These storylines are ridiculous. It’s the biggest thing they added to franchise mode this year and it would have been better if they didn’t add it at all
@keithworthing7038 no that's not how it goes add something of quality not filler which sounds like it was written by people who have no depth to their being
This series has me more hyped than the actual NFL season and it's just getting started. You've been doing a great job capturing the magic in a similar style to some of your best Franchise series ! Keep it up !
If you ever want to cheese the "get me the ball" situation, list Eli as the slot WR and the 3rd down RB for the game. Not very realistic, but it works.
I'm 18 minutes in, so I don't know if it's been figured out yet, but Briscoe has star dev. Superstar and x-factor players get abilities at 75/80 overall and Briscoe didn't have an ability unlock when he went from a 74 to a 75.
Seeing Etienne reminded me I drafted an 80 overall, superstar dev RB with 50 injury. Then, in the following draft, there was an 82 overall WR with 46 injury. I don't know that I've seen injury ratings that low before.
A QB the Jets drafted in Cane's Raiders series last Madden - George "All Plays Must Pass" Garrison - had a whopping 32 injury rating. (We played Garrison a couple times and it somehow never became a factor. Good for him, of course, but it seemed weird to me.)
With time management and storylines, nice to see the AI hasn't been improved since the last time I bought a Madden game. (I gave up after years of "I demand the ball more." "Okay." [Target: 150 yards--play one, 80 yard TD, play 2, 60 yard pass, broken leg on tackle] "So I guess you forgot that I'm still a member of the team?")
You can totally ignore the Eli story line. I got that rebuilding the Giants with Malik Nabers. I ignored it and nothing really happened. I think he lost 10 morale or something nothing crushing
Having a solid season and Lawrence is playing some smart football. Offense sells tickets but defense wins championships and the defense is pretty solid. Really enjoying the series!
What other choice did he have? It was the easiest of the 3 options he was given. The others ones are: 6 catches/4 rushes 7 catches/ 3 rushes. He went with the odds of more catches to runs in the sim engine. The game sucks. He did what he could. Short of changing him to a running back and putting him at slot receiver and starting RB. But thats cheezin.
Loving the pace of this series. I'm also fine with ignoring interviews/storylines from now on. They are so clearly half-baked. A WR demanding rushing attempts, it's unbelievable that they shipped that feature
22:57 i think arrington might be better off with a juke box ability or something since his juke and spin is higher and will probably be used more than trucking and stiff arms
Loving this series! Wish that madden would get their shit together and make these “dynamic” storylines make sense. I’m fine with you just ignoring them from here on out and maybe even turning off morale if it keeps bringing the team down? These series are about storylines and team building and I don’t think that the morale/press conference bullshit is fleshed out enough to work with what has been an awesome series so far! Keep churning these out cane !
I agree the story lines are really dumb like dumb dumb but with you wanting to make Eli Arrington a guy who gets yards in open space maybe you can give him some runs I feel that would be really cool
I don’t know how EA has managed it but they in fact have just gotten worse the AI in slow sim has had the most amount of problems I’ve seen in both cfb25 and madden compared to last years
i know i’m late but i love the coincidence of trading Tuli for Nwosu, both former Chargers 2nd round picks at edge rusher who went to USC and wear a number in the 40s
To help the pass rush Mrhurriicane needs to change his de's to speedrushers to help the sacks and pressures but you should keep the dt's to power rushers. Not tring to steal your job just tring to help
From what I remember, the primary ratings roll to see how much of the secondary rating gets used for it's roll (or vice versa). So, if you have a 99 pass block and 80 pass block power then the game rolls that 99 to see how much of the secondary stat gets used against a power rush to determine the outcome and by how much. Same with receivers. I'm not sure why EA keeps the generic catch and block stat anymore when it's redundant and hurts offensive calculations. Maybe you could argue weather/outside factors that affect the main stat, but not the secondary ones... but that ultimately affects them anyway.
@@stevemichaels4072 It's basically a tabletop simulation with dice rolls. I didn't program the game or formulate the equations, but basically I imagine it boils down to the number of successess each side rolls and the result is based on the size of the difference between the two. So, if your specific rating says you get 80 dice rolls in a specific situation (80 pass block power) against someone that has 80 dice rolls for bull rushing (80 power moves), then whichever person gets more successes wins the outcome. Maybe the power rusher wins by 3 rolls and therefore only gets a small success outcome, pushing the blocker backwards a foot. OR the power rusher wins by 15 and completely pancakes the blocker into the ball carrier as a result. The extra pass block stat in this instance would be a modifier for the blocker in determining how many rolls they get to use. So, if they have 99 pass block, then they probably have a 99% chance to get their full allotment of rolls (or greater). Things like weather/coaching/home field/etc. probably affect this stat alone and not the more specific ones. And like I said before, this could be completely inverted where the specific stats are modifying the generic one based on the situation of the blocking occuring.
Pass blocking be giving the least amount of points when uograding to me. Not sure a quick fix, I usually give them a extra point just because compared to every other position OLine develops the slowest and usually never upgrade traits
Nooo first you choose not to rebuild the Jets then you highlight their ridiculous ownership. My heart can't take it. The last time my team was (positively) relevant was before your first long-running franchise! 😢 I hope you choose to rebuild them one day, because that may be the closest they ever get to being good again in my lifetime.
Make Eli the Power back somehow or something, He really does have the stats to run the ball, especially with the abilities you gave him... Why not!? Make him a gadget player like Deebo Samuel!
The problem with all of the challenges is that they are balanced with the assumption that a player will both play the game and prioritize the challenge. If they made it balanced for CPU vs CPU it would be way too easy for everyone else.
hey cane, wanted to tell you that for lineman, only the pass block finesse and pass block power matter, as they relate to power and finesse moves. pass block means nothing. vice versa, run block is the only rating that matters in run blocking, the power and finesse mean nothing.
This episode shows why buying madden is such a waste of money. Game has been out since August and yet multiple glitches and the press conference stuff is just ridiculous
Chuck Johnson comes in with the game on the line in a gotta have it moment and throws an absolute laser beam
You should keep doing the press conferences. There is nothing more realistic then getting shredded by the media for no reason
3:41 “Maybe our defenders didn’t think his Madden rating was high enough” is diabolical. 😂
Cane must have consulted Woody Johnson’s kid.
This whole episode was loaded with zingers, honestly.
Jets Owner will be catching strays for years to come.....
Eli arringtion is hilarious man.
“You don’t want to find out” 😳😂
I can’t believe the devs unironically put that into the game.
These storylines are ridiculous. It’s the biggest thing they added to franchise mode this year and it would have been better if they didn’t add it at all
Then they couldn't say they added anything tangible
At least they added something. Better than not adding anything and completely ignoring it like they used to do.
@keithworthing7038 no that's not how it goes add something of quality not filler which sounds like it was written by people who have no depth to their being
To be fair, a diva reciever is 100% a thing.
This series has me more hyped than the actual NFL season and it's just getting started. You've been doing a great job capturing the magic in a similar style to some of your best Franchise series ! Keep it up !
Only in Madden would a sim QB with open space to run in for a TD would instead throw the ball away😂😂😂😂
If you ever want to cheese the "get me the ball" situation, list Eli as the slot WR and the 3rd down RB for the game. Not very realistic, but it works.
I think that is fair since it is stupid to request rushes anyway.
As soon as Cane said I am happy with Lawrences play that he would throw a pick. I did not think it would be the very next pass lol.
Eli Arrington has to be Wesley Snipes’ unacknowledged son
I'm 18 minutes in, so I don't know if it's been figured out yet, but Briscoe has star dev. Superstar and x-factor players get abilities at 75/80 overall and Briscoe didn't have an ability unlock when he went from a 74 to a 75.
Fr this is one of the only franchise series i can get hooked on
31:05 I laughed wayyy too hard at this
Seeing Etienne reminded me I drafted an 80 overall, superstar dev RB with 50 injury. Then, in the following draft, there was an 82 overall WR with 46 injury. I don't know that I've seen injury ratings that low before.
a corner i drafted 3rd overall has 32 injury
@ 😱

