At the very least, OP should have had standing to bring the civil action against the biological father since he had standing, because of the financial burden that he was stuck with. The fact that only the "mother" is allowed to sue is sexual discrimination, which is outlawed by the 1964 Civil Rights Act, among other laws.

    • @Remianen
      @Remianen Год назад +5

That is incorrect. The OP does not have standing because, by state law, he IS the father of Seth for legal purposes. Thus, he has no "financial burden" any more than he has for the 3 that are his. The mother is the one who can go after the biodad because, in this instance, she is the aggrieved party. (When these laws were written, women cared about their reputation and wouldn't want it besmirched by being the mother of a bastard. So they'd sue the biodad for acknowledgement to protect their own standing.) The main problem is, many of these laws were written in two different societal ages. Women don't care about their reputations anymore, so many of these laws are badly out of date.

Paternity laws need to change, this is ridiculous. “The best interest of the child” it’s just a pretext because the state takes a cut of the child support payments, so the more money they can extort from the “Father” they will. An argument could be made that it’s in the best interest of the child to know who their real father is. The state should then garnish his wage, no question. There’s no reason the biological father should be able to skate on child support just because he was able to fly under the radar for two years.

Exactly right! I wouldn’t have anything to do with the ex wife or pay a dime for a child that wasn’t mine in that situation. The court can choose if my three biological children get taken care of or not but I would be clear about disappearing for good if forced to pay for a child my wife had with another man when we were married and lied to me about it.

Women like Amber can justify their affairs by convincing themselves they're NOT going to leave their husband for any of their affair partners. They have this sense of entitlement that they should be able to "have their cake and eat it too". The flip side: If their husbands do the same and justify that they don't plan on leaving, they have a meltdown and call him every horrible name in the book.
She purposely had this affair with Bob, because he's not a high-value man, and couldn't support a child if she got pregnant. That, right there, gives her an EXCUSE not to leave Erik for him. Why she didn't get an abortion, I don't know. I'm gonna also guess that Bob is not "in-shape", and that makes her feel more comfortable, due to her own weight issues.
When it comes to receiving compliments, we ALL value compliments from strangers higher than from loved ones. It's a normal thing, but to take it to the level of betrayal, that's not cool. This is why guys need to keep themselves in-shape. The one thing that makes a woman GAIN ATTRACTION to her long-term partner is ANOTHER WOMAN giving her man attention. This makes the "cat claws" come out,. and makes a woman think hard if she's missing some great thing about her man. It also makes her realize her man can replace her with another woman. That, right there, will keep her in-check.
I feel bad for this guy. The courts AND his ex-wife all agree he'd be a better father for Seth. It's no wonder Amber tried to get him back for 4 years, until he met Jill. You'd think Amber would lose weight and try to be more appealing, in this case, but no, she'd rather just continue on her current weight-gain path. The gal ending up becoming a "hippo" is a common factor in many of these stories. Karma...

    DUde...why call it disrespectful?
Call it what it is, a betrayal. How is betrayal a mere disrespect?
I mean...say a guy betray his country...would the judge call his behaviour disrespectful? No friggin way.
Hed be called betrayer, oathbreaker, commiting mortal Sin, etc etc etc.
What she did wasnt being disrespectful. Its a betrayal, she break her vow. She break her oath under God. Shes vow breaker, oath breaker, betrayer, she break the 10 commandments (several of them), she commit mortal Sin, she indulge in Seven Deadly Sin.
Call it what it is. Call a turd stinky. Why do u guys lower down the usage of language on the sin that she commit?
Geez....grow up some spine. Call a turd a turd.
This is the mindset that put Men in weak position with the court, with the Law.
Its like saying...hey, a guy killed a dude's father. Now the dude has to pay for the guy's medical expenses. But wait, one is murder, one is cheating (n lying/bearing false witness), how is it the same? Well, its the same sin under 10 commandments. It is a Sin because it deprive the cheated husband of his life prosperity. Cheating wife and AP knowingly/unknowingly steal Husband's life.
If one unknowingly cause the death of another through neglect, its called manslaughter.
Now, cheating wife and AP steal husband's wealth....they scam him to unknowingly pay for children not of his own.
Geez...at least japan has the guts to let the husband sue both the wife and AP....

Do the test, clean the baby off, wrap the baby up, and give him or her to mom or dad. Test comes back, dad is pulled aside, and told what’s what.
