I caught a very large Scallop and had a Cannonball hunt underwater at sea

    We thought we would go north again for a reef dive and ended up on the Waste water pipe again. I didnt even realise it went out that far as we were 3km off shore. Caught the biggest scallop I have ever caught which was nice. 147 mm. Stay safe

    Bailiwick of Guernsey shipwrecks is an independent scuba diving channel and gives everyone the opportunity to come diving with us. Diving with an underwater camera give the viewer and dry, warm, cost free, and enjoyable dive looking at shipwrecks, marine life and occasional salvage operations in all locations of the Bailiwick of Guernsey including Alderney, Sark and Herm. JP has been diving for 15 + years and is fully qualified in recreational diving as well as technical diving. The channel is light-hearted with occasional humour and is not a how to dive or based solely on the skill of scuba diving but it use, to gains access to the oceans depths. JP is a recreational diver and does not earn money from scalloping or fishing.
    JP enjoys Shipwrecks and are at the top of his list for filming, documenting, and exploring and this can be seen on our Facebook page. The sea life is a close second with many species to be seen such as: Crayfish, Lobster, Brown crab, Spider crab, Hermit crab, Bass, Pollack, Bream, Wrasse, Turbot, Brill, Sole, Top knot, Blonde Ray, Conger, Gurnard, Monkfish, Cuckoo wrasse, Mackerel, Octopus, Cuttlefish, Squid, Starfish, Scallops, Clams, Oyster, Hard coral and soft, Seaweeds, Gobies, Blenny’s, and many more. Maritime structures also get researched and explored such as lighthouses, piers, forts, caves and reefs. Guernsey life is relaxed and has a long and strong connection with the sea.
    Boats Used: Versatility 27ft, Cygnus, CI 21, Orkney, and many more
    Camera and lights: Go Pro 8, 9, 10, 11 with Mares EOS 10 RW 1000 lumens x 2, Attachments Flip 12 Pro package with 15 + macromate len.
    Dive equipment: Apex regs, Otter dry suit and Northern diver, Diverite wings, Faber tanks, Perdix shearwater dive computer.

    I think that big iron thing was a huge nut.

    That was pretty nice. Find a nice dive interesting the cannonball and then you had that scallop. That was wow I don’t get to see scallops that big everything I see a little bay scallops and they can get downright expensive.😂😂

      Hi Grace. We get about 80 p each, well Richard does 😂. They taste so much better then the farmed scallops and stay the same size after cooking. I kept the shell of the big one but didn’t eat it as I fed it to a seagul 😂👍🏻

    i watch other guernsey youtubers and i’ve made it a mission to one day visit!! i love the clean waters and abundance of seafood. ~sending love from Singapore 🎉

    Just enough for my breakfast,scallops are something I miss in Aus we can get frozen one but they don’t taste the same maybe it about water temperature.