@ you know, I watched those and don’t remember that. Glad to know though that 50 isn’t the lowest it can go. lol
I think you should consider looking at QB in this upcoming draft. Lawrence is playing well, but I don't think he'll get the franchise QB tag again
39:19 "I'm pretty happy with Lawrence's play so far this season."
Cue up the interception music, boys.
Just Watched Canada Lose to Latvia in a shootout in the World juniors. Thanks Cane, I needed one of these videos
You can totally ignore the Eli story line. I got that rebuilding the Giants with Malik Nabers. I ignored it and nothing really happened. I think he lost 10 morale or something nothing crushing
I know this is about to be more exciting than that TNF game I just watched.
Nwosu warping got me thinking about when Joe Michael canonically used time travel that one time.
The Arrington storyline is pretty realistic. You see this BS with WRs all the time.
Nah no WR is going to demand you give them rushing attempts lmao
"3 teams down the road" A+++
Having a solid season and Lawrence is playing some smart football. Offense sells tickets but defense wins championships and the defense is pretty solid. Really enjoying the series!
Cane:Getting him 8 catches and 2 runs is a difficult thing to do
Me: so why'd you pick it 😂
What other choice did he have? It was the easiest of the 3 options he was given. The others ones are:
6 catches/4 rushes
7 catches/ 3 rushes.
He went with the odds of more catches to runs in the sim engine.
The game sucks. He did what he could.
Short of changing him to a running back and putting him at slot receiver and starting RB.
But thats cheezin.
Stuff like that is nuts when you plan on running the game on sim.
This series is just the best, Cane!
Hey cane loving the series so far!Think you could switch up the jersey combos a little bit more?
That throw away... like yoooooo. Lol
Being threatened by the computer is where it starts man 😂
Loving the pace of this series. I'm also fine with ignoring interviews/storylines from now on. They are so clearly half-baked. A WR demanding rushing attempts, it's unbelievable that they shipped that feature

