I came back to blading after 15 years. We need more Channels like yours, just to make Inline Skating (Rollerblaing?!?) more popular. It doesn't matter if you are a pro or a beginner, as long as you make good content for people who are interested in this sport. I also thought about making my own Channel, we will see xD Keep on the good work. Greetings from Germany ;)
Thanks for watching! I love making videos, and comments from people who enjoy watching is the best feeling. I agree, more videos would be better. Let me know when your channel is up, I'll be your first sub!
Yea man I just bought a pair of blades. last time I skated I was 15 and X-games was on espn. I kinda noticed most of the videos on youtube are from the ahem* slightly older young people. Love to see it though, we coming full circle.
just ordered a new set of skates for the first time in 20 years. It's been about 15 since I last skated but as I get older and more frumpy, I needed to be out and more active. I just would like to say thank you, because your channel was the motivation point to try and pick this back up. I went to try on my old USD Thrones and nearly broke my foot trying fit into the glass slipper, so today was a good $300 well spent lol
Amen bro! Absolutely agree. This was very helpful and motivational and I appreciate it. Keep up the great work man! You got me back into skating. I got the razors sl navy's bc of you. Thank you!! I love them!
I’m also excited to see the tutorials. I watch a lot of the more experienced bladers here in Toronto and I make sure to mentally jot down what I like and what’s useful and see if I can use these tips in my own. I would like to be able to do the same with your tutorials. As for slipping out, although I have yet to land a royale, I only have ever slipped out with me sitting down or me on my side in my Valo. I guess it’s a solid groove if many agree on such a thing.
I think Valo were pretty solid for royales. Something about the soul plate made them very easy. I have the same feeling in these Them, with a little less bending required.
Funny about the shorts. I would NEVER skate in them in my glory days. Now I skate almost exclusively in shorts I've also never rolled flat. Anti rocket or freestyle
My friend, would be awesome you test and compare two different skates on the same day on same ledge and same tricks... I think videos with battles very successful to guide who is coming back skating to buy the ideal product according personal style based on your evaluation... I'm really curious to see a battle of Them Skates 908 with 50/50 Balance Vs USD Aeon 60 ....
I think it's going to be fun. Definitely need to set expectations, you know what I'm capable of. But I think if I can help teach foundational skills, anyone can learn something.
Back to Blading I'm only learning the basics so will be perfect for me and your at a good level lots to pass on to be people enjoying aggressive skating :)
Great video! Also interested if the oysi frames solve some of the "snags" you hit with the flat setup. I've never gone anti...may need to, I can't royale
Is it easier to learn inline skating fundamentals in flat or anti-rocker? I've been learning to skate on anti-rocker but I feel like flat would be more forgiving with learning how to carve, am I wrong?
I haven’t given up on my Konjures. Tried them on my 908s and they stuck on royales. I feel like they should be a round profile instead of flat. With a round or bullet profile, you would get less wheel bite. I also think that for standard frames that aren’t directly designed to ride flat, 58mm are just a little too big. They’re kind of in a weird middle ground where they’re almost too big for flat on standard frames, and too hard to ride antirocker. I’ve tried them on Youth and Create Originals so far. Both frames were previously skated anti at parks only so they weren’t really ground down. That being said, having them on new frames from the get go is ideal
Back to Blading 56s would be nice, and they wouldn’t have to be round profiles. Of course there are frames dedicated for riding flat, but I think that even with those specialty frames, these don’t quite fit. The only current frames that these wheels might be ideal for are probably Slimline 2s or Kaltiks, unless I’m missing something.
The only downside to two wheels is they will wear out faster since you have only two wheels and also less stability so don't go fast downhill on two wheels. It may not be pretty.
How do i fall when i fail my grinds, i want to get into grinds but every time i fail when trying a grind hurts a lot i keep getting big bruises and injuries.
I try to stay low, and roll off to my hip or butt depending on what I'm doing. I also highly recommend the G-Form Knee/Shin guards, or at least something on your knees and shins. I fall a lot, but I seldom get hurt.
I know year off.. but I always felt the same. Tried antirockers and can't do flat if that's the four wheel with groove. I do a lot of street as our park is only three ramps in a row and just way to small for the seven or so skateboarders alone to offer space for more people. Always felt if it wasn't for freestyle frames I wouldn't be able to grind the concrete ledges and brick that I am able to with freestyle. Maybe a loss of speed is the biggest issue.
Yo so I've been thinking in getting into aggressive skating but I can't decide on what I want :( anti-rocker or flats. Which skates would you recommend a size 12 beginner like me?
Well I got the usd sways and now I have a broken leg 😂 broke both the tibia and perone. Was making hella fast progress but i went to hard v: Can't wait to get back on it.
@@dubstepicninja3603 oh damn lol. I hope you get healed up quick and get back to skating 🙏🏽 sways might be my next pair since I went with 72mm Aeons and the wheels are a little big for certain grinds
tough one for me. i come from and started flat and had to learn anti when it became popular so flat has its place in my heart lol but for grinding imo i do think anti is better, flat is so much faster. going flat to anti imo is easier then anti to flat. many people i know who always have skated anti hate and are terrible with a flat setup.

