Here's an at home tip! If the skin tag is big or loose enought, grab yourself a string of dental floss. Tie it close to the skin around the skin tag (if it's on your arm it helps to have a friend do this) and square knot (double knot) it. Pull it as tight as you can.
It'll feel weird for an hour or so, but you'll start to notice something. First, it will turn purple, then brown, then black. Within a week, you would have suffocated the skin tag. The veins and nerves shut down within the skin tag due to a lack of blood flow. Once it turns black, it will either fall off on its own, or easily pop off with a gentle tug with no blood!

make sure it remains clean and sterile. by the time it falls off, the skin underneath should have already healed and all you'll have left is a tiny scar

Skin tags are usually caused by poor diet and poor lifestyle choices.
They have a connection to metabolic disease.
You could research how to get metabolically healthy here on RUclips. There are milder channels like Dr. Berg, and there are more "extreme" channels like Dr. Ken Berry, or even really extreme like Dr. Anthony Chaffee.

They have plastic skin tag bands that can be stretched a bit then put overtop the area then snap closed on the base of the skin tag because it’s antibacterial/microbial it tends to be a healthier option which has less risk of other issues. Altho it’s still recommended to go to a doctor rather then amazon purchases. As some skin tags may be cancer.

I would like to put forward the third option; get some tough, but fine string and make a tiny locking noose knot. Get it around the base of the skin tag as tight as you can, and twice a day make sure it’s still tight as possible. It’ll sting a bit, but if the tag isn’t huge it’ll cut off the blood circulation like a tourniquet and will come off with very little blood in roughly a week.

I treated a skin tag myself. I worked in electronics troubleshooting and repair, and I had an aerosol freezer, which could be directed at a component to see if it would change its behaviour. When directed at anything, it would freeze that thing to about minus-30 degrees, so when I had a skin tag under my arm, I froze it with the aerosol. It went white with frost for a couple of minutes (which killed it), then it fell off after a couple of weeks, without leaving a sore. It seemed already healed. HOWEVER - after a couple of years, it had grown back again - so I froze it off again - but again, it only lasted a couple of years - so now, I just tolerate it.

I found out that skin tags are the result of skin touching skin on your body, or something else being almost constantly against it, constantly heating that area and irritating it. I have two that have formed on areas one, where I wear a strap connected to an apron at the job I work at, around the back of my neck, and another from an area where skin was against other skin, like under your underarms, so it must be true.🤷‍♀️

Tip for people that don’t wanna rip it off and don’t want to spend 1000$, tie a knot around it with floss or any other thin string and slowly tighten it over time. The skin tag will die due to lack of blood flow and fall off naturally. I’ve done this three times before so I know it works!
depending on how big it is it might take a week or more so I would use a bandaid to cover up the string. (One of mine was on my belly and was naturally covered on my shirt but the other was on my neck, so I covered it up) plus it’ll keep the knot from slipping off.

hair strands is what you should use. It's thin and strong. You're strangulating the tag out of existence. Your method works great!
You make one knot to strangle the tag and a second one to secure the first one. Cut off the excess hair and it'll stay secure till it falls off.

  • @juhsuhcah
    @juhsuhcah 8 месяцев назад +543

So for those who can't afford this option of having it professionally removed, you can safely remove them by:
    A) take thread and make a looped knot and slowly pull the end of the thread to tighten around base of tag, very tight. Tie and knot to keep it in place. The thread, when tied tight enough, will choke off blood supply, and within a few days, tag will fall off without leaving open wound.
    B) Buy wart remover from drug store, the kind that freezes them off is preferred over the salicylic acid wart remover. It may take a few applications. This is NOT the same as the freezing used in doctors office. It's a different chemical and is much weaker. Make sure to aim the wart spray at the base of tag, but to avoid healthy skin as much as you can. Wart removers come with multiple applications. Good for removing 1-6 tags. If you have a lot more tags, it's better to use method A or go to doctor as wart remover can become costly per pack if you need a lot.

"Ripping it off would cause significant bleeding."
Yes, like any other minor wound that comes in contact with blood vessels. So long as manageable bleeding is not a threat to your longevity (for some with conditions such as sickle cell anemia, it can be), you will be fine. Just hold a small tissue over the area and you won't have to worry.
"The open wound would be susceptible to infection."
Yes, just like any other open wound. If you disinfect the area and keep it clean, your chances of infection drastically decrease.
You are perfectly fine to remove skin tags, yourself so long as you follow the proper precautions. I'd recommend removing it via wire shearing, simple cutting, or torsion. Wire shearing where you take a thin piece of wire-like material (such as floss), disinfect it, and wrap it around the base of the skin-tag while pulling until it shears the tag off. Torsion is where you spin it until it is taut back and forth until it tears off.

@@r0s3_th0rnssGet a freezing pen, which is what the doc is useing in this video. Unless you like to spend $1000 and days worth of apts. It would take you 5min and like 20 bucks. You could prob even trip it off or cut it. A pea size cut isnt nothing

You can also wrap a thread or hair around it and leave it there until it shrivels up and falls off by itself.

@@thwahirmahammed4334 You might need someone to assist you. Get some string/hair, lift the skin tag up and tie the string at the base of the tag. Any sort of knot will do so long as it's secure. Make sure it tied tightly enough so you can feel it, but not so tight that it hurts. The string cuts off the blood flow and in about 3-7 days it'll fall off.

Or hear me out, they have tag removers that are tiny rubber bands that choke it and it falls off or twist it to cut circulation. Cheaper but takes longer to do

It doesn't sound healthy, what if the meat starts rooting and it extends to the normal skin?

      A growth of skin.
Unless very unlucky the do nothing except look a bit weird.
And to remove them you can get an over the count mole removal kit.
Or like myself just lop it off with something sharp, realise it bleeds a bit, apply bandaid, and go about your day.
