I've noticed that the movies/TV segments that come from this particular supplier are a cut above the rest. Many copies, in the past, of Mardi Gras, have been offered by RUclips, but this one certainly is the VERY BEST. I am sure the film has been fully restored as it looks even better than the original that I saw when I was a little boy way back in 1957-58. This is, without doubt, Pat Boone's best film in his entire career. April Love and State Fair follow as two and three. Mardi Gras is packed with lovely songs sung not only by Pat, but he is ably supported by the velvet voiced Tommy Sands and Gary Crosby, whose pipes were not bad . Then there's the gorgeous French star, Christine Carere and that multi-dimensional talent, Sheree North, who not only sings and dances, but is incomparable with her one-liners. This is a memorable movie that you will want to visit from time to time as it has recall value. Pat's signature song "I'll remember tonight" is still loved even today.
This is a film that grabs my heart every time I see an ad. I reiterate the quality of this video is 100 times better than the original film I saw back in 1958. That Pat Boone-Christine Carere is truly a wonderful pair; then there's that matchless, Sheree North singing and dancing up a storm. Barrie Chase who is paired with Tommy Sands is reed thin and matches Fred Astaire's skinny frame. She was his dance partner for sometime in the 60's.
Tv quality is much better, as well as the screens compared to the screens that they were played on in Movie Theaters. Some theater’s took extra care of their screens and had curtains to protect them from damage, light and heat. 🙏💕🙏💕
Yes dears, this number of Pat in red T-shirt is Bourbon Street Blues, a highlight of this very enjoyable movie. Of course, the best number, in addition to the title track, is "I''ll remember tonight" sung so enchantingly by our boy Pat Boone. He was truly a gentleman's gentleman!!!

My Father-in-law was a cadet there while this was filmed at VMI. I believe he can be seen in one of the clips. He retired as a Brigadier General in the Marine Corps.

This was fast moving and entertaining. The harmonization of "Shendandoah" song was so rich with Tommy Sands taking it to the end. The orchestration of military cadets marching in nsync is always so mesmerizing to watch. The Marde Gras parade. The banter and joking of supporting actors made for a good time for all. Christine Cerere is always interestering to watch with her playfulness, mischiefnesss and sophiscated mannerisms makes the story she is telling interesting. Loved Pat Boones "Boubon Street Blues" song with the orchestra in the back was great. Any song writer is lucky to have Pat Boone record their songs.

IM OVER 80 YEARS OLD AND IM WATCHING THIS MOVIE AGAIN RIGHT NOW. I WISH I COULD FLY BACK TO 1940 AND BRING VIDEOS OF 2024. THEY WOULD BE IN SHOCK AT THE FILTH AND PERVERSIONS OF TODAY. SODOM AND GOMORRAH TYPE CRAP. MARDI GRAS TODAY AT LENT, WHAT A JOKE. COME BACK JESUS, COME BACK.
The storyline is a little like Presley's "GI Blues". The French star looks a little like Juliet Prowse.

Rather nice seeing Canal Street in the 1950s. Interesting how the female star only had one hairstyle throughout. Loved seeing Sheree North who wore several hairstyles in the flick.
Jay Leno owns one of those 1958 Continentals the same color but without the white roof. Bought in Anaheim. I almost thought it might be the same one.

Shame to have such a short dance number with Sheree North. Then, they cut her and Tommy's legs off for a medium shot. Wast this cut from a letter box version? I watched this for Sheree.
