- Russell T Davies and his success with Series 1 was not the only attempt that was made to revive Doctor Who after its cancellation. Back in 2003, in celebration of the show's 40th anniversary, Cosgrove Hall Films collaborated with the BBC to compose an experimental Flash animation as a way to see if a revival of the colossal TV programme was even possible. Joined by such great talents like Richard E Grant and Paul Cornell, this small yet passionate project made its big step towards taking Doctor Who into the new internet age. And from that, we got Scream of the Shalka. Now you can see its stunning title sequence remade in 4K resolution and with higher-quality 3D animation. Take a step back into a unique era of Doctor Who. An era that was indeed UNBOUND.

I'm always very thankful when someone goes above and beyond with a title sequence for Shalka and animate the opening shot, so well done for this incredible work!
Always happy to help make other people happy. ☺️
As someone who absolutely LOVES scream of the shalka I must say this is my favourite recreation of this title sequence!!! :)
Glad that I exceeded your expectations. 😊
Now this is an epic idea of the popular classic intros rolled into one without being messy! Absolutely stunning!! 👏🏼
Thanks. Yeah, the idea of putting the slit scan tunnel in with the flare behind the TARDIS came to me whilst I was working it early on.
Can't wait to see how this turns out Adam! Good to see you back!
Took me 5 months to make this.
Well that was a trip down memory lane. Thank you Adam.
No problem!
Definitely one of the best things you've made. Great work Adam!
That's high praise coming from you especially. Thank you. 🙂
Man if only you could remake the entirety of the Shalka webcast without getting into trouble with copyright, this was absolutely stunning.
A whole remaster? I think the Beeb already did that for DVD back during the 50th anniversary during 2013. 🤔
@@adamwalkervfx That was more of an upscaling rather than a full blown redo of the animation from the ground up
@@IcySlavKat I would argue that it was more than just upscaling, but I get what you mean.
No words can truly say how good this is, absolutely wonderful work!!
How about "fantastic"? 😉
I've been looking forward for this since months and the waiting was worth it! Glad to see a new doctor who title sequence on your channel
There's certainly more on the way.
@@adamwalkervfx That's great, I love your title sequences!
@@whovisuals4796 Thanks. Glad you enjoy them.
Nice to have you Back!
I never left. 😉
I love the music and the Shalka Doctor's face showing up. Plus the 2nd Doctor's visual at the beginning. Well done.
I also added a 2nd Doctor style transition on the logo. ;)
@@adamwalkervfx epic
@@silverbullet1620 thanks
That looked amazing!
Thanks so much! Your work is pretty neat too! 😃
I watched this about 4 minutes after the premiere, and truly this masterpiece did NOT disappoint!
The Pertwee One howlaround was executed perfectly! I really like how you incorporated the Lodge* Time Tunnel into the title sequence for the TARDIS ☺️ It's so much more dynamic and visually pleasing that way~
The flash of Richard E Grant's eyes was also done very well
One of my favorite parts is how you handled the logo: a slow zoom in to a giant, shiny logo, glimmering with light! Glowing against the glorious background
And last but not least, the opening shot of the planet at the end is magnificent! I love the sun glare, as well as the overall composition of the planet itself! It's bubbly gorgeous!
Basically, this intro was completely worth the wait~ Well done ☺️👏👏
Thanks as always for the critique Dr Volk. Honest people like you are one of the major reasons why I keep making videos. ☺️
I think you mistook the baker one "time tunnel" for the Sid Sutton starfield
@@IcySlavKat Ahh that's right, Lodge did the time tunnel - sorry about that; nice catch!
@@DrVolk You also mistook the Shalka meteor for the Sun. 😛
@@adamwalkervfx Ah ah, I said "sun glare"~ as in the name of the effect!
Wow this is a huge upgrade, so well made
Definitely an upgrade. 💯 Thank you!
This looks superb! Great job Adam
Glad you like it!
Its soo good to have you back!
It's not like I left in the first place. ;) Still got loads of video ideas.
That Was Beautiful 😍
Thank you! 😊
This was an amazing work of art, I liked the music in the background
I made a few edits to the Shalka theme here and there
Incredible work!
Hope it was all worth it ☺️
Consider me hyped! Can't wait!
Hoype!
Excellent work! Great remaster of the original
Thanks so much as always Pete! 😉
This is beautiful
Hope it was worth the wait. ;)
Amazing work!
Thanks a lot!
Nice work
Thanks
Awesome 🤩👍💙👏😎⭐️❤️❤️🟦💙💙😆😁😃😄😀🙂😍👌💚

Cooool.
What about the webcast version of SHADA
That's an idea... 🤔
@@adamwalkervfx
If you want to give it a 3d TARDIS then go ahead
@@yui4779 Oh I want to use a 2D like in the original. 🙂
I really like he theme with a disco beat.
More like hip hop or drum and bass. Imagine if RTD used this theme for Series 1 back in 2005. Personally I think it would fit really well. 🙂
awesome i love it
Glad you do 😃
*Heavy breathing*
.....You ok there?
@@adamwalkervfx MORE than ecstatic; this this stunning!
@@DimmehLooming Thanks.
Cool intro :)
Intros are cool ;)
