WhoDey! Jim didn’t invite Michael because Michael is rude
WhoDey! First of all, Michael wouldn’t even know about the party if he hadn’t browsed through everyone’s private emails.
Second, he isn’t equal to them - he’s their boss. If the purpose of a party is to destress and have fun, inviting the person most associated with stress and work is the exact opposite thing to do.
What Michael really needs is friends who aren’t his subordinates at work.
Jim is a douchebag in this episode.
I'm having none of this. Without fail, Michael ruins every interaction he has with his coworkers in a group setting. There is absolutely no reason for jim to want him to come. There are ppl in the office he probably doesn't really like, but they were invited (ie. Creed bc who even is that guy). Michael would (and did) ruin the party

@@Veachie
You must be very sensitive if you think that way about Michael.
@@Veachie People like Michael precisely because of his repeated social gaffes. Michael is funny because he is outrageous. Also because underneath his bravado, he is a lonely guy; many of his awkward encounters with his employees are attempts at friendship, which they gradually start to see. Best of all, when he isn't trying, he knows how to bond with people. He's been there for characters at their lowest points, like for Jim after Roy set a date for his and Pam's wedding.
@@Veachie *shrugs* Judging by the continued popularity of these clips and widespread memes, Michael Scott is still well regarded today. I don't think he would be so popular without his outrageousness and social gaffes. 2005 wasn't that long ago; you've still got shows on TV where at least one character is wildly politically incorrect. Sheldon Cooper from BBT is one example, and incredibly popular today. (And loads of people know Scott-esque characters in real life, so other than you having a right not to find him funny, that would be expected.)
@@mrbigbrain3116 Yeah. I mean, other people who have watched the show have gone through hard times and suffered bad treatment, yet they still find Michael Scott funny. Comedians often have tough lives, which is why they make risqué jokes about it. If someone finds it too offensive, then cool. But the fact that they are offended doesn't make it bad to have such characters. Comedy that avoids offending people isn't comedy and doesn't make people think or change. It has always been about dragging social taboos into the open and mocking them. That is why so many modern shows fall flat: they want to cleanse anything remotely uncomfortable or offensive and they want to just preach at the audience. With Michael Scott, you laugh in disbelief at his behaviour-- and at how the employees react to it. I should assume that everybody already knew that you wouldn't behave this way in reality.
@@Musicienne-DAB1995
My problem is that he thinks Scott is a racist, sexist, homophobic and so on. Which not only do think he is wrong but he’s pathetic.
Scott was just always looking for people’s approval, but he ends up saying things that people find offensive. Instead of seeing this Veachie finds Michael so abhorrent that he can’t even separate his life from a show. And unlike veachie who only had people around him deal with someone like Scott, I’ve actually had to deal with people like Tod Packer who are much worse than people like Michael Scott yet I can still separate my life from the show and enjoy and laugh at Tod’s character. Veachie is just pathetic that’s all there is to it.

Micheal: "You too, Dwight?"
Me: "I'm not crying, it's allergies!"
The way micheal shows that he knows that Jim is having a party is just so smooth 1:18
Well I suppose Michael would assume that professors went to college parties...
0:35 I love this scene
"Oh it's the best, I would not miss it for the world.... but if something else came up I would definitely not go" 😂🤣😅
Michael's interaction with Angela was ridiculously funny.
3:40 Jim gave him a script to follow 😂
3:24 I like how Jim looks at Stanley. That's a small but very good detail.
