I'm a big Steve Perry fan but when other Perry freaks ask who could even come close to him vocally, I answer Lou Gramm, Burton Cummings, Russell Hitchcock, John Farnham and, of course, Mike Reno (just to name a few). When I left south Texas to my university upstate in my packed little chevy chevette that used to belong to my brother who installed a custom stereo system in it, the first song I blasted driving north on highway 281, was Turn Me Loose. Never felt so free and alive.

tara fehr : I was amazed when I happened upon a concert some years back. Mike still could sing the songs in epic Loverboy style. Truly. Incredible. Tip of the hat. I assumed my ears would curl up and die. The notes he had to pull off!! Never assume with Mike Reno. Lesson learned.

Mike still has that lip like no other. Man, good music and good times. The 80's were a damn rocket ride and these cats were put asses in seats as good as anyone. Saw em once, and they were just flawless, and you can't say that about everyone live but a few really stood out.
