- This may be my favourite book ever. The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale is a fantasy retelling of the Grim Brother's fairytale by the same name. In this review, I share my thoughts on what I think made this book so spectacular.

It is amazing that so many of you have added this to your tbr and some of you have even had the chance to read it already!!! I’d love to hear your thoughts on the book, so please let me know down below!
The only regret I have regarding The Goose Girl is that I didn’t read it sooner! This book was beautiful, tragic and extremely inspiring in every sense. The characters are brilliantly crafted and the depth of the story is so gripping I found myself in awe at this retelling of a fairy tale. There were many moments were the well crafted words along with the fantastic voices of the audiobook made me tear up a little. I felt like the journey that this tale took me on was one that my heart and minded needed, a reminder of what true kindness, friendship and self respect are.
The full cast audiobook was very well done. The voices were all well casted, especially that of Princess Anidora and the Prince. I highly recommend listening to the full cast audiobook because there is an afterward by the author; Shannon Hale, that is very illuminating about her writing process. I’m planning to gift this book to several people for Christmas, and also want to pick up a physical copy for myself. This is a tale that I know I’ll be reading over and enjoying for years to come.
Your videos are great, I think we have similar tastes, although I mainly talk about manga on my channel. I'm reading the rest of the series, are you planning to make videos about the rest of the Bayern books? I'd love to you know your opinions on where Shannon Hale takes this series.
@@chibikyo7 I'm so so glad that you enjoyed it! I'm also giving this book to a few people for christmas. I've heard that the audiobook is amazing, but I've only read the physical copies. Maybe I'll give it a go for one of the other books in the series!
Found your video because Shannon Hale tweeted it! I'm so glad someone loves this book as much as I do!
CL Polly THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LETTING ME KNOW!! I didn’t see that she shared it!!!!
FINALLY, a big name reviewer/RUclipsr talking about The Goose Girl!!! It’s always saddened me that no one seems to know about this book/series. I’ve reread them all so many times, and I don’t retread many books. My favorite is River Secrets, I love the audiobooks! (For those who prefer audiobooks, they’re full cast!!! I don’t like audiobooks but the ones for Books of Bayern are absolutely lovely. Great cast, great narrators.)
Edit: Anidori’s growth throughout the book/series from Princess Ani to Queen Isi gives me absolute chills. It’s so natural and so gorgeous.
When I was younger I could never get into Enna Burning, but I'm giving it another shot, and I'm hoping to read River Secrets as well :)
Jordan Harvey They’re definitely more fantasy based, I’d say, in terms of focusing heavily on the speaking elements, but they’re also insanely character driven and I really do absolutely adore River Secrets. (Sometimes I’ll randomly listen to specific chunks of the audiobook because it makes me so happy.) Enna Burning is the darkest, I believe, but Forest Born is from the POV of a depressed/self-loathing character (Rinna, Razo’s younger sister), so it’s quite heavy too. But man, seeing Isi from Rinna’s eyes in the last book is so, so amazing. I get literal chills. Isi’s growth is just stunning.
And I love that she becomes a mother, and it’s not portrayed as “weak” or a “burden” or just something that anything less than being a queen or a leader. She’s such a fierce mother and queen and woman and it’s so lovely.
Also the setting for each is different, and we get to explore not only Bayern, but Tira and Yasid and Kel (those last two to a lesser extent than Bayern and Tira.) Each have their own culture and it’s so rich and intriguing. That’s one reason I love River Secrets so much. We really get to see the differences between Bayern and Tira, in terms of climate, architecture, clothing, food, and politics. It’s such a well thought out world.
Gah I need to reread them again!!
Oh my gosh! The full cast audio makes The Goose Girl even better! And hold up... there are more? I'll need to read/listen to those.
I’ve never heard of this book! Thanks for the rec especially to hear that you of all people don’t have any criticisms of it - THAT MUST BE A REALLY AMAZING BOOK
Oh my goodness it's SO GOOD. I feel like a lot of people haven't heard of it since it was popular when it was released in 2003, but has kind of faded from people's minds since then. I would definitely recommend picking it up!!
Everything Shannon Hale writes is just incredible and is my biggest inspiration as a writer. Every character she creates adds something to the story no matter how small their role, people aren't ever just thrown in for no reason. I'm so glad there are others who can see just how amazing her stories are. Thank you for giving Shannon Hale the love she deserves.
Have you read Princess Academy or Book of a Thousand Days?
