Wonderful rendition at the Swathi festival......Saveri is an Audava-Sampurna ragam with five notes in the ascending n seven in the descending scale! The beauty of the ragam wherein two swaras giving such a characteristics are Rishabham and Dhaivatham. The Maharaja Swathi kriti praises Anjaneyar !!!...right from 'scaring the Sun with brilliance.in childhood to knocking down of Lanka Ravanan by a fist-blow! ... all with great ecstasy and esteem you extol Kamalanabha.- Please favor me n protect!' Presented a lovely niraval @ janaka sutAdi vimOcana lOla'and the swarakalpana thereafter is brief but nicely proliferated with the raga phrases . Just one Charanam is sung . I think present day recitals invariably include just one charanam by all most all present-day vocalists. I am sure that Prof. SSI had sung this with three charanams in a cutchery at Thiruvananthapuram,
