The Impostors avatar is really neat, I also made my avatar in VRoid, I had WAYY too many bones on my Avatar for Quest, like WAYY too many, I never got to attempting to optimize it for Quest, so this Impostor Avatar thing is making my lazy self happy.
Learning a bit of Blender and Unity has been massively rewarding-! And I can’t even play in VR 😂❤
thanks for the handy video, i currently dont have a custom avatar, someday im gonna try to sit down long enough to make a decent one in Vroid, itll be nice to have a avatar that represents/fits me
Vroid is a great place to start, but having gone through the whole process i strongly recommend you try and learn some basic blender stuff! Wish i had sooner. grab some assets from deviantart and just hack away at em. GOOD LUCK!!!!
Thank you I was a little confused because for some reason my main avi didnt get an impostor in the menu immediately so I thought it *wasnt* the beta, but after checking others I found yeah its there.
They certainly look interesting, that's for sure. Not bad though. I am excited for this feature to come out of beta whenever it does. For now though I wish it would let you use PC only avatars on quest if it has an impostor. For some reason I guess it just doesnt let you yourself put on an impostor avatar, but I dont see why not, you know?
Second thing I noticed ~ they say that there's an impostor settings script but I updated the creator companion and still dont see one. I want to try to see if the "extra child transforms" thing will function how I think it will. Im missing parts from my avi.
