    • @Red7Ent
      @Red7Ent 3 года назад +7

      @@AdamDoesMovies 16:9 screens will never match every single film’s aspect ratio. Fincher, for example, tends toward a 2.39:1 aspect ratio, and most widescreen streaming shows will use a 2:1 aspect ratio. Both of these will cause you to see black bars on the top and bottom of the image. My point is that the 16:9 screens that most of us have were designed to
      Accommodate both the standard 4:3 of tv shows at the time and the wider 2.39:1 of cinema. 16:9 was designed to be the most versatile screen for both types of content. But many movies and tv shows began adopting the 16:9 format to fit the tv screens people were buying. But almost all movies use a wider aspect ratio than your tv. But film cameras (as opposed to digital) still capture at 1.66:1, which is closest to 4:3. The Snyder Cut is in full frame, so essentially, it simply isn’t cropped.
      That said, it was a bit distracting, and I’m much more used to seeing movies in wide screen. I’m guessing the movie would feel better on a projector or in a theatre setting.

    • @Lifesizemortal
      @Lifesizemortal Год назад +3

      It's a full matte ratio, meaning you get the actual full frame it was filmed in for IMAX. So if you actually want the top and bottom of the frame cut off, by all means, watch it in Fullscreen ratio. I'm sure your remote has a setting for that. It'll make the viewing experience markedly worse, but at least you can watch it in wIdEsCrEeN. Also if you don't want the movie to be 4 hours, you can watch the inferior Joss Whedon version. Seems like your ideal viewing experience for this would be the decidedly worst way to watch it, but you do you.

Also, I love your content, but you say you didn't enjoy Barry saving Iris? I am so surprised because that scene really resonated with me. Why do heroes make all their sacrifices? dood, the widescreen cut would show less from the actual content in the majority of the scenes. If you check the 2017 version you will see that most scenes were cropped from the original shots. Snyder simply wanted to show the full cinematic visuals. Nevertheless, i am not a big fan of 4:3 either but i got used to it and at some point i really appreciated this. For everyone who wants a 16:9 version, simply zoom in on your TV and there you have it.

      @@dukem991 In the 70s most big movies were shot in 1:2.35 widescreen, only TV was still 4:3. The aspect ratio is an artistic choice and has nothing to do with the time it was shot. If you want to get closer to your subject or have more vertical information you want to show you can shoot in 4:3. "The Lighthouse" is a good example, where this works very well. But i also think that using a wider format just looks more epic, especially if you are doing a superhero movie. Zack Snyder wanted to get as close as possible to the look of a comic book, but that does not mean that this also works on the bigscreen.

    The problem is.. Affleck is such a BAD actor. He blinks SO MUCH whenever he speaks, as if to make sure the person he talks to is gonna believe him. Really, look at it in the movie, he blinks when he speaks, in a way that reads like anything BUT Batman. Batman speaks with total security, doesn't blink on every word begging for your comprehension. It's a detail and some may think it's meaningless, but for me, that, and the expression he does with his mout area sometimes, you know, reminding you he's ACTING and those are his lines, while appearing like a chubby goody guy... PLUS the totally non-Batman dialogue... big nope. The only cool thing about Batffleck is that he LOOKS comic-book accurate, the suit is great and he's in shape for the role. Snyder's visuals are excellent as usual. But that alone doesn't save it, like, at all, imho. Good for Snyder to have the chance to show his complete work, tho, the guy really seems like legit good person, and, he's great with the fandom. And yeah, what they did to him, was wrong in so many ways, so, great for the RTSC movement to have achieved their goal.

    I was hoping Batman would scream Martha's name just to bring Superman back to his senses. The circle would have been complete.

