An additional piece of information; I am a dermatologist and I can advise that it is safe to pop pimples and spots only if the hands and especially the fingers are washed thoroughly before squeezing the pimple. Ensure that the pimple is also washed both before and after popping to ensure that no other bacteria both - harmless and pathogenic - infiltrate the wound. If available, make use of specialised acne creams such as sudocreme or any creme that consists of zinc oxide to inhibit bacterial growth and improve healing. Have a great day everyone 😁👍

I have a blackhead hit that comes with small needles. When I get a pimple, I lightly prick is so it pops easier, but it doesn't actually work. It just makes the area incredibly inflamed and not go away for weeks. I'm at an impass here, what am I supposed to do?

@@Anuyushi Hello Nagida, I am sorry for getting back to you late. Unfortunately all methods of popping pimples will result in inflammation as a result of the immune system; if you are concerned about inflammation then I advise removing blackheads at night and washing the face with soap and warm water immediately afterwards. However, needles themselves are slightly more harmful to use because these long tools may puncture too far into the pores and can cause even more unnecessary damage. I recommend making use of the blackhead and blemish remover, i.e. the elongated handle with the two oval ends. This can be used effectively to scrape both blackheads and pus from within spots and is less painful. It also provides slightly less inflammation because it is not puncturing the skin but rather scraping all the gunk within the pores and around it. Make sure to wash the face every time you are finished and make use of warm water and soap. Try not to use too much makeup shortly afterwards as this can induce oil secretions and they can become trapped under the skin, forming additional blackheads and spots. I hope this helped you Nagida! If I have evaded anything important I will try to help and if you have any additional questions I will be willing to help you if I can. I've heard people say many times not to pop a pimple but from my experience they heal alot faster once they've been cleared of all that junk and often tines they pop on their own from washing or something brushing against them. They're meant to be popped. Clean them before and after with alcohol if you're worried about infection.

@@DonaldDonald-gv7ys I prefer hydrogen peroxide but when I was younger and would get a bad zit I'd use alcohol. I've used it on plenty of other wounds and haven't knotice any difference in scars. Maybe it does and that would be a concern for a woman but I don't really care about scars.
Sometimes I will have a pimple that is extremely hard and painful. The only way to make it swell less and hurt less is to pop it. It usually won't pop for a day or two but eventually it does and it barely hurts afterwards.

You are bullshit. That doesn't work. It is genetic and hormonal.
I wash my face every godamn day and guess what. I'm covered in acne.
It gets better, man! Try adapalene and exfoliating once or twice a week. Also try using a sensitive and oil free daily face cleanser and oil free moidturizer. I had terrible skin as a teen but adapalene and age has changed my life! 19 with a clear face.
Try Jojoba Oil
Then get some cream for it and its probably better if you don't pop it if it'd close to your nose or eyes
We wash our faces, we have used every remedy and cream possible, we even changed our diet, we have been at numerous dermatologists but nothing just makes acne disappear because it's HORMONAL or GENETIC! We can't not pop our pimples because the dirt stays inside and keeps infecting our skin even more. Even doctors advise to pop that shitty white pimple with clean hands and then sterilize the wound. Stop acting like you know everything when you clearly can't fit in our shoes!

I had, and still sort of have bad acne. Sometimes it even becomes cystic, those are the worst. My friends told me to talk to my doctor about Accutane, which probably would have worked great, however due to a liver condition I was born with, it was deemed too strong. I ended up on Doxycycline, an antibiotic, which really helped with the cysts and even non cystic acne. I have been using witch hazel and a non clogging lotion before bed and in the morning, plus a face lotion when showering, which has really helped. I'm hoping one day everything is gone for good.
My son takes Doxycycline. It’s like night and day. I also have a microdermabrasion machine. That helps a ton too. Plus it pops all the white heads on his face, chest, and back. I use medicated pads on his skin and especially on his few popped pimples. And over the counter acne cream with retinol.
For cystic acne: wash area then apply egg white egg on it 3 times a day and more if u like. It should be better by evening time. I was able to quit makeing the trek to derm for shot anymore!!!!🎉🎉🎉😂🎉😂. I DO go once a year or less for stubborn ones.
I use to have bad acne too but this is how I got rid of it...
Use a face towel and dove soap to wash your face twice everyday (In the morning and before bed). I notice that I never see people use a washcloth, even in skin care commercials. The face towel will help exfoliate your skin and get into those pores.
Then use aveeno to moisturize your skin.
Once a week, after washing your face, use alcohol and a cotton as an astringent to get the excess oil and dirt that you've accumulated all week.
Then use a peel mask to pull out all the excess dirt and oil in your pores. Afterward, moisturize your skin with aveeno.
You should see and feel a big difference, even after the 1st time you use the mask. If you do this routine everyday, your skin will be clear in no time. If not, then you're dealing with something other than just acne.
My partner uses azelaic acid and a cleanser, which does a really good job preventing the blockages and blackheads from forming. Gentle cleaning with a CLEAN cloth every night. It won't fix everything, but it will help.

