).
Honestly, if money was no issue something I would love to open is the Pokemon Rumble set. Loved playing those games but never saw any of the cards from the set in person. It looks like a fun little set to own and admire!

Shining legends is still one of my favourite sets to this day. Remember buying a Japanese booster box on eBay to open up with my grandmother but when it arrived it was Korean, I was gutter but still wanted to open it with her as we hadn’t opened cards together in a very long time at that point.
We had a great time, a few laughs and she still tells my cousin (who is also into collecting) that I have some great Japanese pokemon cards :)

Call of Legends seems like a really unique set, with those wicked looking reverse holo's.
I would definitely open some first edition base set packs, because my brothers got to open those packs when they first came out and I was late to the party so I never got to enjoy the packs like they did. So yeah it would be the coolest if I got to open some of those first edition packs
I would be most interested in opening any of the e-reader sets-I missed those growing up and I love the art style on so many of them.

I would love to open a pack of base set. It is by far the most iconic and would be so nostalgic to have that same feeling that I had as a kid opening cards with my family!

The next one is my favorite, pack openings are addictive lol but honestly it’s first edition gym heroes I just love the first gen and the characters from the show/game so seeing their Pokémon is awesome.

More than anything I would love to open ex Dragon Frontiers again. Those are the most nostalgic to me. I was hunting for either of the two gold stars. My parents did not let me buy more than 1 pack every once in a while so my pull rate wasn't the best at the time, but still very grateful for those times
out of any pack in the world, i'd love to open up skyridge. I never got to even though i was in love with pokemon at the time, and now theyre just so much money! They're probably forever out of reach and it's a bit sad. Amazing video!

1st ed Neo Destiny for sureeee. The Light Arcanine and other Dark cards are just too appealing.
My favorite pack are Ex series packs specifically Ex Deoxys and Ex Delta species. I used to open them as a kid and I love that every pack had a hit with those stamped revese holos

I'd love to open one of the Neo Discovery packs in English - back when I was a kid, my mum had a Japenese friend that would sometimes bring back some Japanese Pokemon packs to England before the English sets were out and so I was running around with a Holo Houndoom and Hitmintop but had absolutely no idea what their names were at the time because I couldn't read Japanese!
Opening a pack like that again, in English, would certainly bring back the nostalgia of it all.
Ive definitely seen most of these but only cause I was 12 when the cards came out. I feel like a lot of people into the hobby now werent even born when they came out, and thats ok! But dang, this takes me back. I miss going to Dollar Tree and buying base set packs with my mom growing up. Good times.
Call of Legends would be my favorite pack I'd want to open, that set came out when I had just got out of card collecting, and the cards just look so cool.
I would love to open a Secret Wonders booster pack because I started playing Pokemon as a kid when gen 4 was released. Also my favorite Pokemon is Honchkrow and I love Lv.X Cards but unfortunately i missed this set as a child and started collecting later.
