I wasn't interested in medication for my depression because I saw family and friends and they seemed numb and with blank eyes, and I didn't want to go to therapy because I had a fear of opening pandoras box and not being able to process the outcome or cope. I try to get to the root of my physical and mental discomfort I read, exercise and try to nourish my body and get insight to help me develop a better mindset and feel better physically. As I was raising my kids I tried to overcome my anxiety and trauma and I didn't want to pass it down to my kids and I focused on being honest with them and talking to them and they were understanding and I feel better having slowly processing my pain and being a mother and wife was exhausting with trauma, now I do have a sense of peace and I am able to care for myself better. I don't feel I'll ever get over all my traumatic experiences. The hopelessness I felt has got better through the years. Thanks for your helpful videos 💛

Mariella yes, yes, yes , I -applaud and appreciate what you courageously lived -I was a single mom of my beloved son - now grown with children - 4 of whom I have as blessed to help care for and with ALL - was gifted with the delight of sharing their beautiful and naturally wise and kind spirits in our experiences together !
My trauma residues and triggers ; I just tried to be honest and real about - letting them know it wasn’t them causing my suffering. I am deeply touched by your story and how the smallest gifts of ourselves are so BIG!
Indeed , our growing relationships with ourselves and our children - are the Biggest Jewels 💎 of this human journey ❤ love and gratitude for this Special Place , and All of you precious souls! 🎉

As a CSA survivor who developed CPTSD, I will say medication really helped during a time where it wasn’t safe for me to process my trauma. I still needed to suppress it during that time. Now, I am at the point of my life where I need to heal to move forward. I haven’t been on medications the past couple of years and I don’t want to be on them. Doing EMDR, engaging with my body, self regulating my nervous system, meditation, journaling has helped wonders ❤