Sweet! Welcome back. Any day skating is a great day.
Back from a 20 year break 😅 I’m 41 and I’m having lots of issues going back to grinds, your channel helps
Your royale part is the story of my life rn. Im all in for the beginners tutorials!
Yep. If you search my channel for "royale" you'll find a recurring theme. It's always a battle.
That back farv at 9:03! Pulled that outta nowhere! Great vid Law!
Thanks man! Love the Juice Blocks for grinds. Torque tricks are so much fun with them.
Holy shit right!?!?! So much steez
brett favre > back farv

So I'm in the process of building some boots after a break. I have to say I love watching your videos.
Gratidão por tamanha generosidade! Sou iniciante no agressive e estou amando teus tutoriais..... Love from Brasil.... 🇧🇷👏👏👏👏
Wear knee pads with shorts my dude! I always skate in shorts, the knee pads will give you the confidence to do what you want
Ya I wear shin pads with my shorts . I never wore shorts skating as a kid but as an adult in ALWAYS skating in shorts
I just recently invested in some expensive ones not because they offer more protection but because I feel more confident
why shorts ?

My favorite video to date. 👌🏼
Thanks man! Much love.

I love this idea! When I have a little more time I'll definitely do something. Thanks.
Great video looking forward to the tutorials !!

Thanks for the encouragement!
Great video! Also interested if the oysi frames solve some of the "snags" you hit with the flat setup. I've never gone anti...may need to, I can't royale
Agreed! Soon as I get them back i'll give them a try.
I think after trying all setups round or bullet are best for all round skating with antirocker setup for easy grinding
Is it easier to learn inline skating fundamentals in flat or anti-rocker? I've been learning to skate on anti-rocker but I feel like flat would be more forgiving with learning how to carve, am I wrong?
Yeah, learn to skate/roll with flat
Then learn to grind and if you are struggling, try anti rocker
Flat is best for sure! Getting good with the fundamentals before grinding will make it much easier to learn
Definitely switch to a flat setup. You have no idea how different it is having 4 on the ground instead of two. You'll get much better much sooner
It's harder to steer with 2 wheels! 4 wheels flat will be better for vert and bowls...you need that quick precision steering.
I can ice skate and moving onto inline. Can I start on aggressive inline with 4 flat wheels to do some jumps and basic skating.
Absolutely! I’d start skating flat, 4 wheels each skate. That will help with your transition. Please wear pads!
I haven’t given up on my Konjures. Tried them on my 908s and they stuck on royales. I feel like they should be a round profile instead of flat. With a round or bullet profile, you would get less wheel bite.

I agree, I think the profile has a lot to do with it. I'm really interested in some 56s. Probably best of both worlds.
Yep, I think you're right. Will update when I get a set for testing!
Can you fell the different big wheels and small wheels
Absolutely! But I can’t tell the difference between 60 and 58. I’m really curious what 56 or 55 feels like.
Hey what kind of knee protectors you have in this video ?
Can u skate with 2 wheels without antirockers?
Sure!
The only downside to two wheels is they will wear out faster since you have only two wheels and also less stability so don't go fast downhill on two wheels. It may not be pretty.
Have you every tried street spots on aggressive skates?
For sure! It’s rare though. Street spots are typically at schools, and a 41 year old man on rollerblades at a school is a weird situation.
Back to Blading hahaha ya that’s true
How do i fall when i fail my grinds, i want to get into grinds but every time i fail when trying a grind hurts a lot i keep getting big bruises and injuries.

Sorry, that your stream kinda died. Always enjoy them. Have fun skating, my friend.
Ugh, someday I'll figure out how to make it last the whole session. The signal at this park is not great. Thanks for watching!
How do you fix the wheelbite issue fro flats? I just got k2 front streets and they are the first flat setup I have ever ridden
I haven't skated the front streets yet, I have a pair to test though. Best way to avoid wheel bite is to get really los on groove tricks.
Back to Blading pardon my lack of knowledge but what does Los mean?
@@maddieford345 He probably meant "loose" as in not stiff
He meant Low. Get low on groove tricks.
I currently ride a flat setup and thinking of getting some freestyle frames any thoughts?
What do you like about the idea of freestyle vs flat or antirocker?
Back to Blading I just like the idea of more room to grind so I can grind bigger rails and ledges without worrying too much about wheel bite
Tried Oysi frames on Themskates yet?
Not yet! Waiting to get them back from Ben.
Yo so I've been thinking in getting into aggressive skating but I can't decide on what I want :( anti-rocker or flats. Which skates would you recommend a size 12 beginner like me?
Go with USD aeon 60s. Amazing flat setup with huge h block .
I'm pretty new to skating myself but I vote Aeons too or USD Sways
Well I got the usd sways and now I have a broken leg 😂 broke both the tibia and perone. Was making hella fast progress but i went to hard v: Can't wait to get back on it.
@@dubstepicninja3603 oh damn lol. I hope you get healed up quick and get back to skating 🙏🏽 sways might be my next pair since I went with 72mm Aeons and the wheels are a little big for certain grinds
I wouldn’t recommend aeons anymore.. soul plates are so dang sticky. They’re perfect other then that you gotta wax everything and go fast to slide.
I think I just noticed your right foot soul left foot royale. I would hate playing b.l.a.d.e. With you in Royale. I can't drop on my left foot.
Is that my white shirt I asked for?
Picked them up on Friday!
Yeah good 👋

Agreed! I prefer flat for skating, but antirocker is super forgiving for grinds. I don’t have the patience anymore for wheel bite
You just need to get used to skating flat.
Bro shave your head! it's over!
Not to be mean but you bored me to death
Thanks for sticking with it
