- Hello everyone😊
I know it's been a while. Shout out to those of you who asked genuine questions. I"ve been doing other works before now so I had suspended working on my stories for more than two months. Besides, I had to get all my facts right because this particular story is historical in nature.
Afonja is a historical character whose story has somehow being misconstrued or misunderstood for the most part. And from most of the write ups I read I noticed that most of them were looking like copy and paste kinda. So while I thought about the documented details of Afonja, the storyteller in me asked some questions that birthed this story y'all are watching today.
I'd also like to use this medium to inform y'all that we are now on Patreon.com for some of you in diaspora or within Nigerian that might feel led to support financially, so that My Nigerian Folktales Productions Limited will be able to employ more hands in the production of more interesting contents.
In the meantime....this is Afonja. Enjoy!

Before I proceed, is this about Afonja of Illorin? We are having that topic in our History by nextweek, and if it centers fully based on the true story, then this should be a good instructional material, I guess RUclips directed me here coz I had already searched for Afonja of Illorin early in the morning to read more and teach.
@MyNigerianFolktales please can you help me in answering some research questions base on this story? thank you
Ok , what questions do you have? I'll see if I can help in answering. But I think your best bet is google because I think I have written and produced this story to the best of my knowledge and research on the subject matter. And hope it answers any question you may have when you've watched all three parts.
Were can I find the songs sung in this video?
Please I really want to use this story for my research
❤ Love it!
