It summarises the whole piece and creates a more intense effect. My imagination can hear you backing up your vocals in chorus and bridge by harmonising a third and fifth above. Potentially some bass to add more depth, substance and give the lyrics more intonation and meaning. Well done mate, you have a gift. Also opal’s are a thing here in South Australia, with many abandoned mines in Coober Pedy. Great place to visit if you like ridiculous heat, desert and flies.
