LiFePo4 (or LFP, Lithium Ferro Phosphate) batteries are cobalt-free, and already widely available in cars today. Lithium is an abundant material, and mining can be carried out in an environmentally friendly manner.
Waiting for solid-state technology is a lame excuse to persist in selling gas cars like Toyota and BMW do for the past 15 years. It won't be widely available for at least 5 to 10 years, and it won't have the promised range.

Correct, battery chemistry is changing fast, and the LFP revolution is indeed in full mass production mode, not just one of those lab results where no one knows if they'll scale.

*Tesla* is not mentioned once, amazing.
_Tesla_ leading, best and biggest in EV, powerwalls, megapacks, supercharger-network.
Most American company of them all.
_[Edit] __43:56__ ah, yes, Tesla's fart mode mentioned here,_ nice to know it can be programmed on voice command😄 this while VW struggle to have its software running, it's navigation software is a joke compared to that of a Tesla.

Tesla, aside from not being exactly a secret, is mentioned in the presentation and Q&A and is also included in the charts of available EVs shown. BTW, a transcript is available under "More".
