Thanks for the update. I'm south of Philadelphia, so even if we get an unch of snow, I'll be happy.

At 15:20 you drew the line right over my home. I went from out of the snow to 3-6 over the next 90 seconds! Looks like C-1 or 1-3 for me in SEPA. I was hoping for a changeover to rain after a couple hours.

It is amazing how there are no longer any big snow storms that come out of the gulf. It seemed like you needed a strong cold upper air low dropping out of the plains, a deep trough, and then have it merge with a strong moisture laden low in the gulf that then headed due north along the coast or Appalachian’s dumping a foot off snow or more across wide areas. That has not happened for years, maybe decades.

This is a fully non biased meteorologist! I feel a great endgame potential upcoming like a superstorm 93' thirty year plus storm. The only question is will there be enough cold air to keep it primarily snow. That's the million dollar question!

It makes me sick that the jet stream does not take a big enough dip on the east coast to bring cold air with it so that low pressure rides up the coast in the right spot where the dc i95 corridor gets blanketed with snow....we always get missed rather it snows to the north or the south, i really hate the i 95 FALL LINE and secondly those Appalachian mountains blocks alot of cold air to for snowstorms for the i95 corridor too🤬🤦🏿‍♂️...but hey man you're doing a great job for AccuWeather 👍🏿

If we had a nickel for every forecaster who predicted a major snowstorm for the Mid-Atlantic(!!!) several days out n then it didnt happen we could retire. Its what happens when you have so many runs over a period of time- they change. The snowstorm for us here in Philly is fizzling fast. This morning the NWS predicts Monday rain, high 46. Weather Channel rain, 45. Local weather for the same day rain, 44. Even overnight rain, low 36. Sorry, that aint gonna cut it for a snowstorm. Maybe at the end Tues, there may be some wet snow for a period, but thats about it. Snowstorm? From 5he looks of it, head out to the far N&W.

Fairly progressive system, and the angle of attack is not ideal for any kind of significant coastal flooding.
That’s not to say it’s not gonna get windy on the Cape, or there won’t be any minor coastal flooding.
Also, isobars not that tight until it starts to exit the area. No big contrasting high-pressure