Jena Blake I’ve read princess academy, but I haven’t read Book of a Thousand Days. I will definitely be picking it up though!!
German fairytales other than Snow White, Rapunzel or H&G being retold always make me happy. We have so many amazing and, if wanted, even creepy tales that are worth being loved just as much as the ones Disney made mainstream.
Definitely going to buy this book!
I think you'll find it's a pretty faithful retelling too, which is nice!
"Favourite book"
Well, crap. I need to put this on my massive tbr pile now :x
Liked before I hit play
This is also my favorite book, I have read it so many times! I really like a lot of Shannon Hale books but this is by far the best. I'm sure it helped me become the reader I am today and I love it all the more for that. It's amazing that it's your favorite too, because not a lot of people I know have read it, by I think everyone should!
The way you talk is very satisfying-clear and elegantly. You describe things so well, I literally have a whole picture of the books you review after
January Wynter Thank you so much!! I’m glad you enjoy my reviews :)
I loved Shannon Hale growing up, though I've never read this book. But Princess Academy and Book of a Thousand Days are both amazing books!
I haven't read Book of a Thousand Days, but I loved Princess Academy as well. This one is my favourite by far though. It's a masterpiece. If you like Shannon Hale's writing, I think you should definitely give it a shot!
@@JordanHarveybooks I put it on my TBR!
Shannon Hale is a god! You should read Rapunzel's Revenge it is a western fantasy retelling of Rapunzel with light steampunk elements. Also check out the ordinary princes. It has less conspiracy but is really cute and sound familiar
I'll definitely check out Rapunzel's Revenge. That sounds amazing!!
Rapunzel's Revenge is awesome!! I picked it up because it was Shannon Hale, and it totally got me into graphic novels! :)
I'm going to the bookstore, so I'll check it out! *cuts off at spoiler section* 🙂
This sounds SO up my alley. I’m definitely picking it up. Thanks for the rec!
Oh good!! I hope you enjoy it :)
I just finished the book- in a day yay! I read it before I think and Shannon Hale's Princess Academy and some of her other series when I was a kid. Shannon Hale's writing always transports me into a magical fairytale that I never want to leave. Her words flow like water and her writing is full of wonderful stories that I can listen to and read all day!
Not that I don't love you picking a terrible book to pieces but it's really nice to hear you break down exactly why you love a book in the same way. Will definitely check it out!
I LOVE THIS BOOK TOO AND I GOT SO HYPE TO SEE THAT YOUVE REVIEWED IT
Enna Burning, River of Secrets and Forest Born are so good too!
I love your book reviews so much. Do you think you could make a video about how to make a book review video? Like.. things to take notes on, how to structure the video, etc. I’m trying to improve my book reviews, and yours are fantastic, so I’d love your help!
That's a good idea! :)
Thanks for making this! I’ve read this 10 times, and I have the same story. It was my first non junior book when I was 8, and I’ll always find this book magical!
I just finished this book (like an hour ago haha), and I absolutely adore it. I haven't felt really engaged by a book or been able to finish one in so long, but this one really captivated me! I loved Princess Academy as a child, and just figured out that they were written by the same person. I just ordered Enna Burning and can't wait for it to arrive!!
Abbie Carter ahh I’m so glad you enjoyed it!!
My goodness! You LIKE something! I-i-I-I don’t know what to do with this....
Hey, I like many things!!
bearhow my thoughts exactly when I saw the title of this video
Yes! I remember when I got it as a gift, I thought it was a generic fantasy novel, but it became my favorite book and sparked my passion for writing! Thank you! This book deserves so much more recognition than it receives.
I agree wholeheartedly! It seems like the people who have read it absolutely love it (for good reason), but it does not get talked about enough!!
I really loved this book too. And I also remember that you mentioned in a livestream a little while ago that you started reading the sequel, Enna Burning, but could never finish it. I had the exact same experience. I started reading several times but could never get past the point where Enna is trapped in that camp with that guy. Maybe it’s because of how helpless she seemed at that time and how unlike her normal character that was.
I'm going to give it another go since I already own it, so we'll see how that goes. If I'm honest, I don't really remember much about it!
I literally grew up listening to this book, it was my childhood. I love how much others and yourself love the book (series) as well.
I listen to your videos while i'm in the office, working. I really love your opinions and as a writer, i learn a lot from you.
Thank you!
