I turn 50 this year. If you go by life expectancy, I’ve lived over half my life. Some days I feel it but when I read a good coming or revisited an old issue I’m 10 again. Or maybe it’s just that I’m young at heart.
I've watched enough Jeenie Weenie videos to know that you'll look 22 for another 15 years.
Really enjoy the commentary
Whenever you hear someone say "comics are for everyone," the only questions you should ask them are:
1: What do you think is preventing "everyone" from enjoying comics?
2: How do you propose to deal with this problem?
3: How can you be sure it will work?
There are comics Journalists? Could have fooled me.
I get what you mean. I also think You Tubers have took over from them. They are my news for pop culture stuff.
Is that Heidi in the picture?
whoooooo
So is there a central agency or source that sets the agreed upon message that the industry pushes at a given point in time?
Comics desperately needs a Matt Taibbi type.
No.....
Spider Jerusalem
Who's older heidi or gail samone.?
But is Star Wars for everyone?
Not anymore
Pop culture is for anyone, but not everyone.
i think this is true its time
What’s going on with the 2 videos per day again?
Maybe he's planning his exit twice as fast.
I know, right? Is he speed running through his inventory?
Look fat, I ain't loyal to nothin' but... y'know... the thing!
On a note related to the topic of old age, is there a creative way to write an "Old Man *blank*" story without just retreading Dark Knight Returns? It seems like a lot of these stories are about an old hero coming back in a dystopian future, or at least one where things go bad around the hero.
Spider-Man is still active at age 70something in Spider-Man Life Story. He does retire and then come back between chapters 4 and 5, but they're really just retreading Peter's brief retirement during the clone saga. Anyway, it's a very different "Old Man Peter" and is really a grand summation of all Spidey comics from 1967 to 2019.
Ah Dead Man 2000 AD. Old man dystopian future and things go bad. Well they always kinda go bad in 2000 AD.
