'TERRI!' has saved my career! I'm a nurse in the UK.... Crappy shift??... I go around screeching 'TERRI' in those not so great spots. Instant stress relief! Thanks guys!👍
@@leolumley7406 you never know where the edge is until you've tumbled over it into the void. Better to define it as best you can whilst gravity is still on your side!
Love this group. I was feeling under the weather when I started this ep, and I legit feel better after listening and having a few laughs. Thanks everyone!
THANK YOU for the Andy Reid love. If there was ever a year to give him this award, it's this one. I love KOC and he has a strong case, but what Reid has done is pinnacle coaching. No one has as much pressure on them. Dealing with injuries, fame, ups and downs, roster and locker room management, trust in his staff and still being 15-wins on the best possible road to threepeat? This kind of catching has never been done.
I hope they do highlight the road to Week 18 this season- people forget that the Vikings had a rookie *die* this preseason. Take a look at how KOC and the Vikings handled that- it’s amazing. That event could’ve caused a spiral in the locker room, and KOC found a way to support his team through it, support Khyree’s family AND honor Khyree throughout the season.
Love the Andy Reid discussion, and how absurd (and ultimately stupid) the Coach of the Year award has become. The one thing people always tend to miss, though, is that the Chiefs went 2-14 the year before Reid arrived. They fired the GM, fired the Head Coach, the organization was in total disarray!! Then Andy shows up, immediately goes 11-5 (in 2013) and has yet to EVER have a losing season since! Yet somehow Ron Rivera won the award for taking a team HE LED to a 7-9 record in 2012 and improving them to 12-4 in 2013. Taking an ABYSMAL team from 2-14 to 11-5 vs. taking your own mediocre team from 7-9 to 12-4, and somehow the latter wins? Make it make sense. Or how about in 2015, when the Chiefs started 1-5 and then went on to win 11 games in a row including a playoff game? They were the first team since 1970 to start 1-5 and qualify for the playoffs, but nope! That year COY went to...Ron Rivera AGAIN hahahaha. Granted he DID lead the Panthers to a 15-1 record, which as I type this is LITERALLY the record of the 2024 Chiefs team. And Andy isn't even in the conversation. The award is utterly meaningless.
Its almost become an award for 'Comeback Franchise of the Year' tbh. In theory handicapping coaches who had more to do is fair but in the search for narrative this assumes an importance way beyond wins. And coaches like Reid who should have been handicapped in a similar way to a coach like Stefanski due to squad deficiencies beyond his control receives no credit because his team was good last year so doesn't fit the 'comeback franchise' narrative that makes the award sexier.
@@wtdj6107Right, but that's why I brought up the 2013 and 2015 Chiefs. In both of those years, Andy did precisely what we're now saying HAS to be done to get COY--turned an atrociously bad organization into a playoff team, then started 1-5 before leading a remarkable turnaround and winning a playoff game. But even in THOSE years, Reid was still an afterthought 😂
I remember when Dan had picture on his wall - Vs album by PearlJam, and now when I saw Jourdan background and beautiful Vitalogy... I mean , speecless... \o/ Greetings from the banks of Danube, Serbia
Ain't no way we're not having the gravy boat next season! It has to come back, just as the Thanksgiving Table and a new 'Nick Sirriani is the guy who' episode 😂
1:22:30 Won't somebody think of the poor billionaires? Why won't the mean city pay for their new stadium? Please. Public dollars should mean public ownership, we already subsidize the mega rich enough without paying for their hobbies as well.
Bad take by graver lmao, the city should be under no obligation to pay the bill for the stadium of a team. These are billion dollar money makers. Bud Adams is not the hero in this story
Vikings are the best story this year. KOC was unceremoniously cut by the Jets 10 years ago. Now he's taken Sam Darnold from a bust with the Jets to 14-2 with the Vikings. Skol!
As a Bengals fan I already know that the Broncos and Dolphins are going to lose but it won't matter cause we'll get beat in heartbreaking fashion by the Steelers which is our way.
I hope Justin is still rooting for the chiefs despite the Hopkins trade only netting a 5th now due to Hopkins not being able to reach 60% of playing time
Please don't get rid of the gravy boat!!! but if you do please replace it with some other snippet of justin screaming viscerally. It was so funny hearing it the first time over audio and really not having any warning.
Graver's love for Jessica isn't blind because she seems great. But his love for the Titans is sometimes cultishly blind. Of course wearing the Oilers uniforms against the Texans is a petty and crappy thing to do. May all Titans QBs be a Levis until the end of this buffoonery!
Real reason Ravens D got better is because they moved Hamilton back to safety. Also agree with the Burrow glaze fest comments. Yeah he's great and all but the games actually matter and some of us NFL fans what teams in the playoffs who actually have the best records. Playoff teams should not be wish fulfillment based on one side of the ball. Bengals D is still bad and has not played anyone decent since that last Ravens game. They gave up what like 28 to the Broncos?
The Lions and Vikings are the envy of football according to Dan. Win a trophy (NFC or Super Bowl) and we can maybe start that discussion. Until then, lets tone down the rhetoric.

I wish i loved anything as much as Jourdan loves being on HTC. Thanks legends
I really feel like she's the conduit for all of us on the pod lol
Maybe as much as Justin loves being on THC.
Her enthusiasm is infectious. Just what you need in a week 18 packed with meaningless games
@@smijam361 I love how she's sn unabashed football nerd too. I always felt heard when she starts getting into the schematic weeds lol.
The 'Saints groan' is fast becoming my favourite drop
Can’t beat "I love Sting" and "What, you got a sex addiction??" imo😂
gravedigger kills it with the drops. you're not doing it right if you're not mildly annoying at least one host per episode
Totally agree, if anything there should be even more drops
Some days he annoys me, but other days I love it. You described it perfectly

The drops are what makes this show
Justin has been an asset to us man
Heedonists - Probably the best collective name for a fan group I've seen! No-one heeds as much as Jourdan!
Dan and Jourdan's reaction to hearing G-Reg with the Third Leg is one of the greatest things I've ever heard/seen on a podcast lol

Goat nfl podcast. I say it every week. Beats atn too
Show in studio > show on zoom
The “Lose Song” moment is incredible 😂 The chemistry y’all have developed is beautiful
Absolutely love Jourdan on these preview podcast eps - so passionate about football and sports journalism 👏
Justin is low key hilarious.
I thought that song was playing on my phone or something I had to pause the pod lol
42:28 "...Carson Wentz, of all people, you know, thrown out of a moving car a year ago..." 🤣🤣🤣

Proud Heedonist from episode 1! Great episode, heroes.

Justin pushing back at Dan and Mark gor their Oilers take is what I'm here for 🎉🎉 Gracedigger 👏👏
Heedonists baby!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for the season! Roll on the Playoffs!
Go Jourdan! Such great football takes (preach on Saquon!), along with another LOTR ref and Vitalogy in the background. RESPECT.

No one pointing out Jourdan's Monty Python reference is sacrilege
Another award winning show! Props to Jordan's Monty Python reference!

"Some people have negative takes on OJ" lmaooo

"G Reg with the Third Leg" Google searches getting a bump after this! 😂
Gravedigger - please always play the song 30 secs too long. It’s what I need.……Justin has been an asset to us, man.
Jourdans ugly laugh is so beautiful to me😊

Grond! Grond! Grond!