Aww thank you! That's really nice to hear :)
i picked up this book at my library on ur recommendation and it didn’t disappoint! i was most impressed by the gorgeous writing style as you talked about - too often when authors write for children they seem inclined to almost dumb down the writing, but goose girl is a fantastic example of language that was quite complex and flowery that stays grounded and is easy to understand. thanks for the great review!! :*
olive mcfarland I’m so glad you enjoyed it!! Yes, Shannon Hale is able to use language in such a simple, but thoughtful and beautiful way!
The Goose Girl is one of my favorite fairytales, so I'm not sure if I want to read this book or not, because I'm afraid my expectations of what's gonna happen might spoil my reading experience... Plus (spoilers for the classic fairytale ahead), I don't want the horse to die :'D
Franzi S I definitely understand that feeling! I think you’ll find this is a faithful retelling, but yeah, fallada’s death is really devastating.
AHHHHHHHHHHHH YOU HAVE WONDERFUL TASTE !!!!! I HAVE NEVER HEARD ANY RUclipsR MENTION THIS BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL BOOK AND I LOVE IT THAT IT'S YOUR FAVOURITE AND OH MY GOODNESS THIS BOOK WILL ALWAYS REMAIN CLOSE TO MY HEART
courage, dear heart ITS SO BEAUTIFUL HOW COULD IT NOT BE MY FAVOURITE
I love this book so much I honestly gasped when I saw this video title 😂
It's SO GOOD
I have never heard of this book before, but it sounds like something I would enjoy.
Oh this is exciting! I've never seen a review for this book before. I read this book several times and I absolutely loved it every time (I loved fairytale retellings growing up, and I still do). So glad to see someone else who loves it! I haven't reread it in while, but I'm probably going to now :)
OMG Jordan!!! I'm so happy that you also liked this book!!! I thought I was the only one :')
I’ve been waiting for this for so long. It has always been my favorite since I was in 5th grade and I was so confused that no one else seemed to notice it. Everything about it is retelling perfection.
When I read this book from my local library, they put it in the teen section. I love this book and I am planning to read it again
Thanks so much for the recommendation. I bought this book after your video ranking your 2018 reads and it became my first 5-star read since August.
The characters are wonderful (especially Ani!) and I loved their relationships (Ani’s friendship with Enna and the other workers was so nice and I loved all the scenes of them in the hall just interacting, and her and Geric together were so cute). The writing is gorgeous and the story as a whole left me feeling a certain kind of way that I can’t quite explain. It’s a book that, when I have kids, I’d like to read to them someday. And without your videos I would never have discovered it, so thank you.
Osk the Bold oh my gosh, that makes me so happy. I’m thrilled that you enjoyed it!!
You look beautiful, Jordan.
thanks :)
@@JordanHarveybooks You're welcome. 😊
Oh! I love the fact that you related it to Anne of Green Gables. I really didn't think about that! I love that!
Ok, I read this book in two days, and that's only because I started reading on the evening of the first day. I can officially say...this is one of my new favorite books. It's such a breath of fresh air in its characters, writing style, and the almost fairy tale like quality it possesses. Seriously, my siblings think I am insane because I keep raving about this book! Thank you so much for the suggestion Jordan! I love it!
Oh my gosh I'm so glad!!! That makes me so happy :D
I love Shannon Hales writing all of her books are great! Shannon Hale, Megan Whalen Turner, and Gail Carson Levine have such beautiful writing that makes you feel like your actually there.
The Goose Girl was actually my favorite book growing up, too! I actually read Forest Born first because my school's library didn't have the first three, but I loved it, and I immediately reserved the others at the public library. I love the entire series and its one of the only series that I like to reread (I think Enna Burning is my all-time fav). I was so happy to see you reviewing The Goose Girl!
It seems like it was a lot of people's favourite book growing up which is so cool!! I love that so many people love this book :)
My best friend and I were in a bookstore last year and I let slip I’d never read this book. She instantly found and bought it for me. I wasn’t sure at the start, but as I got further in, it absolutely captivated me and it will always have a proud place on my shelf. Your enthusiasm in this review makes me feel due for a re-read already.
Rebecca Lee Definitely give it a re-read. It only gets more and more captivating :)
The fact that you have no criticisms for this book says a lot and must mean it is really extremely good. I will have to see if my library has it at some point and the fact that it is based off of a german story excites me because i am german and interested in all things german related. Thank you for the rec i am now adding this to my tbr pile!
