Today we are at Avondale Forest, visiting Beyond the Tree's. Lovely to see you having a great time here! We took my Mum there for her 70th birthday-she loves a bit of history and a bit of nature so we did the guided house tour, the treetop walk, one of the shorter hikes in the grounds and the slide-then had lunch in the cafe. I think her favourite part was the slide! 😂 it’s a lovely day out and we will certainly go back there again.
Your mum sounds awesome and obviously the slide was the favourite part 😂😂 we only had a cake in the cafe as we had a fairly decent breakfast prior but the grounds were lovely too!!! Hope your mum had the best birthday 🎂

The only place I have visited that has no foxes is Whiddy Island in Bantry Bay. Hens/chickens can roam freely.

Avondale House was the home of Charles Stewart Parnell known as the uncrowned king of Ireland. You guys are great unlike a certain other couple of moaners from northern England who have done nothing but moan about the Republic of Ireland since they arrived.
Hi ya, our only moan is we haven’t seen as much as we would have liked due to prior commitments back in England, but we have found all of Ireland absolutely fantastic, amazing places, the friendliest of people and so so clean! We have been absolutely blown away by everywhere we have been and plan to come back and see even more, we couldn’t have picked a better place for us to start our new journey and genuinely have never felt so welcomed ♥️♥️

I've never heard of that place before. You should stop at Lough Key. There used to be a stately house there called Rockingham house until it caught fire..
.. it is ireland 🙄 Also, you should take the opportunity to climb Crough Patrick near Westport. People walk up barefoot, and it's also a tradition to walk around it after dusk. Theres a church at the top of the mountain and St Patricks bed.

@davycrockett36 some people walk up it barefoot on the pilgrimage day. I think the mountain rescue people would prefer that they didn't as it can be quite dangerous.

It’s definitely well engineered!!! It took us around 40 minutes but we where stopping to film and have a play on the kids attractions 😂😂

Yes we are, but as people who have been here a while will know, as we have continually stated in many videos, live streams, comments and posts, Neil’s majorly dyslexic so grammar is not his strong suit, and I don’t police everything he posts, makes or puts out, as for me personally it would be like nagging and it would dampen his creativity. It’s also a part of who he is and adds to his character and charm. For what he lacks in grammar skills he makes up for in intelligence and ingenuity, I have never met a person who can turn their mind to master so many different skills the way he does (and my dad was impressive that way also), but Neil is next level. He impresses me everyday and inspires me to be better, and has encouraged me to follow my dream of changing my career path, so thanks for pointing it out but we already know and it will most likely happen again 😂😂

Fun fact, Ireland used to be covered by huge oak forests however over the centuries of British rule the British landowners cut the timber and sold it to the admiralty to make the ships of the royal navy. The landowners typically had their prinary lands in Britain and were not prepared to clear the forests there. That said no guarantee the Irish would have preserved these ancient forests of whom only a very few examples remain.
Mad to think of how different the world would be if people didn’t go about chopping things down, and the British do love to sell things off 😔
We, all by ourselves, destroyed all our birch forests, lowland and upland. We, all by ourselves, have sheep wrecked vast vast areas of the natural landscape, all for headage payments from Brussels. Loss of fauna and flora, often permanently. Introduced foreign conifer plantations all over the place, foreign and acidifying lakes and rivers. None of this is a fun fact, it's reality, all created by us, the Irish.
