The value of e, Euler's Notation/Constant/Number has an infinite decimal expansion similar to pi. The last line, "Do not go home until you finish reading the value of e" then the next line is the 63 digits worth of Euler's Notation. As we know, Euler's Notation is infinite, you can't finish reading it. It's basically telling the person to don't go home forever
This is the song for a faction in the Lobotomy Corp./Library of Ruina/Limbus Company universe called The Index. They receive pre-written tasks and deliver them to people. People have to complete these tasks in exchange for protection, and if they fail to complete their task the Index kills them. These tasks are sometimes cruel, nonsensical or outright impossible. The song plays during the boss fight against The Index.
More specifically against Yan, a Messenger for the Index who learns that none of the actions he does was of his own free will, and he’s nothing to the living City
One of the major themes of the game is the illusion of choice. The Index is a faction that works off of what seems almost like randomly generated orders that somehow always benefit them. The scope of it is shown to be almost omnipotent, as even the betrayal of one of it's members, someone doing their absolute best to throw a wrench in the process from the inside, ultimately works out in the Index's favor. There are five opposing syndicates of similar power (or so we're told, they only show two of them in the game with mention of some of the others) all named after the fingers of a hand. The Index being the index finger.
One of my favorite boss themes from LoR, the lyrics will sound like nonsense without context but basically this is the boss theme of a character at the culmination of a plotline about a group that offers protection in exchange for sending you papers with seemingly nonsensical tasks that must be completed or they kill you (these range from "wave your hand 7 times at a 4 way intersection" to "if the first person you meet outside today returns your greetings by raising their right hand take their heart out, if they ignore you take your own heart out")
The thing is even if you don't have that much context(as myself, I only started the index part) this still tell a story by itself even if not literal, playing the game probably would give greater context but her songs by itself already show their own hearthfelt story.
Ah, more Ruina for the boys. This covers the Yan in the syndicate "the Index." The Index follows sets of orders called "prescripts". Prescripts can range from "stand at this intersection and wave to someone at this specific time" to "disembowel every third person you meet". Yan is a messenger of the Index and is in charge of delivering prescripts. Saying any more is extremely spoiler heavy territory (like how the prescripts are made, who do they originate from, etc.). Just know that the lyrics "It's time for a Vendetta" are there for a reason. A side note, the mc, Roland states that the Index's prescripts seem random, but they always serve a greater purpose, and even the minor prescripts feed into this.
The flower on the icon is the blue aconite (wolfsbane), representing caution, treachery, and misanthropy, fitting for a Syndicate that espouses mindlessly following orders regardless of how illogical and immoral they seem to be. One of the symptoms of depression is a lack of regard for self-care, manifesting in habits like irregular sleeping habits; either constantly or not at all. Even without the context of the game, Children of the City is about depression and resigning one's self to the idea that free will is nothing but an illusion.
About this song, this is a Boss Stage song and it's lyrics is about the Boss itself, the boss is from a syndicates called "Index" one of 5 "Finger" syndicates, "Index" has something called "Prescript" it's like a small papper with some task inside it, "Index" giving people protection from any harm but the person that receive protection must follow Index prescript everyday and has time limit on it, the content of prescript is like a random daily task but also can get an absurd task from "Wave to the second person you meet today" to the "Play Rock-Papper-Scissors, you must play scissors and if you win take 50 of your opponent strand of hair, if you lose then vice versa, if draw do it again." Some of lyrics is like a Prescript task command like "In 400.000 meters, turn right" is like almost normal one and the last one "Do not go home until you finish reading the value of (E)" wich is basically ridiculous and impossible and you'll never go to home because if I remember value of (E) is like unlimited and has no end, and Mili just end it at half way because it's really impossible to finish this task. Basically if a person listening to this song without any context at all, they'll gona be confused af, like my friend when listening my list and try listening to this song, he was like "Defaq is this song meaning?" And I just answer it "Well, the meaning of this song is inside the game"
The singer's Cassie Wei the main vocalist of Mili a band that also worked on the Goblin Slayer Opening, Ender Lillies and also for Limbus Company with the songs In Hell We Live, Lament and Between Two Worlds.
Yan who this song was made for is probably one of my favorite characters and his whole ark is messed up and dark. My first time playing the index story line had me thinking he is actually gonna succeed all the way till the index proxy reception where it turns out all the time he spent rebelling against the will of the prescripts was anticipated long ago and at the end of the day he is doing exactly what the prescripts has planned for him.

Vocal songs are done by Mili. Studio EIM does most of the tracks in Ruina and Limbus. Though, the list of songs Mili performed in Ruina is a pretty solid length. I could see why this is a common misconception
Really at the end of the day, I just want the proper artist to get credit. Mili is one of my top artists of all time, but I don't like people disregarding EIM for all the bangers they made. Also I think Mili only made Between Two Worlds in Limbus, and I pray to God we get more soon!