Oh good!! I hope you enjoy it :)
Ugh I love this series so much and I'm forcing my friend to read it right now. When I first read it I accidentally read it out of order and read the fourth book first, which ended up being my favorite in the series. It is so beautiful I'm so glad to see someone review it like this
I can't watch the whole video, but it sounds so beautiful!
also, I'm loving your hair and makeup 💕
I'm so glad you talked about this book. It is absolutely one of my favorites and I was beginning to feel like if never remember the name of it.
It's such a good one, but I thinks it's easily overlooked and forgotten because it's not a very flashy story. I had kind of forgotten about it until recently!
@@JordanHarveybooks I remember it being sort of my gateway book into fantasy because of all the action.
Hi Jordan. thank you so much for this review. I am definitely going to pick this up soon and i was wondering if there are any types of rep in this book. hope to hear from you and keep up these fantastic book reviews. if i may suggest any books, a magical book i read when i was much younger was 'east of the sun and west of the moon'! thanks for the video and have a safe and happy day!!
Luna Mauro Hi Luna, I’m glad you enjoyed the review and I hope you enjoy the book! As far as diversity and representation, it’s definitely wanting, which is unfortunate. I still do recommend it though, as it’s a beautiful story.
I’ll definitely look into that, thanks for the rec!
The only Shannon Hale book I've read is Princess Academy; that was pretty cute and different (mainly because it's one of the only low fantasies I've read). I may have to see if my library has this one and the sequels
Brianna Vore ahh yes, I quite like princess academy!
I absolutely loved this book when I was in high school. Shannon Hale is an amazing author. Like you said her writing style is just so engrossing. When I was younger I didn't realize how much Ani had changed by the end of the book. I reread it recently and her growth is subtle but incredible.
Have you read any of her other books? My other favorite of hers is the first of the Princess Academy series.
I read the princess academy books when I was young and loved them, but haven't read them since. I'm hoping to pick them up soon and dive back into that world!
You're making me want to reread the Books of Bayren series so badly! These were my favorite books when I was younger. You should read Princess Academy by Shannon Hale also if you've never read it.
I love princess academy! I definitely want to reread it too :)
I have this book and I love and still love reading it. So happy someone is talking about this novel, I remember buying this ten years ago 😍
I read the Goose Girl a couple of years ago and loved it, too! Great review!💙
Glad you enjoyed the book and the review! :)
I love Shannon Hale's work so much! This whole series is great, as is Princess Academy, though it is definitely targeted at a slightly younger audience. I'm so glad that my favourite underhyped author is getting some love from someone on booktube!
I paused it because I wanna go read it! I really struggle to find books I like and I always am in search of good books, as a reader and a writer. Characters are something I’m really trying to work on so this seems like a good idea to read🥳
Yeah, it's a great example of how to do characters right! Would highly recommend it if that's what you're looking for :)
Jordan Harvey awesome! Characters MAKE a good book, and are also useful for learning writing skills.😁 thanks for the recommendation, I’ll definitely pick up a copy!!☺️
I’ve been waiting for this video since you tweeted about it the other day 💕
Hope you enjoy it!
SAME!!!!! I loved this book so much!! it's one of my all-time favourite books ever!!
Yay for once I’m early for your video! Can’t wait to watch the whole thing!
I hope you enjoy it!!
Jordan Harvey thank you😊
I scrolled a little while but I wanted to say I ADORE this book - I like how Ani grows from someone who, to be honest, is a little bit naive and not the most likeable (I don't think this is a bad thing at all) to such an AMAZING and believable and inspiring character. I really really want to recommend the Book of a Thousand Days also by Shannon Hale as one of the few books I like more than the Goose Girl. It is another fairytale retelling set in a fantasy world loosely inspired by Mongolia and the world-building and characters are just. Ugh. AND it has beautiful illustrations. If I had to pick one book to read over and over for the rest of my life? I really recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the Goose Girl.
That's a look of pure happiness in the thumbnail. 😂❤
I'll definitely check this book out!
So much love and happiness in the thumbnail because this book it outstanding :)
A book that got me into reading was a Phantom Tollbooth. Idk if you've ever read it, but it's a pretty quick read and it's pretty good.
oh my god this was one of my favourite series when I was younger! Enna Burning was always my favourite one... I thought no one knew about these!
Omg I just finished reading this book and it was so amazing!! I could not put it down and ended up finishing it in one day 😂. I love your review as well, but I’m not surprised since you have some of the best reviews on RUclips!
P.S. the song you used at the end is a song that I used in my student film lol!
Koko Lee I’m so glad you enjoyed both the book and my review!! :)
i’ve loved this book ever since i was little, i’m glad you like it too!
