Hi Rick, Thanks for another great vid 👍. I had to similarly extend a spar on a current model build. I made it so the scarf joint was where the rib notch was which added further strength to the joint.
I've got a trailer to move my planes around, so the big wing is no issue. But if I ever make another one of these, I'll make the wing in two parts for easier transportation. :) Rick
@rcflyingwithrick there ya go. I have one also. My 1/3 scale fly baby bipe won't fit in anything else. I'm starting to design two peice wings in most of my big builds though.
You show the complete wing in the picture, but the video does not show the complete build. Does the finished wing have shear webbing between the top and bottom spars? And I am curious if there are gussets on more than just the outer ribs? Could you perhaps make a video show in the details of the completed wing?
