I've been wanting to film the Kuzey for some time as they're sort of the dark horse Turkish rifle in the UK at the moment and I really wanted to see what they're capable of, and I'm very glad I did to say the least!
A massive thank you to Range Right for allowing us to review this rifle, for more information contact us at bigdansairguns.co.uk.

I bought that rifle in caliber 22, I have had it for 1 year and I must say that it is spectacular, very precise and powerful. With jsb pellets 18.13grains it reaches 900fps. Greetings from La Serena, Chile.

Marksman pointed pellets are a real oddball. I know them as 'fairground' pellets. They were all I could afford in my long ago youth in my Relum Telly and to be fair it was all the local hardware store stocked. Shooters today don't have the slightest idea today of just how spoiled they are for pellet choice.

The best place for a safety is anywhere that's not near the trigger (eg BSA clx's, Walther LGU) but if you must have it within the trigger guard, it is better IMHO to have a cross bolt like the Kuzey than a paddle which requires your finger moving towards the trigger in order to make the gun safe.

Great review Dan, I have been waiting for you to review the K600. I went and bought one back in January without having any reviews to refer to as I don't speak Afrikans, Russian or Turkish! I really like my Kuzey K600, it is on a par with the Reximex Pretensis, they are very similar in looks, the Pretensis is lighter . I wish the Kuzey was regulated, I am hoping as they catch on that Lane or whomever sort out a reg. I shoot my Pretensis more as it has a higher fill pressure so more shots. The only gripe I have with the Kuzey is that every now and again you will get some resistance as you push the cocking lever forward and you can guarantee that it will be a flyer, I find in .22 the JSB Exact Diablo heavy 18 grain are best but the 16 grain work well as well, I found it a bit pellet fussy but my Pretensis isn't. It is a great rifle for the money, I really like my Turkish walnut stock traditional rifles

They're a lovely rifle aren't they? Just out of interest try a Reximex mag in that Kuzey and see how she groups. I find the Kuzey mags are a bit fiddly and I've spoken to RR who've said that Kuzey are looking into it.

    Hello Dan,
I was fitting a regulator to a friends Kral Empire X last week and the fact that Kral seem to be the only one to put oversized fill ports on their rifles really is irritating. I decided to buy a new one and fitted it in my pillar drill, like a drill bit. I then switched the drill on and using a metal file took it down to fit our standard fitting fill whips. It is a good work around. I didn't use his original fill port because it wasn't my gun to test it with, but for about £8 for the new one it certainly is easy enough job to bring it down to the standard fitting that we are all used to. The Kuzey brand look quite nice rifles. You should see if you can get their unusual underlever version to test next. I have the Reximex Regime. I have just fit a regulator to that and for me I think the Reximex Brand is a more upmarket Kral. I will have to contact Range Right to see if I can review some of their air-guns, although not being an RFD, I am not sure if that would be possible. I have considered applying for a media RFD license like And from AAR, which would help a lot.
Love your videos. They are always good to watch. I can understand it must be hard to find the time to film, having a business to run. At least I am retired now, and do it as a hobby around looking after the Grand Daughters.
    Best Wishes

      Hi Stephen!
The Turkish rifles in general these days are usually superb. What I love is that they'd always listen to feedback and they improve rifles as they go until they're cracking things. This is why I emphasized the trigger and the filling probe as hopefully someone will listen.
The build on these new rifles is amazing. The metalwork is genuinely 10/10 and you could sit it beside any AAA rifle and not only would it match them at range but also beat some of them in build quality.

Yep, I bought a .22 Kuzey 900K but sadly it also seems to suffer from that really annoying 'in your ear' clang when the hammer strikes the air release valve which also is to the annoyance those seated close to you who also hear it. This clang only appears to be prevalent to rifles based on Turkish actions. Do all of the different manufacturers all use the same action but only slightly differ the looks and add different names? It appears so. Can they not reduce this somehow because it is making me think twice as hard before I buy any more Turkish air rifles.

Hiya bud iv got a few questions on this rifle what fill pressure did you fill upto cos iv just been just been reading some spec's about it and they say 210 shots on a 300 bar fill which I thought was quite high and the weight 3.75kg which I thought a tad hefty and is there anyone you know of in the UK that is willing to do tuning work on the Turkish stable of rifles cos there's afew that are taking my eye now and are you going to do a review of the K300 I'd be really interested in a review on that, anyway keep up the great work pal your reviews are always really good

    • @bigdansairguns83
      @bigdansairguns83  Год назад +1

      Hi Alex!
210 shots per fill is a bit extreme as is 300bar, our UK spec rifles have a max fill off memory of 200bar. For the K600 around 80 full power shots per fill is to be expected.
For Turkish airgun tuning contact us at bigdansairguns.co.uk and we can get you sorted no problem at all.
A K300 review sounds interesting I'll definitely make sure to get one done for you Alex.

Quite honestly that hole with the probe and gauge offends me. If I were to buy one then the first thing I would do is extend both Quickfill and gauge to an inset level with the bottom of the stock using a standard Quickfill. Getting a piece of Walnut to match would be difficult so it would be a contrasting darker Rosewood even Black Ebony. Maybe even change to a brass gauge and Quickfill just for a touch of bling. Given the fugures I think a regulator is in order but not essential, oh and a depinger....I hate pings and pongs aren't much better either!

Sorry Dan I got carried away there , but the PCPs are just getting so good these days and I understand the attraction & even fascination of the loyal gathering who are true believer , but the rifles just feel soulless . I'd probably enjoy them more if they were more of a challenge perhaps a deliberate recoil built in , maybe that's why I don't mind blow back action C02 pistols , where as I feel unfulfilled even when I shoot good groups with the HW40 ,as the challenge feels simplified .
