How’d you say this stacks up to Betrayal at House on the Hill in terms of atmosphere and replayability? I absolutely LOVE Betrayal and the Twist mechanic.

Just keep in mind this game is VERY different than Betrayal. I think night cage gives off way better atmosphere then betrayal, but betrayal will always win in replayability due to it having those 50 scenarios that are all different. That doesn’t mean I don’t replay NC, but Betrayal had the “well what will we find next” thing going for it. Night Cage’s art style and feeling of being lost from beginning to end is super thematic and, at least I think, immerses me more into the game.

Nice overview. I was tempted to back it on Kickstarter but postage costs to UK was a bit much.

Shipping costs are outrageous now a days. You’d think that things would have gotten better, but I feel like it’s all just getting worst and worst and more expensive.

Absolutely it is nuts. The last one I backed was Terrorscape which had high shipping costs but the difference with that one is that it won't be at retail (unless they lied!) so convinced myself to stump up the costs for it

I like the Night Cage, but the game just went from hard to impossible to win lol

lol yeah, this expansion adds a HUGE difficulty spike, in addition to all the other monsters you can use. Still love playing it though, makes those wins feel even more satisfying 😁