I love it! And it's so nice finding other people who feel the same way :)
positeavitea double the tea because I agree with you (even though the MC's name is too long, which makes it fantasy) and I love it when you're positive :D I hope you have a great day!
It's shortened for practically the whole book to Ani, so it doesn't really bother me! Glad you liked the review :)
I read that book so long ago.... its one of my childhood favorites too, it's so good, now I wanna reread it!
Nina Cruz you should! It definitely holds up :)
I have to read this one. Thank you so much.
When the book is good and u stop because u dont want to be spoiled XD
Speaking of which can u do a review on the heroes of olympus series? Im curious what you dont like about the book and series in detail
You should definitely give this book a try!!
And maybe, but it's been so long that I'd have to reread it, and there are a ton of books that I really want to read first.
This is my favorite book too! I need to read it again. I adore this book.
bjørk krøjb worth the reread!!
I read this a while back. I really enjoyed it. I've been trying to implement the factor of "Ma" into my stories.
16:52 Was that a sneaky Avatar: the Last Airbender reference?? I see you, Jordan. Nice one.
I was waiting for someone to catch that...
@@JordanHarveybooks Happy to oblige! At first I thought it might be a coincidence, then I rewound and watched it again more carefully, saw that look in your eyes and knew it had to be intentional.
Also, I totally agree - Goose Girl is just beautiful! A friend gifted a copy to me as a bday present, and I loved it from the first page.
Finally somebody who's read this book. I absolutely adored it. Have you read the rest of the serious? I believe there are four books total.
Not yet, only the first one!
@@JordanHarveybooks if you are ever on the mood for a good read I strongly recommend the rest of the books.
I'm definitely going to check out the rest of them too
I read the Goose Girl for the fist time a few days ago. It quickly became one of my favorite books of all time. I honestly never fell in love for a book so quickly
Adrian Valencia Ahhh thats amazing!!!
This was my favorite fairytale as a child! I'd love to read this book but it seems like the princesses horse Fallada is missing which always used to be my favorite part of the story. Still gonna buy it i think... It sounds really amazing!
Elena Elizabeth Nope, Fallada is in there and is a great element to the story :) Definitely give it a try!!
@@JordanHarveybooks Great! Definitly gonna buy it!
Thank you for introducing me to this book.
Areeba Asad No problem! Hope you enjoy it :)
If YOU like it, I’m definitely picking it up. Shocked, Jordan!
I didn't just like it, I LOVED it
This is one of my favourite novels! I love the romance in it, and the powers. I think the fate of Ani's horse was one of the worst parts, it's so rare for something like that to actually happen in the novel and for it to have a long lasting impact on the characters. So often deaths are treated with five minute funerals and afterwards the characters are forced to move on and don't reflect at all, beyond the standard "I'm so sad he's dead"...
I remember reading this book when I was younger but I really want to reread now
Also this is how I feel about Ella enchanted
Yesterday I heard from you about "The Goose Girl" and since I loved your rant reviews and agreed with the points you made I thought I should check out this book that you praise so much. So I bought it yesterday evening and have finished it half an hour ago and I have to say I like it. It was a pleasent, uncomplicated read and I really liked the story and the characters. The only things I didn't like were the royal names, for me they samed a little bit too ridiculous but they weren't mentioned that often so it wasn't something that bothered me too much. The other thing I didn't like is that the relationship with Geric felt a bit rushed? And I didn't like how he declared his love at the end of the book. But other than that I really enjoyed this book, I've always loved the fairy tale which made the book a bit predictable but that doesn't bother me at all since I love books about fairy tales. It was just a bit weird to see read my own name (Isi) as I've never seen it in a book before and Bayern as this is the part in Germany where I am from and reading the word in an english book was suprising. Nonetheless, thank you for the recommendation, it really brightened my day :)
Just one question: Did you like Cinder? Because I read your answer to a comment where you adressed Cinder and it sounded negative. I really enjoyed the series but I am a sucker for fairy tale books after all :D
I’m glad you enjoyed it! I read Cinder a LONG time ago and didn’t love it, but I’m considering giving it a reread
YASS! This book has been on my short list of favorites for most of my life, and no one seems to know about it. It was the book that made me fall in love with YA fiction, that showed me it's possible to write young women well, and that inspires my own writing every day. Without this book, I would not be the person (and certainly not the writer) I am today.
