So if you want to maximize your time training your kaiju's stats, you will be using a lot of it and the cacao item to manage both Anger and Fatigue so you can get more drills in before needing to use up a week to rest. You can only use one item per week. If a kaiju hates a food item, it gives them a mood penalty whenever you use it which in turns can affect their loyalty and Anger meter, making it harder to optimally train their stats. Given that kaiju on average have 4 years before having to retire, and some of the unlock requirements for better kaiju are very specific, you will want to maximize the usage of each in-game week if you want to unlock stuff and reach S rank for your kaiju.
