Dennis Chambers has an extensive list of both older and younger drummers that he draws inspiration and ideas from. Drummers such as Buddy Rich, Billy Cobham, and David Garibaldi are some obvious choices, but some others may surprise you!

Dennis is so right! The younger generation of drummers are so boastfull! I think most great players are really humble, but the young guys think they need to be over the top to have cred. It's so off putting. Confidence, yes. if you have the talent to back it up. Ego? no. Doesn't matter how many chops you have if you brag about yourself in an annoying way.