    SteppenWolf suit wasnt new it already existed in bvs....i have to say ive watched your bvs vids, and you REALLY need to watch the ultimate edition of bvs, id love to see a review on it, n see your opinion of the difference, theres an extra half hour of story, that REALLY matters, especially to lexs plan n the whole story period, the ultimate edition IS the real movie that snyder planned to release, n in similar fasion to JL (but not as bad), they screwed him at last min n hacked the half hour out of theatrical cause they were greedy n wanted more showings per day🙄, bvs ultimate edition is my fav movie, even more than ZSJL, and ill be first to admit bvs theatrical was a muddled mess n plot is incoherent lol, UE is the real movie that SHUD have came out in theaters, and in that version u see the SteppenWolf design in ZSJL, like the scene in the beginning of ZSJL where u see lex in kryptonian ship, n the ship is projecting SteppenWolf in the liquid metal 3d stuff teaching lex, that scene is actually a different angle of the scene from bvs:UE, so whedons was really the redesign👎🤣

      And the amber heard accent is different, just like the atlantean armor n clothing, the aquaman movie unfortunately was a victim of the time it was made n got stuck in middle of wb bullshit lol, the snydercut scenes were shot first back in 2016, but by the time aquaman was made wb had it locked in a cellar, UNDER the cellar lol, and all they gave james wan to work off was the whedon version of JL, where mera scenes were cut, n they just changed her never seeing her performance or the antlantian designs from real JL, same with her dad being alive in aquaman lol, in snydercut she tells aquaman her parents died when she was kid n his mom raised her the queen, n now people not in the know dont realize everything in ZSJL, other than epilogue, was shot in 2016, way before aquaman was even started filming lol, so aquaman movie is really the one that changed it n is wrong, this all came first lol

    I think part of the issue with Batmans weight wasn't actually an issue with Batmans weight. If you've ever worn a helmet with a chinstrap you know how it moves your face out of shape, if you add a cowl which is also pushing the sides of your face forward and you get a totally different 10kg lighter looking bruce wayne.
    By the way, I love how WW throws the last robber at the wall and his head burst open ala Batman when rescuing MAAAAARTHAAAA.

    It's not the length of the slo-mo in scenes that's the problem. It's that practically EVERY scene has slo-mo. At least all of what I saw before I fell asleep late last night trying to watch this monstrosity. I'll try again, when I have more time...but I think I'm just fine with the Whedon Cut. No doubt, there's some slick stuff in this and overall it feels more competent. But, that doesn't make it necessary.

    This was easily the best comic book movie ever made. I disagree with everything you say. The music was perfect the slow motion scene with flash saving that girl was beautiful. Martian manhunter was more important then you seem to realize. He has been the one pushing the lead characters to be the best they can be all the way back to man of steel. He got Lois off her ass and out of the house so she could be at the superman resurrection scene to snap him out of it. The future scenes were supposed to show how the next movie was going to be. Really surprised with your honest review. You just seem angry with it

Although #ZackSynder tried smt in 2017, its 2021 and the story is dated, convoluted and #MARVEL already did it. You never build universe hastily, as pertains to... 1) Knowledge and willingness to read (the source material), 2) Take time to write and therefore the ability to do so, and finally, 3) Relevance. Steppenwolf and Cyborg were the only ones that improved in this Cut. Darkseid got sliced in the clavicle (should’ve gone for the head moment 🙄) with a giant axe from dudes animated straight out of 300 and Attack on Titan. He existed prior to the MCU and still 2nd to Darkseid. Sorry but hard disagree here. With your logic I guess Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland are rip offs of Toby maguire since Toby did his Spiderman movies first. Oh wait if they ever do doctor fate I am sure you would oh its a rip off of doctor strange because MCU did it first. Not how it works bud. It's cool you did not like this? The whole things just stupid.

    This movie was terrible, the slow mo scene with the sesame seed falling towards the camera. That wreck happened because of a man try to pick up his burger...
    Anything with Wonder Woman, the fast bullet blocking scene that they think looks so cool is just cringeworthy. Her acting is terrible everywhere. Kal-El... Nnoo.
    The scene Wonder Woman is doing a somersault over Steppenwolf she looks exactly like The Rock in Scorpion King.
    Darkseid’s CGI looked PS2/PS3 level animation.
