I just got this in my recommendations and as starting out with car photography I should really get one of these. Thanks for the video man, I don't understand how so few subscribers - I checked your other videos and the content is pure gold!

Better late than never as they say, your video popped up as a recommended so you are probably going to get a fair few more likes from me across your videos. I have been photographing supercars for a number of years for the company I work for here in Wales so it is nice to go through and watch someone who is focused on getting quality images and the fact you explain your processes makes it helpful too. You need a surge in subscribers because your content is spot on. Thank you for your efforts.
Hey brother! Thanks for watching! I’m glad you found the channel! Hopefully you find it helpful moving forward =) sounds like you’ve got a pretty good gig over there.
@@TheCarCreative I am already benefiting from it thanks man! Your 35mm Porsche shoot interests me too, just seeing if the 35mm fits my style of photography against cars. The gig isn't back, just difficult because of the current situation. Stay safe fella.
Hey, thank you for the good content. I was using a polarizer filter on my Sony a7II with kit lens and got that rainbow effect on the windshield(tinted), do you know how can I avoid it? Thank you
Wow man, with the quality of this video, I assumed I was watching something from a big YT channel (50k+ subs). Awesome stuff, quality video man! I know this vids been up for almost a year and a half, but I only just saw it and am glad I did.
Wow, that's super kind of you! Thanks so much! I've been doing the "video/photo" thing for quite a few years now but only recently started the youtube channel so I appreciate you watching and commenting! It helps a lot. Stick around for more content for car creators!! =D

Thanks for demonstrating live on how it change the reflections, I will not do anything glamorous like shotting cars but it will save me a great deal of time and frustration for some photoshoting I do for my wife's crafts. (especially those damn photoframes with the front glass that reflect my whole office).
Hey Car Creative, this is an 18 year old photo and film hobbyist. I just wanna know how you were able to have ZERO noise in that low light sunset setting? Everytime I take night time rolling shots on my A6000, I get the greens and purples dots from noise. How do you pull this off!
The noise is usually caused by shooting the pictures with high ISO. Try lowering your ISO and use a longer shutter time. It will get rid of most off the noise. Also photoshop and lightroom both have a function to remove noise and chromatic aberration (colored edges).
So well done thank you. Many of the other youtubers fly through tutorials but you explained every click and why. Love love loved it. Thank you. Subscribed and notifications on!
There is something I want to learn! I’ve seen it in another video and I’ve asked for help many times but I never get someone how to explain to me. So some guy edited a photo of headlights at night and he added the reflection of the headlights on the ground. You masked the photo just like you did but he skipped the part in how to add that reflection or light on the ground. Video was like a quick tutorial.
is it just me or does a polarizer not work very well in really harsh light when there are no clouds at all? i couldnt seem to see where the CPL was effecting the paint on a bike i was shooting unless it was just the bike paint?
@@westonmackinnon3297 Thanks Weston! I appreciate that for sure! Friends on! I have worked my way through the Sony a6300, to the a6500, and now finally using the Sony a7iii which is mind-blowingly good in my opinion. Happy to answer any questions you may have in that regard.
@@TheCarCreative Aha i need one of those!! They are incredibly quiet and deserve way more cred than a lot of nikon/canon cameras that have been honed for so long. also i want those other ones. I just use a Sony Alpha A65V with a 50mm 1.7 and a 18-55mm. Have you ever worked with film yet? I'm starting and it is a really interesting process.
Weston Mackinnon I agree, love Sony for the hybrid vibes. They kill it on both photo and video fronts. Still love the Canon look for video but Sony does both well making it a daily weapon. Love it. I haven’t dabbled in film no, maybe someday!
hey mate I love ur videos , I also want to be a car photographer , I shoot on a A7ii with the sony 50mm F1.8 ( nifty fifty ) I'm just starting out don't have a lot of gear , do u mind if I ask what cpl u would recommend for me ( thread size 49mm)🙏🙏
Thank you! I needed this and I was super curious about the amazon basics polarizer, I think I’ll grab one to try...but now what lens is the best to use if you can only choose one lens for automotive photography?(I have so many to shoot for work it’s just inventory so sadly it isn’t as fun as this tutorial😩)
Oh good! I'm glad it was helpful! When it comes to picking a great all around lens... firstly it depends what camera you are using? And if you're shooting inventory for cars, you probably need something with a wider focal length but don't want to be limited to that. I would likely recommend something like a 24-105, or 24-70mm potentially. Or maybe get a cheap wide lens for the inventory stuff, and then invest a bit more into a better lens for when you're shooting the cars you really want to make look good. I dunno, hard to say without knowing what camera you're using. Thanks for your interest!
Would you also use a Polarizer for car photography without a tripod? Or will that make the car look weird, if only one side is reflecting? And if you take a picture of the front of the car with a polarizer, will only one side of the car be polarized? Thanks for the video btw:)
Yes, I would use it without a tripod for sure. At that point you kinda just have to pick which side, or where you need to cut the reflections the most, or possibly what is most flattering for the car you are shooting. Glad you liked the video! Cheers! 👊🏼
@@TheCarCreative Thank you for the fast reply:) I will test it asap, i have got an AMG GTS on the way to take pictures of and will use the polarizer for the first time. Cheers!

Hi there! I have a couple questions. Would you take the polarizer off for interior shots or can you leave it on even when taking pics where there’s less reflective surfaces? And do you have to change your camera settings/can you use it on auto or no flash? Thanks!!
Hey! You can keep it on if you like for interiors but I’ve found it can do interesting things with the interior screens. You shouldn’t have to change your camera settings no, other than potentially exposing a tiny bit higher. Yes you can for sure use it with auto and no flash. 😃
I couldn't agree more. I prefer to work with the reflections as a positive. Like having the sky act as a giant soft box to get those nice, even reflections. I can understand using a polarizer to get rid of harsh sun spots/reflections but I like the look of flat, even reflections.
Basti on GS I don’t think so, not without photoshop, but there are probably other apps you can get that help blend two photos together! Like photoshop mix I think is a free app!
Hey man, there is a whole video on the channel about about I work with car dealerships. Ultimately I had a connection and came very prepared with a pitch and lots of ideas of how to benefit the dealership, not myself. So many photographers are looking to create content for THEMSELVES and get access to cars, but dealerships don't need the content as they are often sent content from the global brand.
