12:30 Currency exchange/Forex Scam is one of the biggest scams in the world. You can sue them in small claims court. There is a Small Claims Court in every European country where you can make legal claims on these types of fraudulent practices and don't need a lawyer/solicitor. You can also do it online.
The police can't do anything here as it's a civil case and not a criminal case. Since you have a receipt, you can claim this. The commission is usually €5-6, but not €30.
Oh...thanx for sharing this...i was about to get scammed few years ago in europe but a young kindhearted lady helped me out of that predicament.... good and helpful suggestions can only be given by locals...

Pratique Bhai scam in Europe is very normal, their laws is steal or scam €400 is legal. So be careful of pickpocket’s surrounding you!

Rome is good city but scams are common with tourists. Pratik is experienced traveller even though he lost heavily in dollar to euro currency exchange.

You should email your complaint with video to tourist department of Italy government.
Pratik, since you travel a lot, why don’t you try for American express card? They don’t charge you international exchange fees. You won’t have to go to these currency exchange centre. Just use card to pay. And i think other travel credit cards also do same thing.
