Just picked up a 08 grizzly 450 like this 2800 usd. Glad to see the parts are cheap and east to replace. Only thing I had to do so far was the starter relay other than that she's golden
I own a 2005 and it is immaculate. Only 400 original miles on it. Kept in a garage it's whole life. Only used it for hunting trips. Just gave it to my 13 year old son as a gift this week and he loves it. Going to buy a 2021 Kodiak 700 EPS, so we can spend some father son time. Glad I bought this years ago and it has been trouble free. It is why I am buying another Yamaha ATV.
You can’t kill these things, I’ve tried. Had one as a land surveyor for 3 years in Wyoming. Fires right up whether it’s 100 degrees or -30 and runs all day long, every time. It was already a used ranch rig before I even got my hands on it. They are tanks.
Great video very informative I’m restoring a 1989 Kawasaki bayou 300 4x4 I’ll 300 c on the seats missing foam you can use spray foam when it dries you can form it to take up the gap it works great
Hi guy from the UK, I just picked up a Kodiak 400 which is basically the same. They hold a high value here in Canada too. I got mine for under 2k Canadian but it needed a lot of work. I plan to sell it for about 4000 when I'm done. Or I'll sell my 700, I like them both the same.
I've bought two used Yamaha 450 Wolverine 4x4 2007's. (Think it's the same engine as the Kodiaks) Had them for almost 2 years. One had 1700 Miles. The other had 2100 Miles. Paid $2,400 for one with a plow and Winch. And the other was $2,600. They've both been great machines. Heavy front end for climbing well. And good engine compression for downhills without riding the breaks too hard.
@@carlosarroliga5958 local site like Craigslist. I guess if you are willing to travel to Midwest you can look up stuff to buy as well. Great vid 👍 and Iv subscribed. Iv got one that burns a little oil but doesn’t smoke or smell as though it is and if you work it or ride it hard will over heat. The fans cut in as they should, riding quietly around a farm it will go all day without any trouble (maybe a little noisy top end) but I’d put that down to valve clearances needing doing? I’m a car mechanic by trade, but never had much to do with bikes or quads, is there much to watch out for if I was to strip it to have a look? Is the timing difficult to do? Appreciate any help.
Hi I’m setting up a quad tour business, was wondering if you can advise on best bike to purchase 2nd had to start for a mixture of of on off road, and best place to look to purchase
350 is very different in almost every way smaller frame to. I personally don't like the 350. 660 is ok lots of electrical faults and not that powerful for the size but it's ok
@@jeremeywright If you don't rejet the carburetor to compensate for the added airflow of the aftermarket exhaust the engine will likely run "lean", too much air, not enough fuel. Symptoms of a lean condition are backfires on deceleration, hesitation or bogging when quickly cracking open the throttle (especially off of idle) etc.. Definitely plan to rejet if you're adding a pipe and/or modifying the air intake. Otherwise you're better off leaving it stock.
Good day. My Grizzlyś starter does not turn the engin, and if i pull the pull start it sounds like the starter motor turn aswell. Do you have advise or a video clip on this? Thanks
One of these will be much better. Fully auto so easier to ride. The electric shift likes to break them Honda's and have a nasty habit of of having failed valve seats once they get a bit of age to them. Honda reliability is overrated nowerdays. There not worth the premium. Unless your looking for an older cheaper bike in which case go for a foremean 450 manual shift as they literally last forever. I've got a video of one
This guy is British. Europeans don’t know anything about the outdoors or ATV’s or camping or bushcraft or hunting etc. Sorry! That’s just a fact. Their country does not have the kind of wilderness or wildlife or harsh elements that Canada does or the USA has. Maybe I am being ignorant but I have spent a lot of time in my life in the middle of nowhere in northern British Columbia (ironic -BRITISH Colombia) and I saw a lot in my years working n the boreal forests, hundreds of kilometres from literally nowhere. Not saying this guy doesn’t have something of value to say on this ATV but asking a Brit about the best ATV is like asking a farmer from Saskatchewan his opinion on the best route from Greenwich park to Potters Bar.

Great quad i have 08 one with just shy of 7000hrs and 29690 miles. The engine has never been taken apart . Mi
These things can go anywhere!!! Nothing beats the Grizzly 💪
Another great video. Thanks.
The China carb is JUNK. but I used it for parts, ie seals, one jet, and fuel dam. Runs like a champ.

My battery keeps drainning... any ideas what could cause it. Great video
Do you know anything about loose head tapeds on a grizzly 660
I have one on an 09, 450 odd hours 4000 odd miles and just noticed oil getting into the air box, is there a quick fix?

If you could pick one which one would it be. Suzuki quad king 400 , Honda rancher 420 , kymco 450i new , Yamaha grizzly 550
Never by a kymco. I'd have a 20 year old Japanese quad over one of those
An idiots opinion kymco makes quad for Kawasaki like brute force 300 50 and 90
Yeah and some low end Arctic cats and there crap
Great bike, I have an 11 plate griz 450 eps on an agri registration
i have a 05 Kodiak 450 looks exactly the same
Thanks

There incredibly easy to strip barrel comes off to change rings. I can strip one and put it back together in under a day
thank you!

Which dealership did u get your Yamaha grizzly 450 quad bike from
Hey question. Not sure my fan is working. What’s the easiest way to test? Never runs hot, fan never comes on.
What type of fuel delivery from tank to carburetor?
My 450 grizzly is spluttering above 20mph in 2wd. Any ideas?
Also a really rusted vin, like 4 numbers left any ideas how to trace
Unfortunately if there gone like that there gone for good.
What's your opinion on a 1990's Honda trx300?
Fine, but over rated and over priced most of the time
Good running fourwheeler
What year bike is this
Hi do I you still use these type of atv
I drive glizzly for just fun. Very tough 4 wheeler .
Is this bike for sale and what's the price
What about the grizzly 400? Should I hold out for a 450?
Same engine just bored out by 20cc makes little difference
@907sb we have both the grizzly 400 and 450
Both amazing
@@outdoorgorilla1493 How does a 400 Kodiak compare to it? What are the major differences?
I have a 2011 4x2, the light doesnt come on when its in 4x4, I changed the bulb but nothing, the quad does drive ok etc
Push sensor in diff

I'm gonna do an oil change on my a grizzly for 50 do I have to take off the 2nd nut after the oil nut
I meant to say I'm gonna do an oil change on my grizzly for 450
Whats the mame if the ebay seller?
Is it the best, when so many larger displacement engines are available?
I have a 2014 grizzly 450. If I add a slip on exhaust do I need to jet the carb?
No, but you won't get any extra power if you don't
Is there a jet kit that u recommend to go with the slip on its a big gun eco slip on i’m
Putting on.
There loads of different ones. I don't mess with them as there a pain to set up right for the tiny amount of power you gain.
An idiots opinion so if I don’t jet it I should be ok then? It should run the same just sound better basically?