Have you read the rest of the series? IMO, they're not quuuite as good, but that might just be because The Goose Girl is pretty much perfection. Still, Enna Burning has a similar tone, River Secrets is about Razo (and your can't go wrong with Razo), and Forest Born gives us Enna and Finn's wedding. :)
I'll be looking for, if only so I can watch the spoiler section of your Video
Is it off topic to say your hair looks amazing like That?
Slicer Neons Thanks! And yes, definitely give it a shot :)
I've been curious about this book for quite some time now. I think I'll give it a try! Can it be read as a standalone or are there so many plot points and threads left open at the end that I would need to read the other three books as well?
It’s definitely a stand alone! The others are all like spinoffs. Each is told from a different perspective
@@JordanHarveybooks That's great, thank you! Have you read the others as well? What did you think of them? (I have started TGG by the way. I'm only on chapter 3 but I really like it so far!)
Great review as always! I know this doesn't have much to do with this video, but I'm just curious-did you hate ACOTAR or Red Queen more? Love your videos!
Glad you enjoyed the review!
I disliked ACOTAR more, but Red Queen was more disappointing.
@@JordanHarveybooks SAME. I think that if the characters were more interesting, Red Queen would have been so much more enjoyable. I also know that you said how Mare was very annoying and whiny in your review, but was it just me who thought she was also really unnecessarily rude and mean a lot of the time?
My sister and I love this book! I've read tons of Hale's books! Have you read the sequels and what do you think of them if you did? They definitley aren't as good, but I'm curious on your thoughts.
I couldn't get through Enna Burning as a child, but I'm excited to give it another go! I loved Princess Academy though :)
@@JordanHarveybooks I loved that one too. I also loved her book: The Book of a Thousand Days. I picked up all thw books I could find by hwr in the library.
i just finished reading this book and i loved it
Yay! I'm so glad :) It's such a beautiful story!!
I really loved this book so I’m glad you did too haha
My favourite book of all time is still "The War of the Worlds" by H.G. Wells. This book is so well written. Wells makes you feel, taste, and see everything that goes on throughout the entire book. It has social commentary, it has intense action scenes from the perspective of helpless human protagonists, edge of your seat horror, it has aliens, it even has a real as hell depiction of how violent and animalistic humans will become in a crisis. Amazing book, perfect book. I'll check this one out too. I stopped watching this video so it wouldn't be spoiled for me. Sounds like a journey worthy of being had.
Oh my gosh this is my favorite book too and I never hear anyone talk about it!!
Sarah Fielder I know!! I don’t think it’s very popular on booktube because it was released in 2003 but it’s so good! I hope some more people will talk about it now :)
@@JordanHarveybooks Hopefully 😁
A nice contrast to the horrendous retelling that is the "a court of thorns ands roses"
Ramieverse ! Oh my gosh I forgot that that was a retelling again because it’s such a bad one. Nice contrast indeed!
This is a somewhat unrelated question, but have you ever read Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series, not trying to push you to, just curious. Also, thanks! I’ll be reading The Goose Girl one of these days, considering I have never heard of it:)
You should definitely give it a go!!
And yes, I love the Percy Jackson series, though I'm not a huge fan of the Heroes of Olympus books.
Jordan Harvey Yeah a lot of people love the original series the best I personally love Heroes of Olympus, especially The lost Hero and Blood of Olympus, but i lost son of neptune and the lost hero, so I really want to get new copies of those then I’ll reread it all over again, including the og series, and make a better judgement. It’s my favorite story personally, and I agree with the never loving the main character most:) I love Percy, but Nico’s still my fave!
The Goose Girl is one of my absolute favourites! 🖤
Shannon Hale is truly amazing and inspiring!
rachie she really is!!
Shannon Hale has many good books :)
PS could you review Dorothy Must Die???? I hate it so much (very Wattpadesque) but I've talked with other reading ACTUAL HUMANS who like it?? WHy??
I’m going to read the book and then I’ll be back!
'like a Pixar/Ghibli film' oho brb purchasing
Got here so early! 😍😍😍
THIS IS THE BEST SURPRISE EVER!!!!
Oh I love this book!!
It's so good!!
I love this book 😵
i love that book
I watched the first few minutes of this video, went and bought The Goose Girl, and I read it in an afternoon. It was fun. Thanks for the recommendation!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
@@JordanHarveybooks I was glad you quoted from the passage where Geric tries to bring her flowers. Definitely one of the most wholesome, cute things ever! ♡
Lucy Kay how could I not? I absolutely melted at that spot!!
I'm convinced
Do you like the other books in the series?