Usually if I leave a pimple alone, it grows and it becomes unbearable, huge, nasty, and it doesn't disappear. On the other hand if I pop it and wash my face, the next morning the inflammation is gone and dried out.

What does it mean when the pimple has some solid gray stuff in it that comes out when you pop it I’ve had 2 of those before
If i don't pop them they'll stay there and hurt. Popping them makes them actually vanish in the following day or two.

I just let mine leave at its own time. Whether it hurts or not I’m not popping it, I actually just have a “special” kind of soap for my skin and it leaves fairly fast, but that’s just what I do 🤷♀️. You guys do you.

Videos like this are so annoying. They almost always tell you NOT to pop the pimple! Um, you realize that if we don't pop it, it will just continue to grow and clog up more and more and be inflamed for weeks instead of days? Yeah. I'm not dealing with that shit.
1.) If it looks like you can pop it....then POP it! Just make sure you washed your hands with anti-bacterial soap before you touch it with your dirty fingers. Or, get one of those tools with the metal hoop that's great for popping.
2.) After it's been popped....clean the area extremely well. Make sure you squeezed out as much as possible. Even if there's only blood left, keep squeezing out the blood until it's done, because some of that blood has a ton of bacteria still in it.
3.) Rinse off the area with ice cold water. That will help close the pores, preventing more junk from getting in while it heals.
4.) Ignore anyone who tells you not to pop pimples. Those people are witches.

Underrated comment
The best ones are the ones that kinda hurt or are sore and swollen and you finally pop it and instantly feel the relief, you release the pressure and the pain and swelling goes down or away completely. For me those are rare but boy does it feel good when I pop them when they're ready to be popped.

I’ve been popping pimples for 40 years. Fortunately I don’t get nearly as many now as when I was a teenager; the point being they never got infected. It makes the pimple clear up faster.

I had severe acne during my teenage years and I finally visited a dermatologist who prescribed me accutane and after 6 months my face looked alot better. After a year it looked like I never even had acne

The worst infected pimples I ever had were the ones I left alone. I had one on my chin that grew to be twice the size...a Dr said leave it alone...and developed into a boil. It was so painful and, once it popped on its own, took over a month to go down and heal. Subsequently, I take care of all outbreaks myself immediately, flush the area of infection and put on a topical cream or jel...they seldom last more than 2 days with no scaring. I'm now 65 years and absolutely no scaring by the pimples I popped and cared for.

Sometimes you just need to follow your instincts, lol. I also sanitize my hands & pop it after washing my face then dry the area & cover it with a bandage. It heals in 2 or 4 days without scars.

What I do is wash my hands before I pop a pimple to limit the amount of bacteria that it comes in contact with, and right after, dab a cotton pad with alcohol to disinfect it and dry it up

Actually yeah. Sometimes it disapears and sometimes it just pops on its own. Still dint touch it cuz of the bacteria. Just wash your face accordingly and everything will go away by itself. In time. Drinking a lot water can help with the redness

Sir may I remind you that just leaving pimples can leave scars cause your basically letting bacteria eat away at the skin until it pops itself or becomes smaller and creates more pimples around it... Correct? And if you let that wound heal by itself, especially with how much bacteria is already inside your bound to make it worse, so the solution of just leaving it isn't the smartest thing to do, least you can do is wash your hands and after popping the pimple just rub some product for wounds on it and slap a Band-Aid on it and let it heal that way. Simple, and effective.

Its different for everyone though. I let my pimples go away naturally because they leave quickly. Whenever I pop them, they just scar. Even after I treat it. You also have to think of the process prior to the formation of pimples. For example: washing your face at least 2 times a day and refraining from touching your face with unclean hands helps ALOT. I follow those simple steps and my face is basically clean and glowing. But yes like you said, monitoring a pimple is very important.
as a person who had acne for about two years, I’m glad to report every pimple I ever popped never left a scar.

