Biffy Clyro's biography begins in Scotland starting in 1995. Their lineup has stayed consistent for the duration of their activity, with Simon Neil on guitar, James Johnston playing bass, and Ben Johnston handling drums. Simon Neil serves as the primary vocalist and lyricist, but all three have participated with vocals and songwriting.

Biffy sound is so fucking original that sometimes I think this is the best music I’ve listened to this last ten years. Splenid drums architecture and bass rythm. Asimmetric melodies but the result is completely armonic.I feel an heavy dose of magik. Simply MAGIK!!!!!

I love that moment whenever a new album is coming out and you hear a bit of it and realize it’s going to be really, really, very good. This is that moment for me.
They have reached an amazing level of artistic grandiosity, although they are so overly productive in the last few years. "Balance, not symmetry" was totally different, but a fuck..g masterpiece in variety (I like it more than "Ellipsis") a year later "Celebration of endings" and in a month the next masterpiece to come. Of course not every song on all the last records was great, but still BC is the Best Rock/Alternative Band in the world at the moment and no one is close in my opinion.

I agree. They know their sound, while clearly experimenting on every album. They have better and worse songs like every band but the scope of their innovative imagination grows with every album. Lyrically tight, their technical mastery is obvious. I mean one of their best albums is Similarities, which all B-Sides!! Incredible. Best band in the world in my opinion. Have been for years
@@pol_420 no, you totally misunderstood my point here - it is an amazing thing, to be able to be overly productive and maintain such a high level of quality! Others of my favorite bands offer an album all 3-5 years (Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters), and still are just OK on their quality level compared to the Biff. Don't know how they can do it, but they are perfectly awesome.

Biffy had me since I listened to them for the first time. The Captain was my first time taking this drug.

Been a biffy fan for 17 now! Wow.. fell in love with them when Infinity Land came out. Got immediately hooked on Glitter and Trauma, and the rest is history. Was fortunate enough to meet the guys, and see them live in LA in front of probably less than 250 people and the show was beyond amazing.. Biffy!!!!

Was good to see them at Glasgow green after a year of no gigs! Glad to see they've not forgot their roots and using Ayrshire as the backdrop to this masterpiece!

@@del8224 Yeah, the majority of the video is filmed at Dunaskin Brickworks out in Patna direction, the abandoned buildings and the tyre shots - good place to visit and walk along the railway and into the buildings. I'm surprised they didn't show the railway and the abandoned machinery as they are pretty cool. Wouldn't recommend going on your own though if you get spooked easy! The beach looks like it is between Irvine and Barassie beach - I've walked along it enough to recognise the shot at 2 mins 15 secs. Not too sure on the woods shots - don't think it's Culzean and struggling to picture anywhere around here that has woods that vast and open but it must be around here, either somewhere along the coast or Aberfoyle area due to probably being restricted on travel and keeping it local due to size of film crew and cast and whatever else cos of covid

Pretty much at the Western Gailes golf club, that sorta section of the beach I'm sure and would make sense as it's accessible and easy enough without walking for ages with camera equipment. I walk the golf club to Barassie a couple times a month if the weather's decent. Lawthorn born and bred here!

I saw them in a small tent in 2002 at "Gig on The Green" as it was then called. Didn't know anything about them but was drawn in by the power of the sound. They were playing their whole Blackened Sky album and it blew me away. I got a biffy 'b' tattoo the next week and it's been confused for Bebo ever since. I'd say this is my favourite song from them which is an incredible achievement as bands tend to fizzle out over time. Great times.

The “Hunger In Your Haunt” video seems like a reflection and vision about their last record, when they kick all the blue paint, remembering a time they were more full of “wisdom and eloquence” before the pandemic strike, while now they are like “f*ck all that sh*it” and giving space for a more chaotic mind

I remember seeing Biffy Clyro years ago when they were supporting InMe. I was a big InMe fan and when I got to the venue I saw there was quite a number of Biffy fans, and I had never even heard of them. It was strange because usually the support bands were way smaller and Biffy brought an amazing following with them. When they hit the stage I saw why. You could tell they were gonna be bigger than InMe one day, and it sure as hell didn't take long. I bet most people reading this haven't even heard of InMe.

The first song is amazing from beginning to end. The second song started off with me feeling "A slow song, not as good as the other one, but I can appreciate it". Then as it went on I almost turned it off as I was getting bored. But just as I did it got a bit more interesting, and then it finally exploded and looking back on the whole it was also an amazing song. Good work.

Finally biffy are back on form with a hunger in your haunt. And the drop in unknown. May not like all thier stuff in the last few years But artists have to breathe and try new things to find thier off-key epicness again. I'll always love biffy. Especially heavy biffy. Meeting them when they were small is one of the rock stories I tell along side getting a hello from John Paul Jones with them crooked vultures.

I'm STAGGERED by how few people know of Biffy in the states! All I have to do is play Wolves Of Winter, Stingin Belle, or (OF FUCKING COURSE) Bubbles and everyone is an instant fan. One of the last true fucking rock bands.
That guitar lead is catchy af🔥
