You got to watch for those mud pits. I'll tell you a story.. I was riding in the Brecon Beacons (South Wales) and was nearing the top of one mountain. It was fairly wet (as it usually is) but that didn't deter me. I came up to one puddle, a small one a couple feet across, and proceeded to ride through it like many others. Much to my surprise, as I proceeded to sail over the bars, the bike came to an abrupt stop. That small puddle turned out to be a peat bog and was a foot (or more) deep. My wheel had disappear into it up to it's axle. I swear the puddle was just the size of the wheel but it swallowed it. One of those events that you just look back on and smile and laugh. Good times and a memory builder for sure.
That is definitely a puddle risk in the UK! Riding in Scotland, we had a rule - don't ride into a puddle unless you know how deep it is. Some of them were wheel-swallowing monsters that looked so innocuous from the top!
Just re-watched this series over the last 2 nights, makes me so happy watching this. I've ridden most of the trails you did here in the UK, very cool to share the best of the best with you

I fully expected it to turn cold and rainy the second you left! That sausage and Yorkshire pudding dish you were eating is actually known as Toad in the Hole. I'm surprised Guy didn't play a joke on you and say that it was toad for your last meal.
That fern forest at 20 min of extended, for me living in Israel, was a nice ending. Great trip, Bri. Great videos. I think it was a combination of the place and guilt that brought me to...PATROENLAND! Glad I did.
Ride hard and Ride strong guys. Dont ever be scared of getting hurt. I dislocated by ACL riding in a park on paved path. If i were to even take big risks on MTB that would rarely happen so ya you are not safe being safe so ride hard go out enjoy the trails dont be scared.

Amazing vloging. I had no idea the diversity of MTB trails in the UK. Stunning country. Plus, being a dog guy, hence Muddy Paws Adventurer, Guys Tilly the dog is a great trail companion and I was stoked to see this video with her in it. Fact is, I paid more attention to her in the video than the trailage when she was in it... Good work Brian. Looking forward to the next.

Shocking how Guy's "head gimbal" chin bar mount turned out pretty good i'd have to say! Solid riding Brian! That wet forested trail that didn't make the cut at the beginning looked remarkable!
and the weather is STILL awesome here, even after you left. I am up in Kintail near Morvich where you did one of your rides (I'm hill walking not biking) in 2 weeks and am hoping the weather holds
Awesome trip, thanks for taking us along. In regards to which foot you ride with forward, that is a goofy (right foot forward) or regular (left foot forward). If you ride any board sports, which ever foot you put forward on the board, will be the same for Mtb'ing. Just like board sports, learning to ride opposite stance on a MTB requires practice, and does have some benefits, but not as many as board sports.
Bit bummed you did not show the Forest of Dean which is my local trails. Great series of videos, your POV's are so much better than others. I am now a subscriber looking forward to the next one!