I had real bad acne as a teenager. Into my early 20's too. I never practiced good hygiene like washing my hands and face properly, and would constantly pick and scratch at my face, sometimes to the point of drawing blood. The acne scars last a lifetime though. Better to just wash your face regularly with a mild face wash (nothing too extreme because it will dry out your skin, thus producing more oil), and avoid touching your face as much as possible.
Well you can still have treatment like laser for acne scars...etc
Dont worry girl i have pimples and i regert popping them,rn im going through puberty,if you keep popping yo pimples it’ll leave black spots on the area where you popped,and it’ll spread out to your whole face somehow and if you keep popping them,there will be blacks spots all over your face,thank god i have the medication for that,you will need a
derive (adapalene gel 0.1% , Aqueous gel) this will help you remove those black spots and will recover but it will peel off the layers as well which will leave your skin sensitive,when you itch it,it will burn you and even leave a scar or a black spot,i only have mine for 1mouth.
Dexa cream (5% w/w dexpenthenol ) this is the lotion that will support your skin and will help it recover nicely,lotion at morning when you wake up,deriva at night when your about to go to sleep.
This honestly changed my skin,it made it smoother,it made it fresh,but i dont know if available at other countries though,im currently at UAE,and they have it.
And please do not put makeup on it will just make it worse! Even soft makeup,lashes,blush,lipstick,any makeup products! You’re skin is in the middle of recovery and you’ll just make it worse!

I utilize an herb-mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older.

Been poping pimples since the day they started to apear and havent had any problems, once i pop the pimple it drys out and by the next day its like nothing happened not even a scar is visible....however if you dont pop it it will get worse

I had acne since I was a teen and well into my adult life and would still have it if I had not discovered birth control which effortlessly and totally cleared up my skin. For years I have tried nearly every topical product out there and amongst them the best was acnefree but it would still dry out my skin and I still had texture issues…I suggest women to try different types of birth control until they find one that works because most of the time acne is caused by hormone imbalances which is why mine totally cleared me up in under a month of birth control! I just wish I discovered this sooner. Women are lucky in a way because we have many options of birth control that will often improve our skin but I wonder if there is a similar pill that men can take to help their skin too?
Hey! Thought you might like to know: for women, often hormone imbalances can often be fixed with taking supplements, such as Magnesium or Vitamin B complex, as well as Vitamin D. I've had super strong, painful periods for years, as well as hormonal acne, but my life improved immensely when I started on supplements. I'd suggest trying it, although talking to your doctor beforehand is a good way to go.
P.S. Most women crave chocolate because it has Magnesium.

no matter how many times you wash yourself, you will always have bacteria. soap can't fully remove bacteria.
Soumojit Bhattacharjee No...When you pop the pimple even after washing your hand with antibacterial soap,your pimple is still exposed to atmospheric bacteria and more bacteria surrounding the popped pimple. So the best thing is to not pop it at all.

I pop them and so far, no crazy infection on my face yet. It hurts when i did pop them but that’s how to keep the face looking cleanish. I haven’t had a pimple in a few years, though.

Use hot water to open the pores, clean with soap or whatever you use, and then rinse with cold water which seals the pores.

I grew up in the 80s, and this video would have been helpful,
The controlled, antiseptic popping of pimples is preferred to just letting them break open on their own. Pop it too early and such pressure-application may push any infection deeper. Wait too long after the pimple primes to head and again, the reservoir develops past breaking stage, and infection may take over from temporary neglect.
Proper pimple-popping is an art form.

A bunch of letters I mean like a small cut or puncture will heal up without leaving a scar, but once you get a big gash/cut. They won't heal up without scar tissue. The body needs to do that to heal, not really possible for it to heal without leaving all the scar tissue

Whenever i get pimples I always try to pop it in cleanest way as possible. I never use my finger to pop it because of the bacteria im carrying so i always been using a pimple popper stick. I have a cleanser around with me always and before i pop the pimple I make sure to clean my pimple popper stick with the cleanser and then pop it. Even after I pop it i wait for a bit and then use my cleanser again to clean my pimple area. This helps me get rid of having more pimples and even my mark fades away. I've seen my cousins using their fingers to pop their pimples and the results were not good. It either spreads or leaves a huge mark. So i never use my finger and even i dont recommend.

Guys I have decent skin but idk if it works for me but I shower twice a day and I make sure I shampoo my face(ik crazy) I stop if my skin gets too dry but I shampoo it and if I get a pimple I pop it in the shower after I washed everything, I put shampoo on my fingers and wash it and then I pop. If I get everything out in the first go I wash my finger but if I don’t then I wash my finger and try popping it. I also then wash the skin surrounding the pimple with shampoo or soap to not infect other pores
