First off, Gameleap, I love your content. It's been consistently high level while valuably education simultaneously, which has hopefully helped many players. However, having played a solid amount of genji myself, I didn't feel this was a very good guide, especially due to the high standard your content is usually at. This video felt more like a player showing off a few clips of his, while many essential/fundamental aspects of a good blade were not addressed. Of course, I'm just one player, so hopefully other players see more value in this guide than I did.
I have 140+ hours into Genji. It’s unfortunate you found the guide as not that good when it is indeed a good guide. It’s entirely irrelevant when you reach a certain point with a character to check out a guide, yeah. Yet for new comers it’s essential with an abundance of tips and tricks new players can grow from.
Ok I normally love gameleap but this is just a guy narrating his platinum genji plays. Very misleading title with lots of mistakes and ill explained techniques. Try watching agilities genji guide instead. Things that would have made this guide better 1. Any talk whatsoever about positioning (other than part of video where he hides from emp) 2. In depth animation cancel techniques and dash combos 3. For the love of god save ur dash kid. Talk about why - Moira fade, lucio boop, mercy fly, Orisa halt and soooo much other movement/cc abilities I have to consider when u blade in 2019 4. Talk about farming blade and combos to look for and things to consider lamp/trans/beat. U did this a little bit when talking about emp 5. There is a lot more I can say but long story short this didn’t feel like a guide at all I’m not insane at genji but I’ve hit masters and I understand a lot of the basics enough to win games against t500 players that have queued my games. I know that u have more qualified ppl over there at game leap, (I’ve learned a lot from shifty myself) but this isn’t high level genji play and he isn’t explaining basic techniques very well or at all even.
Hey I would like the appologize, I do think some of these tips are lacking and I'll try and work harder to make things clearer and more helpful in the future.
6:55 you could have climbed a wall to cancel the deflect and the hanzo wouldn't have gotten a rez and you could have went for Zenyatta after that instead
I self taught myself with genji and my very good genji friend said: "Dang dude you're amazing at Genji bro". I saw some mistakes at 6:57 through 7:20 . You should've not deflected and just melee'd the mercy so the Hanzo wouldn't have been rez'd, and if the Zen was still alive you could've dashed out of the room because your dash was reset and could've secondary fired the Zen and then dashed ( if your teamates were good they would've hurt the Zen a little bit ) which would've killed both healers and secured your victory.
So I’m hoping this gets better, in the first 3 minutes of this video I’m sick to my stomach cause I’ve watched this genji burn his dash immediately after pressing q every time. Granted he has gotten kills but I feel like this is a fundamental that is being ignored. Correct me if I’m wrong?
Mason Hardin look at overwatch ligue... every genji dashes after pressing q... dont know what you are talking ? Do you wanne walk with your blade into the fight ? Lol
@@GamingVasta I wasn't very impressed with this guide either. Preemptive cooldown tracking, target prioritization, how teammates can assist the blade besides the raw nano, etc ignored while a clip of him simply dashing through a hog before wasting a self-admitted unnecessary blade made the cut...
I get what he means when he brakes up what to do but in that scenario I'll end up fucking it up by panicing or when I blade somehow the enemy team can run as fast as usain bolt away from me
Try not to make it a habit of dashing up for nano unless your ana isn't on voice, spamming ult level and dashing up is usually enough to make the ana nano you but also it's hella predictable, very very easy for the enemy ana to put you to sleep since you're likely to dash into a clumped up team. Either predict his dash and pre-fire dart/ most genjis dash to the ana when they're nano blading, bait out or wait for her sleep dart to be on cooldown before you dive or try to play the mind games and deflect her sleep dart, that requires really good timing tho.
Great Genji guide of course but are you in quickplay by chance or are their McCree's just braindead because McCree usually shits on Genji just by flashing down at his own feet and having the blast radius of a nuclear explosion that hits Genji before he gets right-clicked down into the ground. How do you deal with McCree's? Usually (in GM at least) they can all predict you and flash above your deflect or at the ground and hit you easily. Do you just have to read their skill level or can you bait them using some different strats?
Stopped watching after 1:22 You dash blindly and on lower ground with no view or perspective. You manage to kill Sombra and then you completely avoid the Mercy on front of you. Instead, you focus the nanoed player who is also being healed by Mercy! Yeap, not much to learn after seeing that sry
Is this really a guide of mistakes and bad blades? Lots of poor choices and excuses man. Everyone messes up but these are not good examples of what to go for in gameplay.
Good knews, i have all of these skills mastered Bad news, i'm still high plat and can't carey with my bad teams Ps:i'm a console genji player and have 150 hours on him
@@petersalem2534 i cant build a nano blade every 30 sec for a fight bro The best i can do is have my blade every 40sec/50sec then wait for the ana to charge the nano +if i'm playing against lucio or zen i cant just nano blade that easy and get 3,4 or 5 oicks with the nano blade
This guide doesnt give tips on how to play genji into bunker comp. If you really want some good genji content I would watch water gameplay or look at some of Jonal Gaming's genji videos.
Thanks for this I love your content❤️ I’m using this to counter genii so I know what they will do at high ranks, I play on Xbox Thanks! Look at my name :P

Yes! An updated gengu guide.. been looking for this ty a lot.

my only problem whenever i play genji and use his ultimate, i lose the oversight and the overview...when using genjis ult...

When you deflected during the mercy rez you could of wall climbed to end the deflect and quickly confirm the kill

GACHI heckin intro
to summarize this: play agressive as heck if your mechanics are good enough

I don’t think he was confident in killing the flying Mercy
Why am I watching a plat narrate his gameplay?
Use code "Snipzy" for 25% off
*tries to deflect a mercy res*