19:40 As a Jets fan, I hate you for this cane. You’re not wrong tho
I remember loving Brandon cooks coming out. I was 13 lol
A couple episodes ago you talked about needing the type of QB who could come back and win a game late for you… enter Chuck Johnson!!
The announcer jinx is real!
I don’t know how EA has managed it but they in fact have just gotten worse the AI in slow sim has had the most amount of problems I’ve seen in both cfb25 and madden compared to last years
This video was pure comedy
these press conferences are hilarious
Lets go!
Just so you know, YAC is Yards After Contact, not catch. RAC is run after catch.
CHUCK JOHNSON Clutchin up with his bad self!! 💯💯
Future starter ^^
Exited for the next episode
Those press conferences are terrible. Please stop.
my players literally have 20 morale rn bc of the broken press conferences
Mine too they need to fix it
Wrong they are hilarious
"10 wins?
*10 wins!!!???*
Coach, you're so pessimistic. *Everyone* gets 10 wins....
Come back to us when you grow some confidence, for *once* ......"
i know i’m late but i love the coincidence of trading Tuli for Nwosu, both former Chargers 2nd round picks at edge rusher who went to USC and wear a number in the 40s
Dline I usually go with Mr. Big Stop, Unfakeable, and either goal line stuff or secure tackler.
I think a big part of my problem with the situations is that they heavily assume that you’re controlling the players, not just watching.
To help the pass rush Mrhurriicane needs to change his de's to speedrushers to help the sacks and pressures but you should keep the dt's to power rushers. Not tring to steal your job just tring to help

Can you go into more depth on how this works? I don't quite follow the example you gave.

Did you just trade for a wizard? 14:22

Spoiler guard 🙅🏾
22:20 Bogo sounds better ngl
I see a 10-7 finish to this year
Chuckie!

You should see if you can set alternate jerseys for certain games
🔥
Eli is a crash out bro 😂
I predict the season to end with a 9-8 record
Eli Arrington might be another Giants kaderious Tony
hey cane, wanted to tell you that for lineman, only the pass block finesse and pass block power matter, as they relate to power and finesse moves. pass block means nothing. vice versa, run block is the only rating that matters in run blocking, the power and finesse mean nothing.
Eli Arrington is running his mouth a whole lot for someone who doesn't have a no-trade clause.
Hey Cane, Sieczkowski’s name is most likely pronounced ‘m”Seej cow ski” I live around a bunch of polish people and there’s some names spelt like that.
I don’t think you need to see anything else from Trevor, especially with a lot of qb talent next draft. He folds under pressure consistently.
We have to be scared of Arrington
eli arrington is getting a bit edgy on the sidelines
Eli Arrington is such a touchdown merchant this dude must be annoying as hell to play against in fantasy lol
Arrington needs Juke Box rather than Bruiser due to his ratings being what they are
A WR being a psychotic diva? Madden has never been more realistic
The game seems to be doing everything it can to PREVENT Arrington from getting to 8 TD's.
Meh he only needs 2 more for 8. Should be fine. Lol
Yeah ignore the stories they are silly anyway
This episode shows why buying madden is such a waste of money. Game has been out since August and yet multiple glitches and the press conference stuff is just ridiculous
Don't pay Trevor. U can get a rookie trade the RB with ur pick.
TRADE LAWRENCE immediately and please draft best players of need like in NFL passing on Top 5 talent is negatively impact your teams development
