Stainless steel lock nuts were too expensive?

      Stainless makes aluminum corroed faster

Well since you took out the mount locking tabs, might as well drill a bigger hole on the stud eyelet and stick a rod to lock it from spinning off.

A nice video, but I did not see the tilt trim assembly be installed which was the very most important.

Looks like i have the same unit to install and directions mention nothing about the height you put yours flush at the front isnt that going to raise your motor much to high and it wont run right. Watching the end of your video, the motor looks a lot higher than the transom how did the motor work like that?

Is your motor a long shaft? I have a short shaft transom and motor and am wondering if this acts as a Jack plate or can I continue to run the short shaft with this unit

I like the trim but as far as performance not much advantage as far as I can tell.

Not trying to be an ass but if you ever hit anything the engine won't pop up now because of the way you locked it in with that piece. Just be careful about that...

That seems to be a southern'r issue. Us Yankee's dont hit stuff with our power trim cuz we trim up in shallow water.

How much was that tilt and trim plate

Nice but overkill for a 15 hp. And the thru transom bolt holes should be filled with sealer just saying
